If one has to guage Suchitra Sen's beauty, glamour, acting talents I would recommend one to see her in action in the Bengali film " Harano Sur" as a sample. Then one would come to know what a winning combination of beauty, glamour and acting is. I wonder why this film was not sent for nomination for Oscar awards.

Suchitra Sen (1931-2014) was an actress who worked in Hindi and Bengali cinema. The movies in which she was paired opposite Uttam Kumar became classic hits..She was actively involved in films from 1952 to 1979 .Hindi films such as Devdas, Bambai Ka Babu,Sarhad ,Mamta and Aandhi were hits. She was very choosy while selecting films. She was compared to Hollywood star Greta Garbo. She was certainly a great actress.

Hard Luck of Indian Cinema and Hollywood that such a Talented and Educated Heroine has to remain in GOOM-NAAMI and very aloof life!!!!!! Her Two movies in HINDI are OUTSTANDING......MAMTA AANDHI........We love her ...respect her.....honour her.....missed her....jsk SD USA..
