I have a pair of those bed stiffeners, they also have some holes you can use as anchor points for straps, great product

Do you need stiffners if you just use the bed for hauling?

The bed stiffeners really help with off-roading and or putting weight on the bedsides with a bed rack or other equipment. If you are hauling, they're really nice to have them in there when you want to tie stuff down or support the bed when you are using the t slot rails.

Love Toyota but man, they should do a better job on bed frame rigidity. Also why is that frame so narrow?
