Got the xt5 last year and it made me fall in love with photography all over again. When I travel for work I love taking photos as I drive down the road and with the 40 mega pixel offers variable and fast response. I currently have the fujinon 23mm f2, the fujinon 55-200 mm zoom the meike 50mm f0.95 and the 10mm f2 . I find the 4 to be absolutely perfect ratio in how they respond with the camera especially when riding in a car going 65 mph or more. I have owned Kodak, nikon, mainly point and shoot but as the prices of cameras changed over the years I would use the camera on my phone (which were mainly Samsung) my current phone the Samsung zfold 5 offers a 50 mega pixel so in comparison between the fuji 40 mega pixel the the zfold 5 's 50 mega pixel comparison they are almost on par with each other although very different mechanism setups. Fuji has won my respect in how they have created in my opinion the ultimate system with the xt5.

X-T5 for photography is just YES. After 13 years of photography and 7 cameras, X-T5 is my first camera that just feels complete, like it can handle anything. Except for a slight downgrade in video compared to X-T3/4 (no oversampled full-width 4K) it's perfect in every way. The IBIS is a game changer for travel photography.

The Fuji XT5 is my first Fuji after being a Canon user for 15 years. While other camera systems might have better specs, Fujis seem to have a charm of their own. I get great photos on the XT5 and absolutely love the portability it offers. I got the cheaper 23/35 f2 lenses and they are still plenty sharp. It’s all about how well you use your camera vs. getting the camera with the best specs.

Everything this camera offers seems perfect, especially the camera size and image colors, but what’s keeping me from pulling the trigger is the autofocus and the buffer. I can deal with the buffer shortcomings, but the autofocus issue is holding me back. I am looking for a camera that I can use for street, architecture, portraits, and landscape mostly, and for bird photography once in a while. Unfortunately, the closest camera shop where I can try high end cameras is 5 hours away. Videos and internet comments and blog opinions is all I have. Thanks for this video.

Very nice summary, Andrei, thanks for sharing! Love my X-T5 too and if I would be forced to glue one lens to it it would be my 23mm f1,4 LM WR. I’ll take the new 23 mm over the 23 mm F2 anytime because of the close focusing distance. Wonderful glass and it fits my personal style better than the 27mm of the Viltrox. I have the 13mm f1,4 Viltrox though and it is an amazing lens

This is a great camera honestly it's very hard to find a fault much in this camera. It's a wonderful piece of technology. I have a GFX 50 that I love for my landscape photography as I've spoken to you about, but I still love my XT5 for many of my other Photography work that I do, and sometimes my grab and go camera is my XT5 it's also really good in low light. I think it was one of the myths that I saw that it was no good and low light because it had 40 megapixels that's a load of baloney. It's actually really good in lowlight I shot a funeral yeah a funeral and it was really sad and it was indoors with no flash and I had to shoot at ISO 5000 yes 5000 and I still got very usable images out of the XT5. This is a great camera..... I do recommend people get an L bracket and the reason for it is just a protect the camera in general if you bump it on something or you knock it on a wall the L bracket will take a fair bit of the punishment of the camera so protects the long life and the L brackets come with a deeper grip and it doesn't make the camera too bulky at all

  • @AndreiDimaReviews

The XT5 and the Fuji 23mm f1.4 is so impressive!! I have a few Fuji lenses but that is my go to combo. I thought the X100VI would replace this setup but the viewfinder of the X100VI is really poor with only .52 magnification. It is a poor rangefinder experience compared to Leicas. The XT5 viewfinder is fantastic and helps make the shooting experience enjoyable. In terms of software I moved from Lightroom to DXO and it has made a world of difference to Fuji files. If anyone has tried DXO and Capture One, I would love to hear your experience/ preference. BTW, I love your vids Andrea! 👍🏽

Most used lenses for events: XF 56 1.2 (first edition but will probably upgrade to WR or f1 soon), XF 33 1.4 for more intimate spaces, XF 90 2 for larger spaces. I also use the XF 70-300 for landscape alongside Sigma 18-50 2.8. I generally prefer to use primes but the Sigma's very short minimum focus distance makes it almost macro capable! At the moment I'm adding to my vintage lens collection which is also feeding into my event work. Current favourites are a 1962 KMZ Jupiter 9 85mm and Tair 11a 135mm which are both used with a Speed Booster. Beautiful out of focus backgrounds, especially for the Tair 11a which has 20 aperture blades. Those are more for portrait work, as neither handle flares or harshly lit environments well. All used on my X-T5, X-E4, X-E2 (although my XF 28mm pancake lives on that camera almost full time now).

The noise is so fine it's so easy to tone down if you wish, Ive used the X-T4 and X-T3 and the 5 is by far the best at high ISO I regularly use 6400 with 1.4 and 1.2 primes.

The menus still do feel slow but it's not something I think about much since the function buttons have 90% of what I need once they're set up.
