The back fout first was never explained to me, I'll start right away. This is why I always walk the lift out, thanks coach!

Its not that cut and dry, many world class lifters go front foot first.
Idk why i am watching this. I don't even jerk. The power rating is interesting though.

Don't lie. You do jerk.
Awesome video! Super helpful, informative and concise
I like your organization of the information and progressions. Thank you.
I can clean 138kg but can only jerk 115kg. The jerk is NO JOKE
I actually needed this as I recently started weightlifting because of this channel and found out I sometimes forget to even split the legs. got a ways to go but this will help
This one is going viral, I have a feeling
Awesome. Now i can get back to Mark Bell's Saturday school episode 😅 thanks for the upload Raffe
wow this is so much info on something look so easy to perform when actually performed proffessionally by world class athletes
So crazy because I literally felt myself landing separately my last set of jerks and I thought I was wrong. Trying to fix it and now realize I need to do it! Thanks for the slower video showing this @zacktelander
Great video!
Thank you!
One word, thanks !
This is a particularly interesting comment section for a ZT video
PLEASE DO ONE FOR THE CLEAN
Holy balls 4800 watts from Lasha that's bonkers.thats like 6.5 hp.
Nice to see a cameo of the coomer lol
Ironically I don’t need much power as a powerlifter. However my coach gives me some explosive work every week. It could be in me head but it makes me feel better and that means something.
For me, I’ve found too exaggerated of a “back foot, front foot” split results in forward hip displacement after the back foot lands, and I miss behind.
whats the meta here? stronger leg front or back? if you have a "bad" knee is it better to have it be the front or back leg?
Oh dude that cartoon jerk 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💀
i prob watched Hysen Pulaku 211kg C&J like 300 times
My man used a Bomberman Hero song!
Damn, that is Hysen Pulaku, he was insane. Where is he now?
Fun opening song. The jerk is the most powerful… is the Snatch the most something? I’ve heard it’s the most athletic movement, but is there something else the snatch objectively uses the most of?

The snatch isn’t as powerful as the jerk, but being able to snatch has many athletic benefits such as improved hip mobility, shoulder mobility, and thoracic spine mobility.
Is there anything wrong doing a power jerk opposed to the split? The split just feels sketchy to me when I do it.

Make sure like Zack says, that your front knee doesn’t go past the heel, and that the front foot goes far forward enough. You could also try displacing your feet laterally as well, widening your base.

Nothing wrong with the power jerk, but I think the seductive appeal of its simplicity leads too many athletes to abandon split jerking when just sticking it out and focusing on improving one's split would be the better option in the vast majority of cases. The main drawbacks of the power jerk are its increased demand in bar elevation and the decreased leniency in stabilization/recovery. If you're experiencing some sort of previous injury or restriction that's causing pain/significant discomfort in the split or if you just truly can't split to save your life for some other reason, _then_ switching to the power jerk may be the right call.

If u power more than ur split after 3 years of training the split I think u could probably switch. But u really should learn how to split jerk and focus a lot of time and effort into learning it correctly. Otherwise you’ll just be wasting ur time

@@schinza Agreed, too many beginners say "the split isn't for me" without sufficient practice.
Kono powa indeed.
The coomer at the beginning lol
I think the snatch generates more power
Who was the last lifter?

The jerk is great for athletes. Looks just like an athlete planting feet for a cut.
