Even nuclear bombs can't do that and they heat up the air a hundred million degrees. The temperature range is crazy in One Piece.

i always find it funny when people say people are light speed for dodging a “light speed attack”, especially while using some sort of precognition. (ken haki, naruto’s sensory precognition, etc). if someone were to through a fastball at you and you already knew they were going to, then you dodge out the way, does that mean you can move 80+ mph? absolutely not😂 reaction speed and dodging is different from normal speed

What also makes that logic completely stupid is the fact that Admiral Kizaru exists and nobody was dodging is literal light speed attacks when he was up in their face other than I think Rayleigh. But anyway Kizaru is most likely the fastest character in the series and he's moving at lightspeed.

None of them had precog when they were dodging pre time skip. Also u remember Zoro outright dodging Kumas attacks which he himself states are lightspeed? For reverence look in chapter 484. I don't get why people have so much problem accepting that they are lightspeed. Its fiction. And its shown so many times. Nobody has a problem with people dodging bullets or dodging lightning but light no that can't be. If u don't beliefe that a literal laser beam modeled after the abilities of the light fruit isn't lightspeed I don't know what to say. By that logic u shouldn't beliefe in the speed or strentgh of anything in fiction.

Luffy before G2 already casually outsped lightning, kicking bolts of it to protect Nami and keeping up with Enel who not only was fast as lightning but also had precognition, despite that Luffy was able to blast him apart with a 300ton ball of gold. If you want to downplay Luffy just claim he is relavistic+++ and use the Kizaru argument.

what you didnt take into consideration when talking about Kakuzu is that he completely underestimated Naruto, like... he even says to Kakashi: "how did i loose to a kid?" you could say that he got "outsmarted" but in a circumstance like that, he simply completely dropped his defence and was way too confident to beat Naruto, cause the first Rasenshuriken didnt hit and he was like: "i have to be aware of not getting hit by that" but totally forgot about evrything else cause of his confidence. Kakuzu pretty much beat himself in that fight against Naruto, so saying: "hE wAs BeAt By BaSe NaRuTo!!1!!11!!1" is kinda an overstatement, due to the fact that Kakuzu didnt take Naruto serious nor as a real threat or opponent.

Except this line of thinking doesn't work because if Kakuzu was vastly stronger then Naruto he wouldn't have lost even if he was underestimating him. Which means Kakuzu wouldn't have been any more then twice as strong as base Naruto which isn't enough.

In no point in one piece is anyone stated to be faster than him, yet we see luffy dodge light beams right after the time skip (if they are even light beams) And then he proceeds to get punched by every enemy he faces, even those beneath admiral level No consistency there

@@micah2455they are. pacifista beams are direct copies of kizarus abilities, so anyone who dodges these makes them above light speed. Also, enels lightning moves at the speed of light, so anyone who dodged that is also light speed. Also, kuma has an ability to produce light speed attacks with his paws (he’s not light speed, just his attacks) and they were being dodged by pre ts zoro. By using some common sense and relativity, any top tier or even commander in one piece is easily light speed, usually ftl, and maybe even mftl depending on the character (luffy). Just because kizaru can make, control, and produce light doesn’t mean he caps out at light speed. Nichiji from g66 can do the exact same thing and has even outran his own light, which makes sanjis brother (who he fodderized) ftl. Sanji has unrealistic speed feats though (he perception blitzed queen in base, the same queen who could keep up with marco, that marco also kept up with kizaru, making BASE SANJI far greater then kizaru in speed. Of course, this is without knowing the full power of kizaru, he probably much faster and hasn’t shown good enough feats. Kizaru will probably end up being mft just like luffy as we will see here in egghead. Get ready to stay in denial naruto fan!

To be fair, Luffy was able to take those "island punches" from Moriah because he's made of rubber AND he's durable. Sure, Moriah was in fact strong enough to even hurt Luffy's rubbery body at that point, but I'd argue not by much. Almost all of the damage Luffy took during Thriller Bark was either self-inflicted from the Gears or from Kuma. Moriah unironically did only minor damage to Luffy. Hancock is the most beautiful woman in the world, so if Conan saw her, she'd be turned to stone. Crocodile got much stronger both over the timeskip and during his time in Impel Down. He's also a logia, so he's winning no matter what. Anything Daedera does just wouldn't hurt Croc. Also, there DEFINITELY aren't any "lightspeed" characters in One Piece besides Kizaru, a literal "light" man. Gear 4th Luffy is definitely NOT going "13 times the speed of light" or whatever. That doesn't make ANY sense. Again, the only character that can "travel at the speed of light" is Kizaru. My mans, saying Mihawk is "above the likes of Shanks" doesn't make anty sense. We don't KNOW if he is. Mihawk and Shanks haven't fought since before Shanks lost his arm, and that was nearly 9 years BEFORE he became an Emperor. Shanks became a top tier in the verse, an Emperor, with only one arm. Mihawk only refused to fight him anymore because he saw it as dishonorable to keep sparing with a man who only had one arm, much like how Katakuri saw it as dishonorable to keep fighting Luffy after he's been unfairly injured.

One correction: Gear 2 doesn't have a times 10 multiplier. The French team just added that, it wasn't in the original Japanese. Gear 2 is a x5 multiplier based of douriki of blueno and lucci

Just wanted to say that translating "décupler" as "×10" is really shakey as is because, yes, this is the literal meaning of the verb, but in practice it almost always means "multiplied" in general or "greatly enhanced", the french translation uses this word to describe the Kaioken as a technique in general and it does not limit the use of the word to the Kaioken ×10, because as I said, literal translation and in practice meaning are very different things. So the french translation used doesn't literally mean that it's a 10 time amp but it simply denotes that his speed is vastly increased with no numerical value attached and I have never seen a French person assume that Gear 2 made Luffy ten times faster because of the use of this verb, it's something that arises only if you try to literally translate the sentence

I think Law may have a better chance if he uses the same technique he used against Big Mum (just creating a giant ass hole) which can probably pierce a susanoo if I were to guess, that on top of law having observant haki and literal teleportation meaning the only way he loses is against genjutsu, which itachi happens to be an expert in.

Yea and the thing with One Piece is that they're not just dodging things that are light speed, they're using observation haki to observe the future and predict its trajectory to counter/dodge it. I feel like that's an important distinction. None of the Akatsuki have the ability of premonition (Except for Itachi (Sharingan through muscle reading)) but Observation Haki is much more of a supernatural ability and something most of the Warlords more than likely know and utilize. In One Piece, the fights are more "who can out predict who" rather than just being "who is faster".

Luffy and other characters were dodging lasers even before they got observation Haki. Even after getting observation Haki it’s made apparent that speed is still an important factor in dodging; Enel had observation but he wasn’t fast enough to dodge Luffy’s final punch, Katakuri had future sight but Luffy was just fast enough to avoid several of Katakuri’s attacks even in base, Luffy had future sight but Kaido was still fast enough to still knick a dodging Luffy, etc.

What people seem to forget is everything is exaggerated in the One Piece world. Just look at the size of their foods and Zoro's workout materials.

I feel like we're forgetting that boa has the devil fruit that can basically one-tap 99% of the population plus all three types of haki. And if you wanted to get technical none of the akatsuki have haki meaning none can damage crocodile but blackbeards powers can only negate devil fruits so he couldn't stop any abilities from naruto.

I think itd make sense in this case because there isnt any indication of law training to get stronger after he wasnt a warlord anymore. And jimbei shouldve already had his haki and strength before he left as well

Actually, I'd argue otherwise for Law vs Itachi. Sure, Law has Itachi beat in every stat possible, but he wouldn't know that Itachi can cast genjutsu with his eyes, or even what genjutsu is, so just one look at Itachi's eyes and there's Tsukuyomi. You could argue that Law could resist the Tsukuyomi, but that's hard to believe since only 48 hours in it was enough to hospitalize Kakashi. Sure, Law at that point is much stronger than Kakashi, but his mental fortitude doesn't necessarily correlate to his strenght

You could literally see yourself getting into a genjutsu in a third person perspective and know something is up.

I agree tbh, genjutsu would 1 shot BUT, If we are assuming genjutsu can be casted on op characters (genjutsu controls the flow of haki) so verse equalize and op characters have haki, should verse equalize also make law see genjutsu coming with observation and 1 shot itachi before genjutsu is casted? Equal stat itachi 10/10 wins

So for the black beard fight I don’t think equalization is even needed because when teach explained his ability he described it as the gravity of darkness so anything that can be subjected to gravity would be affected

Emptiness seeks equilibrium and thats why it sucks things in itself. That's why it's main ability Black hole can absorb an entire town and spit it back out. If it were an actual black hole it would crush everything that fell into it.

The Deidara disrespect is insane ! Dude one shot the 3 tails with one of his weaker bombs, beat Gaara with minimal clay, destroyed and entire village with C3, can fly, beats almost everyone who requires oxygen with C4 with the only exception being those with dojutsu.

If the explosives were strong enough to melt Crocs sand into glass it could in theory do enough damage to cripple or kill him. Blackbeard isn't intangible like other Logia and a C3 explosive would have a good chance of killing him outright.

Apoo was able to hit kizaru unlike the others pre timeskip using a hax ability, leaving kizaru blown up. But he was just kinda able to...come back together.

Kamui is passive so it wouldn't really matter if dude was faster than him in that regard. If you were to say he was going to trick Obito and attack him while he dropped Kamui to be able to hit him like Minato did then thats fair, but a straight speed blitz before he activated kamui wouldnt work. Unless he like sneak attacks him or something but if thats the case then Akatsuki are literal ninjas I doubt pirates are going to have the advantage if we are allowing subterfuge lol

Agreed. We’ve never seen any character exploit “catching Obito off guard” The only time Obito’s Kamui has failed is when he’s attacking and that’s because he specifically has to make himself vulnerable to attack. It’s either Obito’s Kamui is passive so it’s never off or Obito’s reaction time is so far above any character that he has never been caught lacking with Kamui.

That's the irony of it, characters in one piece are way faster than ninjas in Naruto, because they are already superhumans in base, like they can train their bodies to achieve that ( best examples are Roger and garp) while strong Naruto characters either came from a powerful clan and trained, or has a beast or alien/gods affiliated to them. Luffy eating island cracking punches is not a feat for his durability. Its just his hacks that he is immune to blunt dmg. Also I rly don't think Luffy preskip can split an island since it was very clear that Moria with 1000 shadows was strength wise way above Luffy and only lost cause he was already so damaged that he couldn't control his abilities in addition to him mentaly colapsing at the end of this fight. If Luffy on his own rly was that strong think about what that would mean for Morias durability since he soaked a storm of punches from Luffy with 100 shadows absorbed and got up afterwards.

Given crocodiles recently revealed bounty being simular to mihawk gives him more props in my opinion. He is stronger than people think now in the story.

What I am saying is that Luffy is probably not going the speed of light, like physically, he is traveling slower than it. But because of haki, he can probably sense it coming and to some extent perceive it, therefore can time it and move to dodge it. His reaction time > or = to light speed but his physical speed, like how fast he actually can move is < the speed of light.

Law can easily defeat every akatsuki. He can just instantly cut them up and they don’t have Haki so they can’t do anything. He also isn’t just ‘’’fast’’ he is faster then light speed is teleportation is instant.

@@ynwa026 yes, actually, he can.if they both knew each others powers Goku and saitama would one shot him the second the match starts, but he’s still ABLE to cut them. His fruit is op because of that. U have to have a high level of Haki to be able to resist getting cut. And also it’s not actually law just directly cutting you, if ur in his room (which he can make the size of a country) he just needs to swing his sword and h will get cut into pecies

But he must have used observation haki at that point. Like one piece doesn't make sense. First we got luffy dodging light then we see him barely running away from an avalanche

theres a difference between combat speed and travel speed. also we see luffy only move after the attack is fired so observation haki wouldnt matter

Reminder that the one piece world is several time larger than earth which arguably is similar in size with Naruto’s earth so with that logic, humans in one piece world is several times stronger than Naruto humans when you consider the force of gravity relative to mass of the earth

I think there was one mistake, while rasenshuriken might be a town level attack in terms of range, it’s damage completely nullifies defense as it attack your cells and rips them apart so I don’t really think you can say kakezu is town level, I mean he did survive a fight against hashirama and you guys have put him at planetary so I wonder what that says for him

Luffy has plenty of laser dodging feats aside from the post timeskip Saobody dodge; his best laser dodging feat in the pre timeskip would actually put him at slightly FTL, and even ignoring any possible gear multipliers Luffy got at least 500x faster in Dressrosa from matching Doflamingo to blitzing him in Gear 4.

Pre timeskip zoro is dodging lightspeed propelled attacks by Kuma, so in no sense shoul luffy have a reaction and movement speed lower than zoro or else pre timeskip zoro -> post timeskip luffy. Even with this, he got one shotted by Kaido in wano and said the attack was too fast, so that confirms Kaido is at least relative to lightspeed. Onigashima luffy still barely able to keep up with kaido, but dodged the bagua which puts him at either lightspeed reaction and movement or massively relativistic+. As the battle goes on luffy is now able to go toe to toe with kaido and clashes with him and ends up outspeeding him when he unlocked acoc. This feat should put him at relative to ftl

if you put tobi while in akatsuki vs mihawk, sure, he has more chances to win. but anything above that is just overkill. juubi could arguably wipe out the whole op verse

Yo why did kakashi always have the rawest taijutsu fights though. The choreography in the little kakuzu scrap is so underrated and we all know the obito fight is hype.

Even above inconsistent scaling, if you think of an application for these characters, what is any of the warlord's doing with something like chuubaku tensei. What are any of the warlords doing against Itachi's genjutsu if caught off guard. 1 on 1, the akatsuki MIGHT lose overall, but the application and scaling of their attacks dominate incredibly hard

7:56 the two tails was a perfect jinchuriki when alive and Kabuto even mentioned not having enough chakra to amplify them. Neither dojutsu mentioned directly increase speed.

For Mihawk vs Obito, it took KCM 1 or 2 to damage Obito and he was dominating Kakashi, Guy and KCM 1 Naruto before Naruto got KCM 2

There’s been a pattern the akatsuki has better hacks, but the warlords has better stats

I mean yeah he’s right, after the war Naruto scales to Kaguya and so the akatsuki basically become pissants due to no growth , whilst in One piece the warlords continue to scale up and get stronger as time progresses

The moment his C4 is active, which Croc literally will not be able to see, smell or hear, and breathes it in, the nanites will disintegrate him from the inside out on a cellular level, even if it doesn't explicitly "hurt" him, he'll literally be able to do nothing to stop/beat/counter it

One way I like to justify equal stats battles is by saying it's essentially if you put their character in a different verse's ruleset. Like in Naruto, Lightspeed is pretty much as fast as you'll ever get outside of a few faster than light feats. So if you put a one piece character into the naruto verse and made them train from the ground up, they would only get as strong or as fast as people in that verse could get. Whereas if you put someone like the raikage or naruto into the one piece verse, they would require a lot less training and effort to reach the level they were at before due to how high the limit is there.

It's so weird trying to make MFTL One Piece in debates. Like on paper with all the feats isolated it makes sense but reading through the arcs with those same feats along with SBS makes it so conflicting with the statements and running around the characters do to get places. Like, Nami apparently FTL in reactions but is never portrayed as fast.

@@LinkedHero I don't doubt devil fruits can be improved as a user masters them but I'm skeptical on Zues being stronger/faster than Enel's lightning. After all Zues is just a cloud under control of Big Mom's soul. Some devil fruits seem more than just their element like Akainu's magma being better than both fire and light in terms of destruction/heat somehow.

Big Mom not only grants life to inanimate objects, but they also have the ability to move, which entails that they’re being gifted with speed. Trees which could initially only grow at a snails pace suddenly have the ability to move and are fast enough to keep the Straw Hats lost in the seducing woods, tea cups and foods can traverse distances at their leisure, etc. If Big Mom is able to grant speed to objects which generally don’t have actual speed of their own, then it’s not too much of a stretch to assume that she’s granted Zeus faster than lightning speed with how powerful her soul is.

There's a difference between movement speed and reaction speed. That's why dbz characters don't just appear in a location instantly. Reaction speed is how fast you react to attacks. Movement speed/running is how fast you move from point A to B.
