    always said this, kd is the more difficult and scarier player to guard individually due to his skill, talent and size. but since basketball is a team sport, steph is much scarier for the opposing team as a collective. his insane ability to shoot just make his passing, driving and finishing around the rim abilities even more difficult to guard, as evidenced by how the team fared when either one was out. honestly, kd is probably the most gifted and smoothest scorer ive ever seen, but when it comes to a game of 5vs5, stephs impact is greater.

    That’s I been saying Obviously if I’m playing 1 on 1 im taking kd all day I mean if I got Steph and Paul George 1 on1 I’m taking Paul George But if I’m playing 5v5 basketball when there’s 8 other people on the court it’s a whole different game but people don’t understand that Tyrone lue literally said Steph was the main threat on goldenstate and he was the main focus on defense If that doesn’t tell you Steph is better idk what does

    Finally someone who gets it. This is my new favourite video. My conclusion: KD is the better individual talent, but Curry is right behind stepping on his heels, even while being 10 inches shorter. That settles the "best player" debate. But when it comes to the "most valuable" player, Curry is the "head of the snake", in T. Lue's words.

  • @remnant8898

    @remnant8898

    If Curry is almost 10 inches shorter and does everything that KD does, and more efficiently, while making his teammates better, then Curry is the best player and most valuable.

  • @edclee1997
    @edclee19974 жыл бұрын

    Steph is more valuable because he's guarded more. He's trapped 4 feet outside the three point line and that's unheard of. KD is going to score because all he needs to do is jump over his defender and doubleteam is not going to help much, if at all. Also, we've all seen Steph in torch mode and he literally can score over the opposing team, and coaches will do everything to prevent that from happening.

    @Keenan Powell KD's stats in the playoff is the product of steph's value in playoff time.. while lebron letting durant calmly dribble and pull up for three for the win,steph is haunted by double team everywhere he goes..that is why there is no double team on kd to force him to pass or shoot extremely guarded

  • @jaycruz2885

    @jaycruz2885

    4 жыл бұрын

    @Keenan Powell ,you can tell what ever you want just to defend your point.. we never know what their gameplan for the whole season.. kd's average might be the same in regular and playoff exactly because of curry..we are talking about value here..ofcourse he can shoot with double team while curry is open,that's what make the difference between them..curry can locate you when you are open to give more problem on the other team if they should give him one on one or double him all the way..curry did win without kd..kd never won a single title without curry..again,we are not talking about who is better individually,we are talking about the value in the warriors system.. if curry's value doesnt effect kd's stats,then why kd's stats is much better when playing with curry than when he is still in OKC? Shall we ask westbrook?😅

    I just realized how much curry had impacted the nba. Started in nba in 2009 curry revolutionized the game. And as comparison... Curry...after 9yrs in nba got 3 rings Lebron..after 13yrs in nba got 3 rings Kobe...after 14yrs in nba got 5 rings Tim Duncan..after 17yrs in nba got 5 rings Mj...after 14yrs in nba got 6 rings. Curry's stop of harvesting rings was due to injury. With his leadership and scoring wit combined i believe he is already be considered as a hall of famer.

    going from 45% to 51% is not a 6% increase, it is 6 percentage points. Those 6 percentage points represent a 13% increase, similarly the 6 percentage points from 33% to 39% is an 18% increase because percent is a ratio not a counting stat (literally per cent or per 100 like per 36 minute stats vs counting numbers).

    the problem is that you have to defend him at half court already. that opens up the floor for the entire team and turns good looks into great looks for the other four players. Combine that with his off-the-ball movement where you still have to double team him and you raise the shooting percentage of your entire team.

    I'm glad to hear that someone agrees with me. None of the basketball "aficionados" at the local sports bar understand. I've been an NBA fan since the mid 50's. You name them, I've probably seen them in person. Cooz, West, Oscar, Baylor, Easy ED, and a lot they haven't even heard of. I don't care how high or far they can jump. I want to see how much better they make their team mates. Michael and the doctor made dunks from the foul line. Bill Russell did it 30 years earlier in a game, and he jumped over a defending player. You never see that one. Wilt was probably the best individual basketball player ever but he'll never be the greatest, because he didn't make his teammates better, and he played with some of the best, and still couldn't win.

    All you said is true... and Curry is a team player. Many players are trying to prove how great they are... and so they make decisions to show off. And, yeah, Steph makes some ridiculous shots.... but he makes a lot of those shot... and by doing so, opens up the floor for other players

    Steph curry is the millennium falcon in the last jedi. I thought I was imagining the cavs maintaining an off the ball double team on curry while giving durrant open layups. Like they were not going to let him have a chance. Honestly I wondered if they liked Kevin Durant and wanted to make him feel good. In 2015 I messaged Steph's aunt, my cousin, yes he's a distant cousin. But I asked if Im seeing things or is steph being treated like shaq on the block 40 feet from the basket. That still seems crazy to me.

    Here's an easy one. Let's take all the great players playing today...KD, Lebron Harden Gannis Kyrie....AD....Kawhi....What's their records against Steph and the Warriors...He's 3 - 1 against your GOAT...If Steph is 9th or 10th or in some cases not in the top 10 according to some! Why can't they beat him...Listen closely....If you haven't won and Chip or led your team to winning a chip then you can't be better then someone who has won 3....Oh I forgot we are in a new sports world where winning is secondary to Stats....

  • @UncleJrueForTue

    Kawhi has 3 rings with 3 teams(so whi mention him), LeBron and Kyrie got lucky against GS once and they cried to KD for help securing their finals wins, Harden is a choker as stats and film prove it(his numbers fall drastically), AD was on the Pels with a injured Boogie and yours truly as help against KD Warriors, and Giannis hasn't been in the finals ever. If you want to make a bad narrative, just brodcast more random names, stats, and clutchness or intangibles.

    @@UncleJrueForTue I mentioned Kawhi because he the only one you can say is even or has been better that against Steph...Kawhi only has two rings...Please inform me of the third ring and the third team he won it on! What bad narrative. Did you read what I wrote? My point was not many you can really say are better then Curry or got the best of him going head to head...All the guys you mentioned are said by some to be so much better that Steph...I'm saying prove it...Cried to KD...OH I get it now...You're on LeBron's Jock...Steph, Klay, Draymond, The Ball Boy...The Popcorn Vendor are 3-1 against The Chosen One....

Also I know it may suprise you since your a Golden State bandwagon who doesn't know any better, but I'm a Boston fan. A little advice for the future: Pull your head out of Ayesha's ass you might realize your using to many "......." while typing.

    hahahahahaha. KD may be valuable but you're in a Warriors system and Curry IS the Warriors. KD is enjoying the space being given to him by the gravity of Steph. True that KD is great 1v1 player but imagine him given so much space because of Steph. That's why KD and Steph pick n roll is suicide.
