I think the Orville is his best work and the best "star trek" in decades. I also think the Ted series is right behind the Orville in quality. It's less reliant on his usual cut away mess and feels way more natural with writing jokes around the situation. (Wild for a "sitcom" right? Lol)

I thought Ted 2 was a dumpster fire! But for context by the time I was a senior I was completely over family guy and couldn't stand it anymore. Then comes along Ted at the end of my senior year and redeemed Seth McFarlane for me. Then a million ways to die in the west and Ted 2 dropped. Couldn't stand them, dude just did family guy on a big screen. But then the bastard dropped the Orville and won me over again, and now the ted series! So I think I like mature Seth more and when his jokes are organic and don't rely on cutaways and pop culture as much.
