I have this same truck but in a SLE trim. I burn no oil, my trailer brake system works great I cant put it above 5 without locking up my trailers brakes...As with the seats I have power seats and am able to raise the seat witch gives me a good view over the hood.

Good video, trying to decide which generation truck I wanna go with, right now the price isn’t much different between the 2022 and the 2016 price range. Gonna be retiring my 03 Yukon xl 2500 with 202K miles on her. She doesn’t even do a full rev to start.

Overpaid for my 2015 6.0. Test drove a new 6.6 and it felt just as slow. Couldn’t find a Ford 7.3 in stock and didn’t want to wait, or that’s what I would have bought. 85k miles on the ‘15, but I have more faith in it than the new one. Well kept grandpa truck with all the options I want, think I’m just going to finish paying it off and forget about a new truck for a while.

My dad just bought a 21 gmc exactly the same as yours she has 235,000kms all highway and it to just came up service park brake. It also made grinding noise like it was stuck on. He only bought her today so I’m not sure what’s otg with the brakes yet but it don’t sound good. Also found the ac is low as well.

Do you only have a fleet key? If so, that would explain less power, slower acceleration, and why the transmission shifts like it does. I have driven a couple of these with 17,000 pounds on and they will burn the tires on acceleration. Throw your head back when downshifting pulling up a hill. Change oil every 5K miles and no oil burners yet.

I've been watching your reviews and workplaytv. It looks like the ride on these trucks is miserable and since mine will be on logging roads this isn't good. I'm glad I haven't been able to order one but am very disappointed as I am a GM guy. Maybe I should look at the 7.3 gas F-250?

@@BurninGas8.1 Sorry about slamming you with so many questions but you're not afraid to criticize and I like that. And you actually use yours on rough dirt roads. Is there anything besides being careful with ordering (like no snow plow/camper heavy duty front springs) that's going to make the GM HD tolerable on logging roads?

ok your square body 73 to 87 in the k2500 or k20 for chev are 8600 gvwr and the 2020 up in that configuration is 10450 gvwr that truck will ride harder dan your square body the front axle on this 2021 is 2540 kg and on the 73-87 front axle rating is 2110 kg so there is a difference still even if you add up a leaf on your square body

My 2020 Chevy 2500hd with the new gas engine rides so much smoother than the 2007 Chevy 2500hd classic that I had. And that was the LBZ. I am very happy with how my truck rides and it has a lot of snot. Definitely pulls hard when you put your foot down and gas mileage isn’t too bad. I get about 11-12 mpg on my way to work going over two mountains and I get anywhere from 16-18 on the interstate.

I have the 6.6 in my express 2500 passenger van.... same engine as in this pickup. 6 speed transmission. I think maybe you have some sort of fleet vehicle that is goverened.... My van weighs 7000 pounds with me and a tank of gas, and can tow 10000 pounds on the highway no prob. Oodles of power If i push the traction control button off, i will burn rubber or launch big time.... i leave most cars in the DUST at the green lights, even when they are revving to go. 0-100km 7.5 seconds 0-160km 17 seconds Gas consumption great on highway It is notably faster and more powerful than my express 1500 5.3v8 Seats are all-day comfortable AC is good enough to cool 12 passengers, or 2 tonnes of gear Ground clearance is very good Loves to cruise at 80km/h jus as much as 150km/h.... but of course the gas consumption goes up so i stick to 115 km/h this gets me 12.6L /100km (Driving 70mph gets you 18.5 mpg) I have the 6.0 in my yukon xl.... the 6.6 is way faster and better on fuel If they made a 4x4 chevy van, then there would be no need for a pickup. Personally, I dont want to drive where a 4x4 is necessary, but if i did, id just put my dirt bike on my bumper hitch BTW.... my oil is light brown, and still full, at 7000km.... will change every 10k or when dirty.... thats good enough to get you to 350,000 km, by that time its work only $5k anyways. I broke it in properly til 2000km, then i hit the gas.

My 2021 is the Biggest vehicle disappointment I’ve ever purchased. Such a piece of poop. It’s a beautiful truck, love the look but it seems (in my opinion) it was engineered by interns for people who commute to the office. Government motors seems to have went above and beyond with screwing customers and screwing up a great looking truck with half assed cheap parts(blown eco already, brakes squeal all the time, service parking brake, service trailer brake, reduced engine power lights, esc light, radio going blank or freezing …all within 7000 miles)no way to add wheel controls and the ior infotainment belongs back in the 2012 focus it came out of…the stick in the cluster lol..The good part is mine came with front and back seats as well as all 4 glass side windows, all without having to buy a completely unnecessary up package. Crap trailer brake, awful trans, ticking timebomb of an engine that shimmy’s at stoplights.. God so many things in my personal opinion…regulating the heat is impossible, ac sucks on mine also, window fogging is insane. The hood is definitely hard to see over, especially dangerous with the higher packages geared towards amateur hour buyers .. i personally would take my old truck any day of the week over this. Only upside in owning one personally is I voiced concerns many many many times when the idea of a total company switch from ford 150/250s came up…we have exactly 2317 lease units in the US….well they just started to deliver our new fords….the 6 times I’ve had it at 2 different dealers I felt I was treated like a jerkoff since it’s a base model, especially with how irritated they seem with the courtesy rides home..Now I just laugh to myself about it. Again all my personal opinion, based on my personal experience’s. Your results may vary

The seats suck! Most thinly padded uncomfortable seats I have ever sat in and mounted too low. In my work truck I am always looking to raise the seat but cannot. The ride is awful as you say. Chevy has always had a good ride until this generation. The 6.6 is low on power also and with the tall 3:73 gears it really struggles and is constantly shifting back and fourth. The truck just feels cheap in and out compared to past generations.
