Why Steve Jobs Didn't Have A License Plate
Ғылым және технология
Steve Jobs was known for having many strange habits, one of which was not having a license plate on his car. And his reason for this is equally as strange.
In the state of California, there used to be a loophole where a new car could be driven without a permanent license plate for up to six months.
Jobs took advantage of this by leasing a new silver Mercedes-Benz every six months. Each time the lease term approached the six-month limit, he would return the car and lease an identical model.

Not just above the law, the Chosen One. Total delusions of grandeur.
It also helped his mythos. He needed to strike the right balance of his employees being scared of him but able to feel like they can be honest and have the drive to achieve their tasks. Having his own employees see every day proof that Jobs believed rules don't matter may have been part of his whole persona. The rules (i.e. conventions) didn't matter, only making the best products did. Following the rules almost bankrupt Apple under that Pepsi guy.
Seems like he was approaching Howard Hughes weirdness.
Please release a video on all the strange habits!
I worked as a motorcycle officer in Cupertino at the time. We were quite familiar with Jobs' car when we saw it on the road. One day my partner brought his iPhone to the store that's on the first floor of the main building and was getting off his bike when Steve Jobs walked up and asked him what could he do to help. He got the iPhone working the way it should for him. This being the 1st generation iPhone. I later worked at Apple in Global Security and was there when he passed.
