I completely agree. I don’t know if this year is a SB year. Last season was our best chance with the core players we have currently.

I love Steve. He speaks so freaking well and states facts. His energy is always high in his interviews.

Oh god, my favorite player of all time is confirming my deep fear that last season was our best shot at getting the SB. I'm gonna throw up.

You didn’t need Steve Young to tell you that. We all knew it. If they ever bring back the “missing rings“ TV show, the 2023 49ers will be featured. It’s the one that got away, 2019 also, but 2023 really stung me even more.

When they got beat by a solid Ravens team near the end of the season, that showed cracks in the Niners' armor a lil bit.

@@rawereawera Exactly. Steve Young had been playing in the USFL before going to Tampa. Then he was brought it to replace Joe Montana. When he became the official starter for the SF 49ers, he'd been playing professional football for 7 years. My opinion, his situation and Brock's are very different. Apples and Oranges.

Somebody needs to remind Steve there are QBs better than him that weren’t the runner he was. QB run is not necessary to move the football

Kyle didn't adjust to the Ravens in the second half and that's a problem when other teams play the same system. This year he needs to be able to adjust for it or we'll see the same results.

He is wrong about this- Purdy will be better with a healthy offseason and more experience and a better o-line, even more weapons, and a better secondary is the biggest key to the defense- the 49ers deserve to be the favorite this year.

It's going to be important that we draft/pay the right guys. You've gotta have a great defense if your offense isn't going to be as good and you've got to have great protection no more paying a shit ton for the RB or Receivers unless you've got that guy at receiver you can't just pay great players top dawg money.

Once the QB pay goes up the Team salary cap will most probably go up to anyway, if they were able to work Mahomes then hopefully Brock’s too. But the Niners hv superstars hopefully sone players are going to be like Juice.. Juice is kind of a Superstar too but he accepted a pay cut.. hopefully the players get their fair pay.

Baltimore did take the steam out of the Niners.

The Lyon Packers are peaking and the Niners are descending. It's just how the system works for teams and actually designed to work by the owners to keep the league to not have continual winners and losers.

This is Deebos last year as a niner. They simply can’t pay all these guys premium contracts and pay Purdy too in this highly inflated QB market now. Deebo is gone , Ward and maybe Kittle. Though I could see Kittle settling for less money to stay.. they aren’t signing Hufanga to big money either. He will walk in FA. Pearsall most likely was drafted as a cheap Deebo replacement this is also most likely Trent Williams final season, so that large contract will be off the books as well, bittersweet because they won’t be replacing what he brings anytime soon, at least not immediately. So the biggest cap room that will be cleared up, Trent Williams, Debo and probably Mooney Ward

Something tells me Purdy won’t sign a ridiculous contract of $50 million dollars. I’m looking in the $35 mill range

I didn’t hear any hypocrisy in Steve Youngs interview…..I heard him voicing an opinion from an experienced perspective…he was spot on with his assessment, and told it like it is….you may not like it or agree with it, but that doesnt make it hypocrisy

Are we back crying over spilled milk again?? First off we don’t need a lot of superstars we need the stars to align. Honestly I feel it’s just not ours. We only need really good players to step up when we need them. Steve gas always been opinionated it’s his right but no point in talking about this AGAIN!
