youtube has been recommending awful 100- views videos with terrible audio quality for the past month and this is the first time it recommended something actually worth watching and passionate. you'll be big by the end of the year brother (maybe incorporate some humor tho (also holy shit you look exactly like my cousin))

Because it was trash that a few gaslit boomers in a closet kept playing for a decade and a half and when the 09'ers came around they all latched on to it because of those guys and moment 37. Just another random viral thing and retconning of history thanks to the internet. Lot of games that came out in the 90's and early 00's that were hated when they came out and now thanks to the internet everyone worships them.

Every time I make a video I have to remind myself that other fighting game tracks exist besides Third Strike😂. The sound alone is what got me to explore more about the FGC and it’s as you say there is something for someone everywhere, had a similar discussion recently. Really enjoyed your video this was excellent. Can’t wait for your other uploads, subbed.

What I absolutely love about 3rd strike is even though there’sa lot of broken stuff, each and every character has a fighting chance due to one simple yet very effective mechanic that should be implemented (correctly) in other fighting games. Great video.

Each and every character doesn't have a fighting chance with the system mechanics though. What is Twelve supposed to do if he parries Chun Li SA2? Throw? 2 lights into a super for mediocre damage? I like 3S but I really disagree with the sentiment that the parry in this game is an equalizer because the game balance being the way it is prevents it from being one.

Good video & great analysis. A game to nominate: Darkstalkers, especially Vampire Savior. It’s a series created alongside SF Alpha, SF3, and Marvel, and while those entries got more attention, it is no less beloved by its fans, and a lot of elements of Fighting Games were created or refined in this series, VSav itself the culmination of everything Darkstalkers achieved. 30 years later, fans keep the series alive, hoping Capcom can give it another chance to find the audience (and not jinx it).

What I love about 3S is the frequency of decision making. Combos are short, there's a lack of chain cancels. Matches feel like scraps, scrambles, brawls with micro adjustments and hopeful reads made. Compare to SF6.. "i'll wait for your combo to end and I get my turn back"

IMO SF3 TS is the peak of 2D sprite graphics, some could say KOF 13 is, but SF has way more smoother animations, some of KOF 13 graphics seems to be 2D renders of a 3D model. Regardless, KOF13 looks sick too.

No one thought Chun's SA2 was unparryable, just very hard to parry. The issue is that it was nigh impossible to parry on reaction, particularly in the situation Daigo was in. Any blocked hit would be lethal due to chip, and SA2 only has a 2 frame window post super flash to parry. Every single time Daigo pressed forward or down, it locked him out of parrying for a third of a second. If Justin happened to super during that time, Daigo was just dead. It was Daigo properly threading the needle to get the initial parry, then not panicking and doing the proper parry pattern, and then actually doing the optimal punish to get the kill. That was the impressive shit

If you like throwing fireballs and zone it’s Super Turbo, the cast is more legendary, the sounds, it’s perfect but its starting to look old. 3S if you want to parry and throw less fireballs, the art is timeless and the music is amazing.
