This is podcast is actually so important to the cod scene. Having all these first hand accounts of the very early days of competitive call of duty and talking about it's history is something really special. Yeah the crim and pat talk is so cool. I hope they get teep as well and karma and scump and formal and clay and nade, in importance in that order. That would be so cool. I feel like crim doesn’t talk about personal stuff like love, but I know he loves everyone I just named. Especially the col boys. Crim and aches and teep and clay and karma should be boys for sure. Idk if they are but I hope so, and I hope they can talk now about the crazy ass past and how it was before it’s time and how they could play in their prime together today.

i’ve been playing cod since cod4, starting as a 9yr old kid and now being 24, almost 25. it’s insane to finally see a lot of the insight on the backstories, i had only heard small things from friends around gb’s/cdl. this was an insane eye opener and i got so much love for all the og’s in the cod scene.

That first bit Aches said: "We used to just show up to make money and go home". Pro COD back then was a job, its turned into a lifestyle and a show. That explains so much of why the league is so different nowadays.

I started watching cod in Bo1 and seeing the col dynasty first hand was crazy but now to here first hand accounts of behind the scenes is incredible best. this is by far the best cod related podcast yet and even ip there for podcast in general. cant wait to see who is on next

Man this is bringing back a lot of memories of the old cod scene. Hopefully the new-gen players will gain some respect for the legends of the scene.

This was such a great watch. During this time period they're speaking about I only kept up with Halo, so it's awesome to get such insight into the COD scene! Also, it was really nice to hear Pat just talking and not having Ben tryna argue every other sentence. 😅 can't wait for more episodes!!

It was honestly a perfect progression for me with everyone in the COD Scene. I was 11/12 years old watchin Crim come into the scene and dominate with coL & Fariko n Haggy owning all of BO2 & I was just so pissed as a kid wanting Scump to win lol. But after 10+ years & growing up I realize how important y’all were. That’s why I love everything bout comp cod, cause at the end of the day y’all are just people like everyone else. Thank you both for everything you’ve done.

I remember watching it live and I was so happy when they knocked optic out. I went back to watch the vod and saw the comments from people who were there saying he was being extra spicey at the crowd because of the racial slurs. Some people thought he was just being a bad sport and he got even more racist comments online.

Finally finished the episode! Can’t wait for more.

This podcast was very needed, and I hope that players who are currently competing or plan on competing in the future. Listen to this because there’s a lot of things that happen early on an esports that never gets brought up that a lot of competitors went through that simply cannot be explained just by word of mouth. the energy that went into that time of growing competitive Call of Duty® and competitive halo was the wild wild west and it’s just amazing to look 10 years later and see players getting paid $20,000 a month

MirX put his trust into Haggy and Sloss too much that’s what held him back because he should still be playing!

I do not usually comment on KZread videos. This was everything I hoped it would be and more - really hope for a PT. 2 sooner than later. Aches is one of the *insert worship adjectives here* greatest, most needed players in COD history. It was awesome getting a peak behind the curtain of such sustained greatness. Love this. Was definitely guilty of thinking of Aches as a villain since that’s how he was always talked about, but seeing him in stuff like this has really made me respect and appreciate him a lot more. And I’ve never been a fan of the narrative putting you as a villain though even as an OpTic fan myself (although tbh I root for pretty much everybody nowadays since I have players I like all over the place), his is gonna sound weird, but it’s 1000% meant as a compliment because it’s also the way I describe some of my best friends and favorite people in general, but I’ve always thought of you as a “lovable asshole.” May rub people the wrong way and fit that villain role well if you don’t know any better, but maybe it’s because I’ve been watching your content for so long that I know you’re a good and funny dude at heart. Anyway, loving the podcast and can’t wait to watch more!

anaheim bo2 was the first event i watched. that was when seth and nade were grinding in the summer at the house all the time. people hated impact so much. you guys were semi close to rounding out the show i was hoping you would mention ghosts anaheim octane comeback. i dont think the optic team for ghosts ever recovered from that. i wouldve loved to hear about 18 champs. i want to know more about the scump aches duo from bo1. and how you guys wanted to pick up scump during col run at some point. great episode. always awesome to see pat be pat instead of his persona(even though the persona is entertaining). it is crazy to think that back then when getting 2quick all you needed was any main ar for success and couldnt find one, but now we have an abundance of mains

I have not watched a cod tournament since BO3 but had to instantly watch this. Loved watching coL winning when no one wanted to see them win.

I have seen aches on a few pods and I think he is very well spoken/good at telling stories. Definitely a good guest
