I just purchased a 2019 Shelby GT350 Cobra 🐍 I have had about a week now and it’s totally awesome 🤩! It was worth the price of admission which wasn’t too expensive but still beats to new 2024’s Eco boost GT’s Regular GT’s Premium GT’s In Power and Torque in my opinion. The Dark Horse 🐎 Mustang was nice but I think they are overpriced with the extra premium tac on the original manufacture price. The sticker price by the dealerships in my neck of the woods has add a premium (extra charge) between $20,000 to $30,000 more to the suggested manufacturer price, which is totally outrageous that’s means your paying around $78,000-$89500 right off the bat ! I remember all this extra Premium charge started around with COVID-19 and has not gone totally away yet. Still, I decided to get my hands on Shelby GT350 Cobra 🐍because to me it was a great value and better options for my hard earned money ! Great Review and Excellent Information that you provided. I like to add the 2019-2020 model years would be the best option to buy since most of the issues were updated, solved, upgraded, and fixed by Ford Performance before the GT 350 went out of production.

@@jerrod9009 -The Dealership wanted $64,000 but I talked them roughly down to $58,000 but I had a trade in which the dealership paid basically off what I had left on my old car and gave me the difference. I used the difference to pay down on Shelby, GT 350 Cobra, which made it at $45,800 financed out the door through my bank, which I got a great rate at 5.39% Not shabby for a vehicle that goes between $60,000 - $70,000 used depending on the year model in my neck of the woods. Please understand that my credit score was very high or great and that’s why I was able to finance through my bank compared to financing through a dealerships.

I agree with you that the GT350 is unique in looks and sound from the other Mustang of this era. Well it certainly sounds different but the best V8 I ever heard...The original GT350 with side exit exhaust comes to mind, but my favorite is a 1968 Super Stock Hemi Dart...

Great car, I've been considering one of these or an E92 M3 or maybe a G80 M3 after my 440i. To my ears the E92 sounds better but it's not nearly as capable, the G80 is an amazing daily, fast & luxurious + it can still get a manual. Everything else in the price range in my opinion isn't even worth considering, F80 is numb & sounds awful, Infiniti is dead on arrival & the Supra is too small.

Find a 2019 or 2020 if you can. They started putting the Gen 2's in em in 19. I have a 2019 Gen 2 350R with 49,000mi on it. I beat the sht out of that car and have pretty much zero oil consumption between oil changes. Ford swapped out a ton of Gen 1 engines under warranty on the 16 thru 18 models too if you find one that's been swapped it was probably done at the dealer. These cars have a bad reputation because alot of them were originally sold to the kind of people who would never think of checking their oil between changes. You know, NOT car guys. The early engines had consumption issues and people ragging on em while they were low on oil is what destroyed most of em. Find you a Gen 2. You'll know one by just opening the hood. All of em have a badge with the engine builders signature on it, they were all hand assembled, the Gen 1 will have 2 signatures and the Gen 2's have only one. If you find one go for it man you won't regret it. They're super reliable. You can beat the crap out of em all day long. You'll immediately feel the difference from the GT's. Also just preference, but switch over to Amsoil 5w50 oil. Not gonna lie it's a little expensive but I had several GT350 owners recommend it and have been using it since the 2nd oil change. Good stuff. You can get a kit with the oil and filter for $140-$160 (they have 10 quart oil pans) and do it yourself. You have to order it or get it somewhere like Summit racing you'll never find it at the auto parts store but totally worth the cost and pain in the butt to get it.

Also, didn't mention how the Voodoo is an imbalanced engine. An FPC with CPC characteristics...which makes the engine glow up. Ford didn't want it to sound like a Ferrari (like GM's LT5 does), and wanted that V8 tone. The Voodoo was on the verge of being scrapped, but with enough engineers wanted a toy to play with Ford executives approved it. Even Ford Racing had to swap out the FPC since it was too unreliable and costly to keep fixing on their cars.
