Why Takeoff And Landing Are So Dangerous
Ғылым және технология
According to Boeing, 49% of all fatal plane accidents happen during the final descent and landing phases of the average flight, while 14% happen during takeoff and the initial climb. One of the reasons for this is altitude - the closer the plane is to the ground, the less time a pilot has to react to problems. Here's why making a plane stop is actually riskier than making it fly.

This is true in a sense. It’s more fatal because of stuff happens in the air like a engine fail and it makes it harder to land. This increasing the risk of a fatal accident. Just normal lands is probably just going the be a 14% as of landing
As a student pilot, I can say take off and landings aren’t scary or dangerous unless your a new pilot. You should be more worried about another plane hitting u on the ground
i dont understand why ive been watching so many videos about plane crashes when im literally 4 weeks away from getting on one lol
1:21 perfect example of fatal landing🤣
Landing without the landing gear was occurred on November 2011 in Warsaw. This incidence was happened on lot polish airlines flight 16.

Tech insider: takeoff and landings are dangerous Pilots: it’s everyday bro!
I believe that model ‘landing’ at 1:20 was a replica Ryanair landing
I was flying back from South Carolina to my hometown, the pilot said “ladies and gentlemen, we’re going to have some *minor* turbulence going into the airport.” And oh my god, it felt like I was in an earthquake fixickfkfkc
Wow this helped my anxiety 👌🤣
We need to agree on one thing here. There's is no part of flight that is slightly "Dangerous". You might explain something in the video about it. But with a title like that, nervous fliers might not even press play on the video, they just take the title. You're right that most fatal accidents in planes happen during the takeoff face, and the landing. But there is no part of flight that is dangerous!

Cause there's little air for the plane to glide on when landing, so it depends mostly on the speed, the tires, the stability, and the angle position when landing. This is why you can get arrested for getting out of your seat during take off and landing because it can cause a crash, best is let the staff know, or empty yourself in the airport, or hold it until the plane is stable in a high altitude. Search the accident of a taking off plane caused by a cargo of tissues that was not tied into one place.
Damn Those tailstrike
Ok. Thank's. On a next week i fly to Thailand in Christmas holiday.
2:26 i guess you forgot about V1?
While take off air pressure and turbulence is extremely high depending on direction and size of the airport and nearby building. Sometimes echo from nearby buildings and electrical grounding of thunder etc. While landing complete de pressurize and slow because it can remove blood. Easy state of coma.
Glad I watched this *after* flying halfway around the world.

Moral of the lesson don’t let tech insider land your Air France airbus a380 because they love landing on the nose which means *KABOOM*
watching this while waiting for my plane
Who’s the woman speaking ? She‘s such a wonderful voice
Well, Actually if the problem occurs during take-off, the Pilot will usually make the decision to Cancel take-off or Continue depending on the aircraft speed at that time, In aviation it is called "V1". If the aircraft has an accident before reaching V1, the pilot will cancel take-off. If the speed has reached V1 (It will be announced by Audio in the cockpit) The pilot will take off the plane and attempt to land ASAP
Watching this before a flight. Yikes.

It’s annoying and painful how your model plane has 3 engines
Mid-air accident is the worse. Falling from the sky is scary. Any crashes are scary from takeoff, cruising, or landing. Not all accidents are survivable. I rather put it around 80% that most accidents are survivable and 20% of some accidents are not survivable by human or mechanical errors.
If only we treated car accidents like we treat plane accidents.
