We were in DC just yesterday and took the circulator to get around the Mall. I had to call the number on the sign to get a bus to stop at the stop on 15th street between Jefferson Dr SW and Independence Ave SW. I got to speak with a person and told them there were almost 10 people waiting for the bus for 45 minutes and had watched 5 busses turn just before the stop and never came. They had a bus there in less than 10 minutes! Other than that the Circulator is a great way to get around.

The circulator bus was a lifesaver going from the Washington Monument to the Jefferson Memorial - saved a ton of walking

As an aside, the Circulator is often an even better deal as the card readers are often out of order, at least on the LP-EM route, and the driver will wave you on for free :).

I’ve had mixed experiences so far on my trip to DC. It was useful around the memorials, but unreliable in the mall / Capitol Hill area.

The other day, I went to the Postal Museum, and it was fantastic. Definitely the most underrated museum. Thanks for the recommendation!

Rob this was the best thing that happened on our trip and it's all thanks to your channel! It was the weekend of that tropical storm and it was awful weather so it saved us a lot and they weren't charging anything to get on. Thanks Rob and also the best cheap eats was fantastic... Swizzler was delicious!!

I took the circulator quite a bit when I was in DC. Especially the Woodley Park Adams Morgan route because I am a bar rat.

Maybe a stupit question, but how do you know what the next stop will be and you have to get of the bus. Is there inside the circulator of another bus a sign ? Thank you

thanks.. a couple of questions.. 1) do they announce the next stop? 2) Does the circulator accept quarters - just in case you don't have any ones? 3) How late doe it run? I'll be catching a 10 pm train out of Union Station back to NY. thanks again!

It’s hilarious to hear you try to explain the random different open hours for each route- perhaps circulator doesn’t quite realize how unfriendly and confusing this is for new riders. You totally gave the explanation your best shot, but they really need to simplify and standardize their open hours across all routes!!

Can a pass work on a circular bus?

Is it easy to travel with a stroller on public transportation?

I'd argue that it's less of a bus system and more of a way for DC to fill in a handful of routes that WMATA doesn't want to cover. Virtually all the busses most residents would take in DC are WMATA metrobusses.

Is it $1 each time I get on the bus?
