Something I just wanna add: while the 2nd movie is undoubtly better, more epic and hyped, I have always had a soft spot for the 1st movie especially thanks to how they focused on Sonic's development as a character. You can actually feel so much of his struggles, emotions, frustration, and even desperation. I was very emotional watching him throughout the movie. This is such a fresh experience after what we've known of Sonic as he is usually potrayed in the games.

As a 90s kid, I'm really glad this character has succeeded in getting a good film series for himself 😊

This review contains spoilers for Sonic the Hedgehog. Recent trailers for “Sonic the Hedgehog” include a fun scene with Sonic playing baseball by himself. The character moves so quickly that he can mimic plays by an entire nine-player baseball roster. It’s a perfect scene for a kids movie, showcasing the blue blur’s attitude and Flash-like powers. But in the context of the film, which comes out Thursday night, the scene is surprisingly moving. The thing that stops Sonic in his tracks is the sudden, distressing realization that he is utterly, hopelessly and painfully alone. Against all preconceptions, “Sonic the Hedgehog” is a sharp and very human tale about loneliness, and the limits of what you can accomplish alone. Sonic is from another planet, and he’s lived, in hiding, in a Montana suburb for 10 years. His joy is sustained through comic books and toys, but he longs for friendship.

The only reason I didn’t mind the wedding sub plot was because it actually made sense and wasn’t necessarily that predictable the way it played out overall great video and definitely can’t wait for the 3rd movie

I can hardly wait for the third exciting and interesting movie of Sonic the Hedgehog as much as I wish the great old times of seeing him, his friends, and others in 3D action game were revived.

Emotional gravity plus character depth. This is the most the characters have been dynamic in years since the Western portrayal fell on the wayside.

I think that it was kind of okay that songs from the games didn't get put into Sonic 1 & 2 because in those movies Paramount was adapting elements from the classic Sonic games which because of technical limitations to the console that they were made for, didn't have any lyric filled songs in them. I think that if any were put into those 2 movies it would possibly be happening too soon and that they should wait until they could start adapting any of the 3D Sonic games that those songs were officially written for, and include those songs into those movies. So good that they waited until this upcoming third movie which will have elements from Sonic Adventure 2 adapted into it to make a deal with Crush 40 to get the rights to that game's banger theme song: Live and learn. Confirming that the most highly wanted song for that movie will legally be included into Sonic 3.( the video game adaption movie that that song 100% should be playing during the climax of.) I theatrically watched both Sonic movies with my parents and enjoyed those movies, and I've planned to watch Sonic 3 twice in a theater because of how hyped I am for it, and because I think that it could likely become the best one!

Agree. I love the sonic the hedgehog movies. They are the best thing that came to the sonic the hedgehog franchise, I saw sonic movie 1 not in theaters but at home in (2020) and I enjoyed it, I saw sonic movie 2 at home as well in (2022) and that's my favorite nickelodeon movie of all time in history. And I can't wait to see the third sonic movie, and I hopefully, I'll get to see it in theaters in December this year, and I will see it in Orlando Florida on IMAX, and I can't wait to see not only shadow, but Amy and Rouge as well if they are confirmed. So, good video.

I actually disagree with your issues with the wedding subplot. mean it’s really only four scenes and gives them a way to introduce GUN being that it was all a setup
