Why Vader Originally Decided to Turn on the Emperor - Not to Save Luke (Canon)
Ойын-сауық
Darth Vader betrayed the Emperor at the end of Return of the Jedi, but before that he began plotting to turn on the Emperor and usurp control over the Empire. But what caused this change?

Not ONLY to save Luke being his son, but ultimately to save himself from the dark grip of the Emporer.
You only have to forgot all conversations Luke and Vader had in ep VI for your theory to make sense. Aswell as like, most of his story. The mere concept of Anakin biding his time, lmao.
for a second i thought this would be a contradiction of this being lukes first fight with vader.
Papaltine the only person that Anakin could trust ended doing nothing but lying, deceiving, and manipulating him,!
The Emperor is a mug !
clickbait, did not enjoy u said not to save luke, in the end you said to save luke.

Actually, from the context of the video presented, the title would be accurate. Saving Luke was the ultimate goal by the end, true, but not the inspiration for Vader’s betrayal to begin with. The initial inspiration of the betrayal is the subject matter of the video, not the fully developed end.

Would have been cool to just see Coruscant in the OT, or I guess it was called Imperial City. Other than that brief scene at the very end. I remember watching the special editions when they added that and being like, where the hell is this supposed to be?
