Why Take Tours When You Visit Washington DC

Most visitors to Washington DC do not take tours. In this episode, we hope to convince you that you should! And show you that tours and experiences can easily be the best and most memorable part of a trip. Rob is joined by guest Megan Marod-a licensed New York City tour guide, social media personality who runs The Megan Daily, and host of the Most Marvelous NYC podcast. We'll discuss not only why you should take tours, but also how to find good ones, which can be more difficult than you might think, and how to book your tours for the best possible experience.

I think the reason a lot of people don't sign up for tours is due to the cost. Traveling is expensive and tours are another expense which can be very expensive. Having said that. I always look for a tour that fits our budget when we travel and i agree tours are often the highlight of the trip. Enjoy your podcast. Keep up the great work!

Totally agree. My first private tour was your tour. Honestly best experience. Anywhere we go we will always look for a private tour from now on.

What do you think of splitting up a trip? Example 3 nights Downtown and 3 nights at the Wharf? Too much or good idea to experience more neighborhoods?

Something that I do whatever I take tours is because I’m blind and hearing impaired I ask in advance to go human guide with the tour guide. If they refuse I don’t take that tour.
