Pretty sure most of them are on sarms Lesner is on full blown steroids Both are cheating But steroids are not the same as sarms... Steroids are s lot stronger, make u far more aggressive But looking at bodies, I'd suggest most UFC fighters who look like they use illegal substances... Seems like sarms is the more common choice to me Because the bloat isn't there, the unnatural shape isn't there The same way it is with Lesner I could be wrong, obviously it's guess work for us all because we don't have any actual real proof I'm just being observant In my old small town Steroids is the most common drug other than weed My current town it's all spice aka mamba people use... So everyone's really thin lol

Rousey also outsold him. But yeah, no doubt he was a big draw. But I feel like these three were big more because of their celebrity status than their fighting ability. Brock was already a massive celebrity years before UFC. While Brock was a very good fighter, I wouldn’t put him on the level of “great” or top tier - like Randy Couture before him, he was a Paper champion. Overeem and Valesquez had zero problems defeating Brock. It’s doubtful Ngannou, Miocic, Emelianenko, Werdum, Cormier, possibly big Nog (he was a bit past his prime by Brock’s era) would have had much trouble with him either. Lesnar is certainly very good, just not top tier. Just as a note on Couture being paper champion - because it’s a claim people won’t like to hear and I probably should justify it (even if it’s off your topic). I think he was the perfect “styles win fights” champion, as he could defeat certain fighters fairly easily because of his style. He did well in UFC, but he was’t exactly facing top tier heavyweight competition while there - his biggest heavyweight wins were over Gonzaga, Rizzo, and Sylvia; not bad, but none of them are top 50 heavyweights. Couture is often ranked top 10, but there’s no justification for it. Over in Japan, in the middle of his prime, he fought six fights - 3 fights went to decision, and the other 3 he lost (all by submission).

  • @angrymaniac53

@@lindenstromberg6859 you know Brock has one of the highest title defences in a row i.e. 2 title defenses in a row with only Miocic having more i.e. 3. And Brock wasn't a paper champ. Brock literally brought a new era of heavyweight. Also the Brock that fought overeem should be compared to the Cain that fought Francis. Both were out of prime at that time with Cain loosing his prime from injuries while Brock loosing his prime from diverculitis. If you are saying "Brock is a paper champ" because of someone like Cain who later beat Brock and became champ then Cain, JDS, Werdum they all were paper champ until stipe became the champ🤣. Champ is a champ and Brock and Randy became champ by beating former champ. Also Brock is one of the most accomplished heavyweight in heavyweight of ufc. You might not like it but it's truth🤣

Love him or hate him, he helped the sport grow and as a kid who did amateur wrestling up through my middle school years, I always thought he was badass as hell because of how he could be so big but still so quick. The professionalism is another cool thing to me. His persona, whether it's the new Icelandic cowboy look or back in his pure Beast-type era, he knew when to pull the public stunts and when to dial it back for interviews and his daily life. His style in MMA was old fashioned a la Mark Coleman but I feel like everyone has that primitive side that looks at a guy who's 265-280 somehow making other guys who are 265-280 look tiny and proceeding to manhandle them. He was entertaining as hell.

It was a shame that Brock contracted the illness that he did, it stopped his career in it's tracks. I understand where people are coming from who resent the preferential treatment the promotion gave Brock, putting him ahead of contenders who deserved their shot, but Brock at least proved he had what it took to compete, shocked everyone and in spite of his weaknesses became champ. I also think the criticism that he was juicing is fair, although the sport was very dirty back then and only a minority of UFC athletes weren't taking PED's of some kind.

Brock is a very large, very strong, very athletic man that came from a very humble background and made himself into a person we are still talking about years after he retired from MMA. He lost a TON of weight/muscle and physical ability during his illness. He probably shouldn't have come back when he did, but he's a competitor so he did. He's a decent, down to earth man that has made a living being the bad guy. Spend some time with the man outside of him being a professional bad guy and I think it would be much harder for folks to "hate" him.

Kurt Angle brought up the same point Chael did about Brock. There's a cool story about Brock and Big Show doing to wrestling sparring for fun. In between "rounds" Kurt tapped Show and asked to let him go in while Lesnars back was turned. Lesnar refused to roll around with Kurt prior to this, dimissing Angle's talent because of their size difference. Apparently Lesnar asked if Angle was sure he wanted to do this. Story goes that in the end Angle out classed him in technique while holding his own pretty well. But Angle said that Lesnar is very good, and what he lacks in technique he makes up for by knowing how to use his size.

In a fight it doesn't matter if your opponent are bigger or stronger than you, the only thing that important that you have to got the willing to kill your opponent, like not just to fight, the desire to kill, you have to have hate what you fight, that's is the only thing that make you stronger than your opponent, not by their size, let your inner demon free, let go of all the goodness inside you, dont hold back anything, you in a fight that will change your life, your future, so dont hold back, destroy your opponent, let them know fear, show them you more than just a man.

Brock is also one of the few 290+ guys on earth along with WSM mariusz pudzianowski that can run really fast for their sizes. Fun fact: Both are polish descents.

Overeem should be ashamed to brag about beating Brock because Brock had diverticulitis. Overeem apparently knew it and kicked Brock directly in the affected area. No human could withstand that. Of course this kind of a win is nothing to brag about, but Overeem does not have the intelligence to understand.
