Why the Mavericks Will Win a Title this Season
In their last 15 games the Dallas Mavericks have won 13 including statement wins against the Nuggets and the surging Houston Rockets who were winners of 11 straight themselves. The Rockets should’ve known an all mighty beatdown was coming when Luka was making shots like this in the pre game. Luka actually made a shot even better than that during the game where Jabari Smith Jr played 23 seconds of solid defence but then Luka connected on a seemingly implausible scoop shot to beat the shot clock. For many players this would be their career best highlight but for Doncic he has many more of these in his bag that were arguably better than this one. Then in the same game Luka made a bank shot then gave a nod as if to say he meant to do it than later he banks another in from the same spot just to prove he meant the first one. Luka is toying with his opposition as his level of skill is virtually unmatched in the NBA right now maybe even good enough to beat the Denver Nuggets but we will get to that later.

The overall feeling that is in the NBA media and with the fandoms matches exactly what the national narrative was in 2011. I feel like the Mavs can make the Finals. The Nuggets aren’t as deep as they were last season and they’re going to make those guys work.

no they cant beat the celtics who will most probobably win the eastern confrence but they have a real shot at the western confrence
I just wanna know, what do the Mavs not have, we have the super star with Luka, a top 2nd option with Kyrie, we have rim protection with Lively and Gaff, we have perimeter D with guys like PJ and Exum, we have a deep bench with Kleeber, Exum, Josh Green, and Livley. We are a great Defense, Offense, we have great chemistry. Honestly if we don’t atleast make conference finals then I’d be suprised

The Western Conference is incredibly strong, Luka will need to carry this bunch to get there regardless... He has to score heavily.

Western Conference matchups - Dallas vs. Clippers - Mavs in 6. Dallas vs. Thunder - Mavs in 5. Dallas vs. Minnesota - Wolves in 7. Dallas vs. Denver - Mavs in 7. Dallas vs. the Silver Lakers - Lakers and the zebras in however many games Adam wants. Dallas vs. Celtics - If KP is healthy, Celtics in 5. If not, Celtics in 7. No, I'm not saying that Minnesota is better than Denver - such a series would end with the Nuggets winning in 6. But the Wolves, a team I hate, are kryptonite for the Mavs' backcourt, besides the Celtics the only team in the league who can stop them straight up.

I agree that Minnesota would be a very tough series for the Mavericks, but at the end of the day Dallas just have more experience we saw it at the end of the Nuggets game recently where ANT took like 2 shots in the entire 4th

Chokers always choke, dont fool yourself...they cant beat nuggets in game seven series...they cannot match THE JOKER ONE ON ONE...MAVS ALWAYS RELY ON LUKA!S AND KYRIES PLAY MAKING, WITHOUT THOSE TWO PLAYERS MAVS ARE NOTHING..WHILE NUGGETS COULD PLAY EVEN JOKER IS IN THE BENCH...

Luka and kyrie are THE playmakers, THE others dont know what to when their two stars are on THE bench.. While nuggets can execute THE play without relying on joker when he is on THE bench...they move THE ball in order to find open team mates, while dallas always relying in LUKA'S PLAY MAKING IN ORDER TO EXECUTE THE GAME...IF LUKA IS THE REAL MVP.. HE SHOULD BEAT KAWHI FIRST IN THE FIRST ROUND.. BUT IF HE CHOKES AGAIN,, HE WOULDNT FACE THE NUGGETS IN WCF...

@@basketballreach yeah I never said they’re not beatable, I’m saying they’re playing on a different level. And now that they have the experience it makes it that much harder for other teams to try and knock them out of the playoffs. Especially if they get the 1 seed
