Yeah, they're striking for better work conditions, like being able to work on a show long-term, not just a couple of months. I'm all for it, it would improve the quality of the shows. The good shows out there are those that have long-term staff. Being allowed to love and enjoy what you do is important for creative professions. When the creators enjoy their work, the audience enjoys it, too 🙂

Gizmo detainee says DeSantis was present during a session, and Ron's response is - "how would they know me"..not that's not true or I wasn't there? Scary.

If you are being tortured, don't you think your senses are heightened due to the stress? Wouldn't you be more likely to remember details of such an event? Faces of your abusers? But DeSantis doesn't remember them. To him, it was just another faceless torture victim. O.O

Could you remember a US military officer from 2006? Well, if he was present while you're being tortured, you might say, "Oh, yeah. That guy."

"How would he know it was me?" I dunno, my dude. It's almost as if being tortured leaves a permanent imprint on one's mind; as they wake up in the middle of the night screaming, after going through those moments again and again, thanks to a little-known thing we call "PTSD".

The writing on this episode was off the charts! My goodness. Every line was hilarious; every burn stung. And of course, Colbert's delivery really sells it. The physical comedy with the bees was priceless. The timing on every zinger was perfect.

"Low wattage" might be the most British way possible to say "dim." I absolutely love it. Cheers, Britain.

Why (just) Carlson, then? Dominion stood a very good chance of getting double the payout, PLUS the country seeing fox staff finally under oath. If you had that level of bargaining chip you could easily demand more staff go instead.

Nice work, Stephen. I am hopeful that the WGA strike is settled sooner rather than later. Since there are a lot of people in TV and movies affected by the strike who aren't writers. That said, I hope that the WGA gets what their asking for since they are receiving far less ad revenue these days since so many are watching ad-free streaming channels like Netflix and Hulu instead of broadcast and cable TV. I think both sides need to give a little, but I'm on the writer's side.

Exactly. Isn't that how PTSD works? The event is so traumatic that details get cemented into your brain, and come back in full color when triggered by a sound or maybe even seeing the face of an officer from the prison. If I've got it wrong, please let me know. Anyway, I don't even need the prison info. The book bans and the stunt with the Advanced Placement African American history curriculum....that's enough for me. DeSantis is...I can't even think of a word for this guy.

the hilarious thing about DeSantis comment is that prisoners and detainees spend hours and hours looking at each other...then someone walks in. If DeSantis was an Officer, chances are he was in a different uniform than the other prison guards and they would have shown him deference as an Officer. DeSantis may have looked at the prisoners like they were a dime a dozen...but to those prisoners, there was only ONE him. He also didn't deny being present, just argued with the person asking the question. Sounds like a guilty conscious to me...

I think it says something about Fox when people who watch only that channel don't even know after a week goes by that he was fired. My mom. She thought I was lying to her. I had to prove it. and yet he is more popular then Stephen Colbert or Jimmy Kimmel ( like 20X times more popular). Is tucker really a racist? i don't know...i watched his shows and i feel more that he is an angry guy with a lot of issues but racism is not one of them. And by the way, i think that Americans are racist by definition using words like Afro American , black community, black life matter, black campus and stuff like that . Racism goes both ways and yet i never seen news about black people "attacking " white people for being white. You are AMERICAN if you are born in USA , you are not afro american ( none of your parents are from Africa) or latino, or whatever.. things are that simple
