Why The 2021 GMC Sierra 2500HD Is Better Than The 2021 Ford F250 XL/XLT || 2021 GMC 2500HD Review
In today's video I tell you why the 2021 GMC Sierra is a better value than the Ford F250.
Let me know in the comments if you have any questions or suggestions for other cars I should review!
When referring to Ford I am comparing to the XL/XLT trims only unless otherwise noted
As a Ford fan it is disappointing to see the lack of features and standard equipment that ford is offering on it's base model trucks, which is what is purchased and used the most, work trucks.
To have a truck equipped with full LEDs, parking sensors and a good sound system you have to buy a fully loaded XLT or nicely optioned Lariat. Both of which will push you well over $50K. Whereas GMC offers all of this for under $50K.
If you're looking for a luxury truck than Ford is the one to go with as their Platinums and Limiteds are the best you can get in a truck without buying a Mercedes. However not everyone has $85K+ to spend on a truck, especially businesses, governments, and construction companies, that is why the GMC is the better value for your needs.

Link to the comparable F250 XL, which is slightly cheaper but is much more basic and has the outdated 6.2L, if equipped with the 7.3L it would be almost the same price:

    Brandon I agree. I’m ordering a SLE gasser with every imaginable option available (even the 5th wheel/gooseneck package) and the full MSRP is $61k. Was looking at Ford 1/2 tons and a even a well equipped F150 XLT MSRP is $55K, and that’s a much lesser truck and w/o a 5th wheel package. No brainer. GMC is a really nice truck.

    I would pick the ford 7.3 gas 10 speed trans.

    Being a Ford guy I considered it before ordering the GMC but the 7.3 is a $2K option for just a tad more power than the standard GMC 6.6 (only 11 more ft. lbs. torque) and it’s mated to a newer trans that performs well but hasn’t been proven durable yet over the long haul. When I optioned the Ford and GMC 3/4 tons out apples to apples the GMC was just more bang for the buck for my needs.

    Had my 2021 for just about a year now..So far my ecu went out at 3000 miles, brakes squealing since 4000 rear window leaks, engine sound like a lifter is going infotainment is, well you’ll see , parking brake sticks and the list gos on.. I can’t say any other truck is better, I’ve been only GM trucks for 25 years now but this is definitely the poorest quality truck I’ve ever owned. It’s definitely the best looking outside but built with the cheapest parts possible. I doubt many of these will be on the road in 10 years

    Sorry to hear about your experience. The truck in the video just crossed over 10k miles and hasn't had any of the issue you mentioned except for squealing brakes around 4k miles and then went away. For long term Ford would probably be best but for base features and offerings the GMC is far better than Ford or Dodge current offerings on base model trucks. Hope your truck stops having issues.

    Ordering my 2500 SLE tomorrow. You’re not making me feel too confident lol. I’ve always been a Ford guy but I have t had too good of luck with them and it seems like they’ve gotten even more expensive than GMC comparing apples to apple. Hope your luck gets better with your truck.

    I was thinking about buying one of these. My wife wants me to sell my 2005 GMC 2500 Crewcab SLT Duramax 6.6 4x4. It has 270,000 miles and has been amazing truck. Leather seats, Heated seats, memory seats, auto AC, rear view mirror dimmer, heated, adjustable, and signal tow mirrors. It’s very hard for me to swallow spending 50k on a new truck with possibly less features.

    I've had the Duramax 2500 for 10k miles now, not a single problem, i have noticed the brake sqeal, wierd because im barely moving when it does it and the brakes work fine otherwise, overall im extremely happy, and Duramax makes loads of power

    I’ve had my 2021 Sierra 2500 Base (same seen here) for a year and no issues. I’ve put 12,000 miles on so far and use it as a family truck for hauling a travel trailer as well as my everyday driver.
