This isn't true anymore, you can install the game to any folder you want not just the encrypted windowsapp folder.

That may be the case, but Starfield Script Extender is still not supported on Windows Store or Game Pass.

you can do that but the exe file is locked so the scrip extender doesn't work

Yeah! People already get confused with Skyrim and Fallout. It’s going to be hysteria in a couple months when people want to try out mods.

Sky UI and Reshade(to fix the weird greenish milky tint on everything ) are the only ones that I feel are really necessary, they work with gamepass

You’d have more problems with mods, the developing studio, the US government, and potentially your local government.

Skyrim has mods on console gamepass, fallout too, it won't take too long to be on starfield as well

i thought the problem was the fact pc game pass games were installed in a windows protected folder which isnt the case anymore, as you can chose a custom game folder now.

As far as I can tell SKSE and other script extenders are still not supported on game pass games. I believe the enable mods is just to allow those basic less complicated mods like texture packs.

You never knew what they did to skyrim

Basically if you play through pc gamepass you only get the same mods xbox consoles get. No outside scripts.

Not exactly true, you are able to make the script extenders to work on the game pass versions, it just takes a lot of tweaking. Which is a pain in the ass XD

SKSE is not officially supported for Game Pass at least. So whatever you make work is hacking the system or basically developing the functionality yourself. If Starfield Script Extender turns out the same way.

Uh, if you set up advanced install with a custom install folder you can mod just fine.

SKSE doesn’t support the Windows Store version of Skyrim and it will likely be the same for Starfield

If I bought the game from the xbox store will I have the same problem? I bought the premium edition, won't I be able to install the mods once I move to pc?i can't solve the problem with a program that moves the game from microsoft store to steam?

Gamepass and Xbox store are the same in this regard. You can’t move games from Microsoft store to steam. Maybe you could have steam launch it, but it’s still a Microsoft store game

Any mod that requires the script extender. Most likely you’d be limited to the mods that Bethesda provides for you. If they have an in-game modding channel like they did with Skyrim Special Edition and Fallout 4

I'm sat here 16 hours into starfield,, *no spoilers don't worry,,,, yeah rockstar NEEDS to make SURE AND CERTAIN that #6 is WORLD beating cos honestly it's up ABOVE gta 4, gta 5 AND skyrim,,,* my all time FAVORITE game of all time and combined with BOTH gta 4 and 5,,, starfield is better BY MILES,,,,, d9nt listen to the hype, don't have any time for the impatient,, the game will take you AT least till you're lvl 20 THEN just when you think "ah, I know what it is now" you find yourself paying a TOTALLY diffrent game,,, think skyrim is fkn legendary warts and all still love it? Yeah starfield is gunna butt fuk you're sleep patterns ppl,,, I haven't gone to sleep pre 7am since the 1st 😂😂😂😂

Yeah, its just not true there is million workarounds. It takes like 10seconds of research to find a way around it

You didn’t research enough because Starfield Script Extender is not supported on Game Pass or Windows Store versions of the game. Which is what I was talking about in the video.

Compatiblity: SFSE supports the release of Starfield on Steam. Other stores (Windows Store/Game Pass) are not supported. Straight from the script extender mod page on Nexus.

Dont worry there will be a version for xbox of the best mods. Just look at Skyrim and Fallout 4.

There’s mods on there but you’ll never see something like SkySA or Poisebreaker because they require injected scripts.

The amount of time we had to wait for even those types of mods for console I'm not shocked. But it would be at least good if you clarified that the console gamers are going to be restricted to the types of mods they can and may or may not be used. Instead of starting it as nope console gets none but then in comments say oh yeah but not the cool pc ones

Well … yeah???? but everyone doesn’t have a PC so unfortunate for console players. Fortunately .. there ARE good mods on Xbox. They ARE good mods on Skyrim. Much better than Playstation mods that’s for sure.

That’s not the case, it’s just script extender mods won’t be available for game pass/Xbox users, so they won’t have access to the more advanced, game changing mods. There will still be a mod menu on PC and consoles on the 6th

@@c4chanse it does work with some tweaking. There are multiple videos out on it already. So it comes down to pay 70$ or play it free with just a few tweaks.
