Yeah her eyes are bigger once she’s rescued. If we look at mommy long legs, you’ll see her eyes change when she gets more violent. They are more realistic looking when she’s not violent, but when she turns violent her eyes go black. I saw a video saying that the change in the eyes could represent the change in personality, like a switch in their brain. Maybe all the toys have a dual personality and it is visually represented through their eyes.

@@miajimenez9409 I thought the exact same thing other than the dual personality which would be interesting like a side of the toy and a side of the human but along the line of the eyes blackness I noticed that huggy doesn’t seem to have the ability or intelligence to communicate which could be why his eyes are always black unlike mummy and poppy who have enough reason to be able to talk therefore making them look a lot more human until a switch is flipped or they can’t hold back the darkness

I just realised- if Elliot Ludwig’s daughter died (or another family member) he could’ve put their heart in Kissy Missy thus making her friendly

There is a lot of hidden clues that seem to indicate that Poppy is the real antagonist of the story, and that the prototype is actually somewhat benevolent. It would actually make some thematic sense : the toys meant to look playfull and sweet are bloodthirsty monsters, so maybe the most creepy looking of the toys is somewhat friendly ? As of now, we only know that it attacked scientist and security guards of the facility, not children or regular employees of the toy factory. The prototype main defining trait is that it is able to repurpose and assimilate things, living or not, around it. Maybe all the messages we got that implied that the orphans and missing employees of the facility are still alive are actually made by it. Maybe it "repurposed" and "assimilated" them because it knew that, in an inescapable industrial maze roamed by murderous toys and with no sustainable food sources, doing so was the only way to keep them "alive". "The prototype saved us". Maybe the prototype was the result of the fusion of multiple human minds, which would explain its high intelligence and huge skillset, and why it seem resentfull toward the enactor of the experiment. The minds that are included in it might have preserved some semblance of their past selves. That would also explain why it decided to integrate Mommy Long Leg to itself : while she showed some (probably deserved) hatred toward the protagonist, she was always benevolent toward the children that are now a huge part of the prototype. She didn't want to be part of it because she didn't know what it was, but being integrated to the prototype will allow MLL to finaly reunite with most of the children she lost in the past, which is a fitting end for her. As of now, this is the only toy we saw being assimilated to it, maybe MLL was the only toy that deserved such a fate. Finaly maybe Kissy Missy hasn't gone feral yet because she is working with the prototype, which allowed her to keep contact with some children. All of what you read above is a theory I just imagined this morning, so it might have a lot of holes here and there. We'll see how accurate I was in future chapters :).

Ik im a year late but everything you said was pretty spot on just the only thing I feel is off is when the toys went on a killing spree poppy mentioned that they killed everyone even the innocent ones they also showed the tape of how everyone was slaughtered no one was left alive and I believe at the time of the massacre there was no child left just the workers

well given by what we know from chapter 3, the hour of joy also included child victims and it is indicated that the children were killed. If you are to bring up ollie, remember that the hour of joy and the company closure occurred 10+ years prior to chapter 1; given that the orphans were between 5-12 years old which can be found in documents scattered in all maps; Ollie would actually be a teenager or young adult by now but his voice sounds like he is still a young child, which can only mean one thing that Ollie isn't human but rather is another toy. It is unknown why Kissy Missy has maintained a level of conscience but I believe she didn't actually participate in the hour of joy for a unknown reason; I'd like to compare her to Nezuko from Demon Slayer, Nezuko had a level of conscience but wasn't ready to gain her sense of self because she had something she wanted to achieve, the same can be said about kissy.

I have a very strong theory that the Prototype was following us all throughout chapter 2 (judging by the sounds you'd hear while walking through some hallways or vents) and the moment we dealt with MLL, it saw an opportunity to scavenge the body. Not only that, but it also reappeared after Poppy changed the direction of the train. So, it seems to want us alive...at least for now.

Those sounds are supposed to be audio files of Mommy killing the mini Huggies and Bunzo. You can hear them while in the vents because that's right after you complete the challenges unharmed, and mommy takes out her anger in Bunzo and hangs him in the games section, and does the same with the Huggies and traps them in webs after killing them.

Theory: I don’t think that Huggy is bad. The the scientist said, “Experiment 1170, Huggy Wuggy, is very intelligent and is at maximum obedience.” This means that Huggy Wuggy was smart, and was a good listener. I mean, why didn’t he kill us at the start? He was right there, in fact, he also helped us by giving us the key. “Then, why did he try to kill us?” You ask. Well, I think that he saw you as a “threat” because you where going into a restricted zone. So, like the scientist told him to, they told him to kill anyone who goes back there.

But if he didn't want us there, why give us the keys in the first place ? I think, this guy is trying to bend the rules and intentionally gave us access to the area and therefore garnered permission to devour our body if he so pleases.

It's amazing storytelling how Elliot Ludwig (presumably Prototype) and Mary Payne (Mommy Longlegs), despite the horrors of the factory and ML's terrifying demeanor, are made to be such tragic figures and "anti-villains." All those nightmarish events began with Elliot's pain from losing his daughter, and Mary seems to have genuinely cared for the kids both as herself and ML. Until the course of events and the experiments turned them into monsters.

I think it’s fairly obvious that Ludwig is the Prototype itself. He didn’t “die” necessarily, he just changed. It mirrors FNAF pretty well; dead daughter turned into a toy/animatronic, inventor turns himself into a monster after trying to save his dead child, becoming the main bad guy, etc.

Henry's daugther, Charlotte, was Willian's first victim. Her soul was transfered into the Puppet. Somenthing similar happened to Elizabeth, but she wasn't killed by anyone (human), she just got too close to Circus Baby and so was captured and sliced in half. I beliave she died before Willian did.

the prototype is using Poppy as his puppet, take a look at Poppy's eyes. Something happened while the character was in the game station, and it's not just her eyes. Just listen to some of her dialogue. when set from the case, she speaks bubbly and sincerity. then listen to her after getting her of the web, it's more flat, almost like a robot's voice. what ever the prototype is, it's one that all these toys fear

If anyone remembers, one of the tapes described how the prototype was given an alarm clock and dismantled it to create a laser to aid its escape attempt. When Poppy is cut off while on the train, you hear an alarm clock buzzing AND the sound from the end of Ludwig’s tape. I think that the prototype found Poppy but it’s only means of communication at the moment is via the alarm clock’s speaker

some people have theorised that the “sudden family loss” was Eliot’s wife, but it cant be, he was divorced, none the less i agree with him, poppy is possibly Eliot’s resurrected daughter, inside poppy, she has a childlike expression and voice, she moves around like one too, i also think poppy is a child because poppy doesn’t act like the other experiments, she acts sane, adults, like the ones i theorise are in the others, are less innocent than children so the have more probability to go insane after a while of being stuck for years in a factory. Mommy also had a child-like expression, but her voice is adult like, and she has some sense of responsibility, posters also show that she worked in the factory so she knows her way around, i dont have a theory on how poppy knows her way around because she was locked in her case for so long. Mommy is more friendly to children because the scientists experimented on her, they harmed the children she most dearly loved for their sweet personality so she probably mistakenly took us for harmful scientists here to give her then take away more of her children, she had a bad impression on adults in general. That is why she is most aggressive towards us. The prototype is smart, it knows how to scare, and make itself known to us, i have no theory on him/? Yet.

Poppy came out before the family death, she can't possibly be his daughter

i wouldnt say that Experiment 1006 is incompleted being only an arm, since the motion it moves in when grabbing the remains of Mommy Long Legs is rather smooth as if there is more to it than just an upper and lower arm. the logs we have seen may just be outdated logs, and the image of the prototype (the upper arm, lower arm, and hand) being just the progress since that log. when revealed later on in Poppy Playtime, i think there will be at least a humanoid-like body figure Edit: also, when we die and we see the logs... are we being resurrected from the 'mixture', our are we just being reset like an ordinary death in a game? guess we'll find out..

A little theory on Ludwig’s motivation: the tape claims he was divorced but a family man and later faced a family tragedy. What if he had a child and after he was divorced, got not a lot of custody of said child. Eventually this child passed tragically and this is where the story (if this is the case) could draw some inspiration from spookys jump scare mansion. He would’ve started this toy factory to create new toys to become vessels for the soul of his dead child and created the game station as a first resort to experimenting on souls of children and eventually even adult workers (possibly experimenting using the children as vessels as well). Eventually poppy was created as a perfect model for a vessel, so Ludwig could have a conversation with his daughter. I believe they succeeded which is why poppy appears to know more than the rest of the other toys in the factory. Also the letter at the beginning of the game has multiple grammar mistakes which could be written by an employee already experimented on or written by a child that was also experimented on. If it was a child this would explain the grammatical mistakes and if it was an adult worker then it would seem as though their minds are so altered that their minds are regressing. Another small theory is that I believe the reason mommy long legs’ cutouts audio pieces are all broken and worn out is because hers was in the area full of kids that loved her so hers would’ve been played more often. Especially since she makes a remark about how much they loved her. Just a theory. EDIT: this is just another piece of information not having to do with my theory but I wanted to write it down somewhere. In the clip of the storage room with mommy long legs at the beginning of Chapter 2 (before the commercial) it appears in the far left bottom corner that there’s something that looks exactly like the prototypes claw.

Now I understand why Mommy Long Legs said "You'll make me part of him" before she died. She (Marie Payne) knew what Elliot Ludwig did to himself, and knew what his intentions were. She seemed to have remembered that fact in her final moments.

I JUST REALIZED SOMETHING! As time goes on, all of their pupils become bigger, showing they’re getting more angry and tempted to do violent acts. Such as when Huggy Wuggy was standing still, his pupils were normal sized, but when he’s chasing you, his pupils were bigger. Same with Mommy Long Legs

In one of the pages you can read it states that the children calm the living toys and the staff makes them aggressive. So in theory the eye changes and aggression is due to that because you also used to work there.

"Anger, and hate." All of the living toys have anger and hate towards the workers. Because they try to kill you is because they recognize you like one of the workers, though of course , if you've played the game yourself, or watched a gameplay, you would have probably noticed that Kissy Missy dose not try to kill you. I think the reason Kissy Missy doesn't try to kill you is because because she dose not recognize you as a worker. In this video he says that Elliot try's to put his daughters soul into Poppy, well that's basically what they do to the rest of the toys. I feel that Elliot developed I dark passion for putting peoples souls into the toys. His passion grew enough to the point where he was reckless enough to put children's souls into the toys. Perhaps The Prototype was not just killing for pleaser, nor anger... what if The Prototype was trying to prevent anymore souls being trapped. His theory is that Elliot perhaps tried to put either, his own, or his daughters. soul into The Prototype...maybe it Parshley worked...🤔🤨 *Rereading it and being super confused. Lol*😂😅

For everyone talking about the eyes of the dolls: This happens in humans too. Arousal and stress cause pupillary dilation. This includes things that cause “fight or flight”. Now with that I want to say I don’t think the eyes represent personality changes, but are representative of the current mood of the subjects. It’s been made clear pretty much every experiment is emotionally unstable and dangerous. I guess my point is that pretty much everything there is about as stable as somebody who had a lobotomy, and the eyes probably aren’t as significant as people are making it out to be.

Given the timeline of events provided on the official website, it's perhaps a little more likely that Ludwig lost a young granddaughter, rather than a young daughter. Playtime Co. was founded in 1930, and his wife divorced him that same year, and the loss happened in the 60s; either he had an illegitimate child long after the fact, or any children he had with his ex-wife would have been in their 30s or older by then.

No actually I think it is his daughter. But she was an adult when she died, not a child. This can explain why she has a tendency to bring out darkness. Children's souls do not do that, as we've seen with the small toy experiments.

I am just watching this video without the audio in school and don’t know what’s happening, but I’m gonna make a quick presumption- Poppy is more then likely the reincarnation of the daughter after she possibly died. Although, it wasn’t really for the fact that her father was sad, but was just experimenting with what he has. Also, about the other theory with the pupils dilating, (which probably isn’t true and is just a detail) my theory is that Poppy is much much older then she looks, and maybe assuming the time zone might be somewhere around maybe around the 1990’s or early 2000, she is probably about 60 almost, which could probably mean she’s very stressed out and more then likely sexually frustrated. (60 years in an abandoned toy manufacturing facility will do bad things to you)

Adult or youth, a parent losing a child before they die themselves can be a very traumatic experience. Not saying it can't be a grandchild who died, but I don't see why a person's child regardless of their age dying before their parent would be in anyway less tragic. Just some food for thought!

Either the game makers just portrayed her poorly if she is one or she is definitely an adult. She comes off way to mature and way too knowledgeable of things going on in the factory. Only other thing that could explain it is if Poppy was allowed to be free for quite some time before being locked up.

Did anyone else recognize the mystery noise at 14:40 as the buzz of a digital alarm clock? My grandma had one that sounded exactly like that. This digital alarm clock has been linked to the Prototype as well as Ludwig via audiotape. 'Built a laser pointer out of the alarm clock and disabled the cameras with it.' If the Prototype is Ludwig he'd be a genius at using and repurposing available materials.

One thing to point out, is that in Chapter 1, we only see the hand when the tape is played, but in Chapter 2, we see the arm connected to the hand. Each chapter is revealing parts of The Prototypes body, and the final chapter could reveal what it looks like?

I'm sort've amazed that you didn't mention how the eyes of Mommy Long Legs lose all their color, going completely black when she becomes a monster; she's consumed by the darkness, and is no longer willing to resist the urge to kill. This adds a level of credence to the theory, especially with how much darker Poppy's eyes got by the end of the chapter.

​@@xerowolfie Going frame-by-frame, it's actually hard to make out the moment where we can determine if it's the pupils dilating, or the outer-ring of her eyes going black. It looks instantaneous, like the game just threw a whole new face on Mommy's model. Still, for the purpose of the theory, with regards to the darkening of the eyes, it's certainly easier to swim with the current; the idea that Mommy's eyes changed as a result of her "releasing all inhibitions and letting her killing tendencies take hold". Wouldn't be surprised to see Poppy kill at some point.

11:41 You can hear Ludwig screaming in the background as the tape is playing. This could indicate that he was in a room with one of the toys being attacked. But the presence of the prototype could mean that his arm had sentience and could navigate around without a brain, but considering that the only humane part of the prototype are the arm bones, Ludwig's arm could have gotten eaten, yet somehow the bones reached it. But, it is clear Ludwig allowed this anomaly to form because the employees knew it and Ludwig could know the employees would notice his agonizing death. I'm sorry if my theory may be wrong I don't know everything about how it was formed Mmmmm butterfingers

I think it was more human than all the others, because the scientist mentioned in the tape that he was in a room with a digital alarm clock. 1006 sounded like he might have had a room with a bed and other such things humans use, but he was still imprisoned, monitored and experimented on.

Exactly what I was thinking! It really sounded like The Prototype had a proper human-like room. I hope to god he isn’t just that terrifying claw, searching for ways to make a full body- but I hope he’s more threatening than the other toys we’ve seen so far, more so than even Huggy Wuggy himself. I’m prepared to be scared

Originally, I thought that the white part of the "prototype's" arms were just plastic tubing etc. But after seeing it at new angles in this video, its definitely human bones. Or at least something made to replicate them. Specifically the Radius and Ulna (forearm bones). I can tell because of how one bone comes to a "head" and the other to some of "process" (look at the different shape of the tips of the bones, they're like this because they 're supposed to interlock together in the body). They greatly resemble the bones I worked with in previous anatomy classes, however, they are contorted into an unnatural position. The arches of the bones look like this " ( ) " in the body, but these looks like this " ) ( ". So the bones are twisted or placed backwards.

They're probably from the employee that got trapped in the experiment room with the prototype! As the theory says, it may be trying to put together as much body parts and toy parts as possible to gain a proper body I think that the backwards position of the bones comes from the prototype poor knowledge of how a human body works

3:41 Weird how Elliot Ludwig's face is blurred out in all these scenes. In Chapter 1 the man telling us about Poppy in the commercial might have been Elliot but it doesn't make sense to show his face in Chapter 1 and blur it out in Chapter 2...

I would like to point out the fact that while she is being grinded, we can clearly hear mommy long legs say "he'll make me part of him" probably referring to the prototype. This shows that mommy long legs and possibly some of the other monsters know it is roaming the halls, and that it supposedly is taking parts of dead toys and building it's self, I know it doesn't add much to any sort of discussion but I wanted to point it out

But those monsters we have experienced on the game on poppy play game chapter 2, mommy long legacy has gotten mad at them for not succeeding on killing the player, so she killed the monsters on those games we had to play, like the mini uh, I forgot what they're called, the pug Caterpillar, and that- I dunno. Since those monsters havent killed the player mommy long legs was getting angry each time they diddnt kill the player through the game. And you can technically hear her killing them after you escape them through the game, even with the other ones

Speaking of the letter that brought the player back, what if it was the prototype who wrote the letter to drag us back? As stated, this experiment is intelligent, so it could obviously know how to write and it could have also known about the workers above aside from those in the lab. So the hand could have brought us back to finish the job, but we ended up freeing poppy during this chase.

I've been thinking that the protag is actually the researcher who said he would be back. Maybe he knew the only way to find out what happened and/or stop the prototype was to sneak into the factory as a toy. Maybe when you get turned into a toy you're human memories get wiped, so he sent himself the letter and tape to remind himself what he was supposed to be doing.

I was thinking the same, but also with other characters. I have three theories: 1. Poppy wrote the letter. Idk why and how, that's just my theory 2. Mommy wrote the letter because she wanted us to come back so she can kill us so the Prototype doesn't take her body and puts it in his 3. Kissy wrote the letter so that we could come and help her to get staff and kids that are alive out Idk, this is just my theory.

You should check out Poppy's beta speech. She mentions that she is the cause of terrible things that happen, being able to exist as a doll. She also mentions that the player can fix everything, and they should start looking into playcare. Wich kind of goes along with the theory: being able to exist as a doll -> she wasn't one before, Terrible things have happen because of this -> the experiments made after Poppy was partially successful.

I will say I don't think Poppy is violent or entirely evil as you seem to be implying. I think she is genuinely concerned about the horrible things that happened here but is unable to do anything herself as a doll. So while it is evil taking control of the player for her own needs she isn't necessarily bad

whenever mommy is being grinded we hear her say "He'll make me part of him!" which is referring to the prototype and as we know, she was correct he was hiding in the shadows waiting for her limbs to fall, so he could grab her and use her as some kind of a "repair tool". Which is technically reenforcing your theory of the prototype .

1) I think the arm is more likely to be from the employee casualty you hear about in the Chapter 2 tape. 2) I still reckon something has been created by the Prototype for mind control - keep in mind he disassembled an alarm clock in his escape attempt, which is what you hear when Poppy is cut off.

Ikr the whole "😱omfg😱 the bone is the catalyst for the human soul" is dumb af. It makes more sense the prototype used the employee as just another accessory.

I have a theory myself. If Poppy was protected from darkness while she was in a case, does that mean that Kissy Missy, who was friendly was opened from something like the case too? And further, does that mean that someone opened her and is pulling strings to help us, someone like experiment 1006. And does it mean that Kissy Missy will turn evil in chapter three? it could be possible that kissy missy could turn evil at some point. I mean look at huggy wuggy in chapter 1 he was just standing like a statue and somehow coincidentally had the key that the player needs in his hand. He helped for that short while to help the player progress and then turned evil later on. so it could be the same with kissy missy. she helps the player to progress for that moment and then goes for the kill later on

Really enjoy these playthroughs and explanation videos of Poppy. Hope everyone's doing well tonight. You're a huge inspiration to me and my lil horror channel 🤍

One question I feel needs to be asked is how much has the prototype built itself up. That single arm was quite large on it's own and it likely took the parts of hundreds of other toys and people. By this point we know that Huggy Wuggy and Mommy long legs have been taken due to both having been killed. What's more there is a chance that the prototype has seen fit to take parts from the people its killed. By this point, it is potentially a monster larger than any other we have seen so far. Guess we will just have to wait and see. P.S. Kissy Missy is also wandering the factory but doesn't seem hostile to you at all. Why was she able to just help you out and walk away when no one else was?

The grey rings around Poppy's eyes grew. Take a look at her at the beginning of Ch2 and the end of Ch2. I believe that this shows how much the evil has taken from her

In the pages you can read it states that the children calm the living toys and the staff makes them aggressive. So in theory the eye changes and aggression is due to that because you also used to work there.

Personally, I think the claw isn't really a natural part of Experiment 1006, but rather something that he has built overtime as an extension of himself. The log in Chapter 2 states that 1006 managed to fool the people monitoring it into thinking he had escaped by hiding in one of the camera's blind spots, and I can't imagine that those would be particularly big, right? So 1006 is probably not that big on his own, maybe not even that much bigger than Poppy. It doesn't make sense that there would be blind spots in the room where they're monitoring a captive creature to begin with since they apparently freaked out big time over the fact that he had spent 28 seconds unmonitored, so the blind spot must've been a small oversight.

The problem there is that the prototype’s arm as seen in the tapes (presumably from the time the factory was active) and when we see it in person (now) are identical. The design changing just wouldn’t make sense.

@@Fluffkitscripts That's doesn't necessarily disprove the idea that the mechanical hand is an extension 1006 has built rather than an actual part of his body. We know he disassembled his alarm clock and used its battery "along with several other components" to create a laser pointer, so he definitely had access to some things that could've been used to create the arm. Besides that, it is also worth noting that this arm is so far the only mechanical bodypart we've seen related to any experiment. Every other toy we've seen have been made out of organic material, or at least it has seemed so. While it may just be because this is a "prototype" and thus was made quite early on during development, even the experiments that preceeded 1006 dealt mainly with organic materials, not with technology.

I agree with everything here... except saying that Prototype is about the same size as Poppy. I think it's as big as a man, since A) it was given a room, with an alarm clock and B) it was able to kill the person who went into the room to check on them. I don't see a thing as big as Poppy killing an adult. Something bigger maybe, but the claw being a part of the creature it's added on after the fact, it makes sense.

It is weird that Playtime's experiment (minus the rat) are all based on toys but Prototype doesn't look like one. I'm guessing that Prototype are made out of someone not in the Playtime, as in someone from Warrenbach Construction.

I'm not seeing anyone talking about it, but I want to talk about WHY the prototype even has an alarm clock in his cell? Why would they give it a way to not only tell time but to wake itself up from sleep? Plus how I suspect Poppy gets attacked by the Prototype at the end of chapter two because of the alarm clock sound interrupting her.

If the prototype really is Elliot Ludwig , then I think he would get special treatment. I'd imagine they'd give him basic things like a clock, a bed, or things to read just to make him comfortable and for the sake of his mental health. I don't think the scientists would put their beloved founder in an empty concrete cell. Also, the fact that the scientists didn't destroy exp1006 after he murdered someone kinda shows they are giving him special treatment.

@@mongoose9851 not exactly true because you can see a file in game that says mummy was becoming more and more unmanageable with her hostile behaviour towards staff and they moved her into conditioning to run the game station. So even when other experiments shown hostile and dangerous behaviour they kept them around and did what they could to suppress them.

u actually find that they did a pretty good job with the prototype thus far, they tell us very little about it, but just enough for it to be interesting and engaging, all of us wonder what he is, and what role he will play later, or what he even looks like, but we do know it's intelligent and dangerous, and they even showed his one hand, but we don't know what it connects to in his full body, or if it's his oly hand. It's mistery is well executed, and i look forward to seeing more about it

The Prototype was clearly inspired by SCP, with the containment procedures and possibility for an end-of-world event (since it supposedly can’t be suppressed) upon its escape.

Did anyone notice poppy's eyes got darker from one of the first clips where she's trying to help us, to the one where the player frees her from the web? like the darkness in her eyes were bigger.

As far as the noticable changes to poppy's eyes, in one of the pages you find can read it states that the children calm the living toys and the staff makes them aggressive. So in theory the eye changes and aggression is due to that because you also used to work there.

It was also said in chapter 3 that the employee’s abused the toys and that caused them to act out, the abuse caused the prototype to be disobedient and violent because thats all it ever knew was abuse.

I like this explanation of the prototype I was thinking of a big ones I first watched it, but because it didn’t make sense to me when I first watched it but now it makes a lot of sense. I love this video! Your channel is the best! Can you do a video on project play time please?

@@CUTESWON Or maybe at some point during the 3rd chapter, some smaller toy variant attempts to go full f***ing beast mode on Poppy, but she manages to overpower that toy by using her shoeware to stomp on his left side (in other words, stomping on its heart). She'd then take a few teaspoons of the poppy fluid, which give a hint that taking a few hits of the opium keeps an experiment sane. Edit: Kinda like medication to stabilize you from doing anything reckless or to control your aggression, discipline your mind type of stuff, knowhutimean?

That scheming tone in her voice while on the train gave me the creeps.

My personal theory about the Prototype is that they made it as a completely mechanical arm, but cut it in pieces once it became dangerous. It then killed an employee and replaced the missing arm piece with their bones. It also could’ve started as a complete humanoid robot, but only been left as an arm.

I've always thought those messages you get after you die were messages from Poppy, basically asking you to "get up" or to not "give up" even the message "I have plans for you" seems to fit into that idea, but now that you mentioned the prototype it does make a make bigger sense that they come from him, probably using us (the main character) to collect pieces of other intelligent toys that would otherwise hide from him !

I’ll be real, I still think Stella is Poppy. Her willingness to become a toy made her the perfect doll. She wants to restore the factory so they can make toys again. That’s why she says you’re perfect.. to restore and take back the factory from the rouge toys. But that’s just what I think! Your theories are always a delight to watch and listen to.

I disagree, Stella was around running things like the Game Station while Poppy was locked in the case. And we know that Poppy was advertised as "the worlds first truly intelligent doll," meaning that she had already been a successful experiment. I don't believe there is any possible way that Stella could be Poppy, but I suppose there might be some twist that could make it make sense.

It appears that the Prototype wants us alive so we can kill off the living toys for him to salvage. MLL said "He'll make me part of him" right before her horrific death and mere seconds later the Prototype arrived and dragged her lifeless torso into the darkness. It's likely he was watching us from the shadows and plans to salvage the other dead toys as well. It also is a good idea to point out how massive the Prototype's hand is. The hand was nearly half the size of MLL's body itself, meaning we can guess that this thing is colossal. It will likely be a final boss to face when the game is finished, using parts of all the living toys we've killed before.

@Toyix it could be that mommy long legs didn't want to reveal that she was nervous. Because in a dangerous factory like that looking scared or towering over so.ethimg constantly is going to get you killed.

Quick theory: when you see Eliot’s tape you will see his face blurred out. Now you did say Eliot’s daughter was poppy, so maybe the person who introduces poppy in the vintage poppy tape in the intro of cheater 1 is actually Eliot so we actually do know Eliot’s face

I’m not totally bought into Ludwig’s “family loss” being his daughter. The tape describes the loss as “unfortunate,” not “tragic,” or “heartbreaking,” or even “premature.” I think this was an interesting and intentional word choice.

Elliot just wanted his Daughter back. So he turned himself into a toy to see the experiments through. Instead he was forced the watched as the new owners turned his factory into a place of nightmares. So he got revenge, but who's to say his experiments are over. For all we know he could still be trying to bring his daughter. It is a possibility.

I agree but I also disagree he wanted to come back to see if he could maybe watch and see what will happen with his theories and saw how they were turning his ideas into murder weapons. And I think that’s why he’s taking all their parts and killing the other toys. He knows they are evil and that just having kids around won’t make them kind and good. They will always have that evil and he needs to get rid of them. And I think that’s why poppy is still alive. He knew she was in the case and safe and was at peace. But then we let her out and know he knows. I think the noise when she gets captures is him finding her to take her back to the case.

Anyone else think that the Mommy long legs death was extremely brutal? OK maybe not extremely but it was still pretty brutal

The thing about poppy’s specifically too is that they symbolize remembrance of those who have passed but poppy’s (specifically the sap in their seeds) are also what is used to make the drug opioids which is a very strong and dangerous drug. If experimenting with it in this gel, this could place the toys in a drug hallucination or addiction like state. Also poppy being locked in the case reminds me of the actually doll that the Annabelle movies were based on as it is a rag doll that is locked in a similar glass case in a museum and is said to be demonic and yet used to be a toy for children but “ Annabelle”was apparently harming the children.

I think that the prototype is “him”. When mommy long legs says “make me part of him!!” Perhaps this means that when A living toy in factory dies, the prototype takes the dead body and uses it to upgrade the prototype. I also think this happened to huggy wuggy after the fall because in the chapter 2 trailer, at the start we see him being taken away, perhaps this is suggesting that the claw is using the dead toys to turn him into a more frightening monster.

Huggy wuggy is alive. One of the evidences are that there is fur on the wall when u collect the toy next to the water treatment. So i think what was dragged off was one of the moon huggy wuggies that were in the mini game, but that’s just my assumption.

@@renatus20058 the mini huggy wuggies have been killed by mommy in the minigame after we won, and there arent many gaint huggy wuggies with blue fur (from what we know), and the fur looks waaay longer than the one for the mini huggy wuggies thats why i assumed it is huggy wuggy not anyone else.

And that's why the title of the game is Poppy's Playtime because poppy is the mastermind all along🎉

I would imagine that the noise at the end of his biographical tape was simply the sound of a transmission cutting out, just like at the end of poppy’s. However, I think I noticed an alarm clock sound, which would be a drawback to how the prototype used an alarm clock to eventually disable a camera.

The thing I have is that if this massacre occurred ten years ago, why does the mangled toys’ blood still look so fresh? Is it a story element or is it just something overlooked by the developers

1006 is a like a cross of Lego technic and geomags/magformers. As a kid, I made hand shapes very similar to 1006 claw using magnetic balls and sticks. He has that Lego mindset of building anything from the tools available. When you get to his lair I expect to see figments of cars, buildings or people made out of toys and corpses.

not only is this thing aggresive, it made a lazer pointer out of a digital alarm clock, in a log, the guy said it made a lazer pointer to blind the security camera, and escaped his chamer in 28 seconds before the camera turned back on

Also the end when poppy becomes more dark definitely puts more weight in the theory that the prototype is her father. Shes working for him?? They needed a human to not only free her, but to complete the experiment to bring her and her father back to life so they can be a family again? So excited for the new chapter

I don't know why, but it seems like since the darkness takes hold the toys get a lot more smart and violent. I'm kind of wondering if trauma accelerates it. Maybe the toys revolted (I was also thinking the test for trying to cover up something and by killing the toys they were able to do that) and we're killed in the revolt, the prototype and the others (huggy/mommy/others) then killed the humans in the facility. My only backing for this is mommy doesn't attack other creatures, in fact she helps them. If the prototype were all about killing then shouldn't the Huggies, mommy, the bunny, and pugapiller be dead. They also seem to have a distain for humans. I'm wondering if the prototype waits until they aren't useful anymore and/or dead to take them. Hopefully that made sense.

I agree, however i also think the reason he leaves them alone is because he is still incredibly weak, maybe in future chapters when he grows stronger we might see him personally attacking us or the antagonist(‘s)

only thing tho mommy does kill the creatures out of anger after you win her games other than the pug. its confirmed shes killed them in the file names of the sounds after you win and you can see the toys from games dead in her webs afterwards. only no confirmation on the pug toy.. the tapes say they have to eat as well and theres other peices of dead toys throughout her webs

As long as the tape where Marcus talks to Elliot about a “Monster” seemingly walking around the facility ISN’T the prototype, then this theory might be true!

Like others have said, I do not think that monster Marcus referred to was the prototype. Seems like he's hinting more at PJ but I'll need to rewatch the tapes videos.

This is dark yet heartwarming at the same time. (mainly at the end)

I genuinely believe that the player character is an experiment made as a last resort for 1006. It just feels right given how much they feared 1006

Honestly I think the change in demeanor is less 'the darkness' and probably has more to do with getting free and immediately being restrained and grabbed by Mommy Longlegs, plus, we have _no idea_ what Mommy Longlegs did to Poppy when she wasn't observing us, and it might just be me, but the way she was acting towards Poppy and behaving gave me the impression that Mommy Longlegs had it out for her from the get go, I mean Poppy was going to let us out and come with us, and Mommy Longlegs was lonely and desperate for a playmate, so the sheer hostility would make sense. Regardless I can't say I'm thrilled about 'plot twist Poppy's using us' thing, I mean, imagine if she was just a companion, someone helpful? I can think of a few games off the top of my head that give you a constant companion that _doesn't_ turn against you, and it always turns out way more interesting every time I've seen it, such as with Catherine in SOMA, Hewie in Haunting Ground, Freddy in Security Breach, Scout in Hello Puppets, or, closer to this example, Teddy in Among the Sleep. It's a lot easier to get more emotions out of your player when it's not just _you_ in the danger or along for the ride, I mean, the ending of SOMA lives in my head rent free and I remember the other three games with a lot of fondness because they all made me _feel_ something instead of just being scary for the sake of being scary, I mean, before that reveal, I was genuinely on edge the _entire_ chapter because I was worried about Poppy on top of the atmosphere, I found myself on edge even in the in between puzzle areas because I was thinking _I need to get this done fast, I need to make sure Poppy is okay._ Yeah so bottom line, kinda sick of horror games not utilizing giving the main character a companion to give more life and emotion into the game, and I can't help but feel a little disappointed that this is the direction this game is taking.

I don't think Poppy is evil, I think she legitimately wants to right the wrongs done here, and the betrayal of keeping us here is something she hopes we'll forgive her for since we're so far the only person who's survived this long and killed both Huggy and Mommy.

@@AnakhaSilver True, but she's also still antagonistic, when she first showed up I was _really_ hoping she'd be a bit more like, say, Catherine from SOMA, where she's traveling through the vents so she isn't _always_ there, but _does_ pop up to help and engage with the MC, I was hoping that, for once, a newer indie horror game would break the formula of 'character who seems to be an ally turns out to secretly be evil and/or lying to/manipulating you' cause I honestly can't think of a single time that formula has actually worked or been interesting in an indie horror game, at least in recent memory... She might not be evil, but she still is working against the players best interests, and unless they pull a good old fashioned character arc with Poppy learning to value the MC's life in the end, I can't really see this turning out any way but either frustrating or really _really_ cliche...

My only confusion w this thepry is how when mommy long legs dies she talks about the prototype taking her when she dies like she knew it would happen but says HE will take me . Also with how long the arm is could the prototype maybe be an old huggy design? Very interesting reguardless cant wait to see more!!

I wish these vids included what evidence is used to come up with the ideas and clearly highlighted which statements are theories vs which are proven.

A theory I saw elsewhere is that Mommy seems to know us, and Mommy has Poppy captive. Mommy could have told Poppy who we are. I suspect part of the cause for Poppy's shift in personality is that she has chosen to betray us. When freed, she didn't know the player was--in her words--Too Perfect and Capable. Her choosing to keep us doesn't sit well with her. We are her vehicle for revenge. Also I remind of earlier theories, that the Player is the final prototype--the perfect toy that can blend in with humanity. What if Poppy wants our body?

My theory: is that the claw that dragged mommy after her death is experiment 1006, known as the “Prototype” Where which would take parts of other toys and put it on him to become stronger and stronger, and that’s what I think she means by “HE’LL MAKE ME PART OF HIM”
