What I’m hoping for is that in the next game Kata is trained by Cal and Merrin, becoming possibly the first wielder of standard force powers and force magik, passing on the legacy of both the Jedi and the Nightsisters. Then, we could possibly have a game set where Kata is a young adult where we get to play as her and use her combined abilities.

I'm hoping for cool head wear in the 3rd game. Bounty hunter helmets and cool Cad Bane style hats & whatnot. Plus more blaster options (gameplay wise)

Yeah they sold double the amount of copies that they sold for Fallen order (20 million versus 10 million) so a third game is definitely coming

i do also think they hinted at kata being force sensitive when she said cal didn’t work at the ISB base and he said she’s the only person to notice. so i 100% expect the story to be headed towards him as a mentor towards kata

Survivor did something that I didn’t think any Star Wars media would ever be capable of and made me want to see someone besides Luke as the Grand Master of the Jedi in the aftermath of the Empire’s defeat. In Cal, I see someone who would be more than capable of going on to lead a new generation of Jedi with everything he’s fought for, struggled through and earnt with all the old values of the Jedi combined with the experience and love he’s felt from those around him to help it grow and develop too. It’s for that reason that I think Cal will probably die in the third game as it’s the only way to get around the fact that these two Jedi can’t coexist at the same time while Luke and Cal never meet, and Cal isn’t around in the Sequel era. I hope it’s a good and satisfying death, but he’ll probably need to die all the same.

They can always end it with him being basically stuck on tanalorr with no way to get home (if the arrays stay damaged and the compass gets destroyed) for the original series, then can finish his story in the 20 odd years between 6-7 Gives them a whole bunch of time to do Jedi stuff (like meeting master Luke) if they want to make more games or even bring him into live action with Ahsoka etc

Wouldn't make any sense if all the sudden there has just been this faction of people hiding jedi away from the empire that no other jedi lile Luke would be able to sense them. They could make the way to tanalor be discovered and the way opened back open somehow but it for sure can just exist and be accessible in normal cannon thay would be weird

No, I don't think he needs to die, but something needs to happen to him to keep him outside the canon for the Skywalker Saga to finish. Introducing a planet that the Empire can't reach, then killing off Cal next game would be counterproductive. They literally just made a way to explain Cal's sideline state in the timeline so his death would be pointless.

It’s a good chance the next game might occur after RotJ. There is a legitimate reason to why he would not be around during the rebellion fighting the Empire. This entire game is about Cal walking away from the fight with the Empire. So him sitting out Luke, Leia and Han’s exploits during the OT.

I have a feeling that the next game will be called star wars jedi protector. Kata is probably force-sensitive and Cal will most likely train her. Cal will most likely die and pass his lightsaber to Kata.coming full circle in the story

I think Vader and Cal will fight in the final game, with Vader ultimately killing Cal in a duel. Kata will inherit one half of Cal/Jaro Tapal's Lightsaber and Kata will go on to carry Cal's legacy into the Sequel trilogy.

these starwars games is the only thing that keeps me with this franchise, I hope they continue with these awesome games

​@@christianturner1687 nope. While the choice would be interesting, these aren't that type of Games. They are very linear, because they want to tell one coherent compelling story

Things I want in the 3rd game: • More dark side abilities. Like force lightning, force choke, etc. It would be cool if they added something similar to what Anakin had in BF2 where he force chocked surrounding enemies. • An updated version of Cal's "Embrace the Darkness". If they decide to go the route of giving him force lighting, it would be cool if he radiated electricity, and if stormtroopers tried to run up and hit Cal they would get blown back. Dialing Cal's force abilities up by x2 would be awesome. • Being able to explore space. I think it would be cool if they have Greeze retire maybe a quarter of the way through and make it to where Cal has to fly his way through the galaxy. Instead of the holo table, we just approach a planet and it will give you the option to enter hyperspace. • More side missions with actual story narratives would be sick. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful they added the rumors to the game. But I think they are definitely lacking. A lot of room for improvement. • They need to add actual lightsaber forms to the game. Not all of them, just like 4 or 5 of them. Make it to where Cal finds different ancient journals around the galaxy giving a guide to how to wield the forms. And of course, the more you use them, the more powerful they'll be. And maybe even a Ghost of Tshumia-type thing where different forms work better for different enemies. • Expand upon Cal and Merrin's relationship, and give them a decent ending. I am so sick and tired of how Star Wars couples always have to end in sadness. If Ezra and Ashoka can outlive the reign of the Empire, why can't Cal and Merrin? It's Respawn writing it, not Disney, so I'm fairly certain we will get this. • Optional companions that follow you throughout the entirety of each planet. It was cool that we got Merrin as a companion, but it was annoying that she was only available in a small area of Jeddah. • I want the ability to cherry-pick who can accompany you on the Mantis, with Merrin being the only one that's a permanent Mantis crew member. (Maybe they can say at this point in the story she has fallen for Cal so much that she can't imagine a world without him. So if he dies, she dies.) Things I DON'T want in the 3rd game: • A GoW ripoff. I do not want Kata to be a playable character. It just doesn't make sense. More likely than not, the time jump won't be any more than like a year or two, so Kata will be at most 11 years old. She would've gotten only a few years of on-and-off part-time training. There is no way Cal is going to let Kata accompany him on the battlefield. If they were to do something like this, it'll make more sense for it to be Merrin. • Vader. I feel like he shouldn't make another appearance. He has played his part in the series, and I think they should just focus on another antagonist in the Star Wars universe to make a little cameo appearance. Storyline-wise, he honestly will be focusing more on finding and killing Kenobi for the next 9 years instead of trying to kill Cal. • I don't want the game to be as Empire-focused. They need to stray further from that narrative. Of course, the Empire will be a big part of the game, but it won't be the main focus of the game. We need to see Cal struggling with his darkness, and straying even further away from the path of the Jedi, as well as his quest for contacting the Hidden Path and making Tanalorr their safe haven from the Empire. • Cal becomes an inquisitor and falls to the dark side completely. Like, come on. The most idiotic thing they could do. With how much hatred Cal has for the Empire, it makes no sense for him to decide to join them. It would just be a copy of Anakins story. Really unoriginal if they go that route. I will come back to this post in 3-4 years and see how much of this they actually added.

Things I wish to see in the next game: -reorganise how the push and pull ability works because it takes to much place, I believe it does not allow us to learn even more force skills -Cal learning force lightning not the sith version, but the one Plo koon used as well -Cal learning to see into the future just like Sifo-dyas / have visions about Vader and Luke like Starkiller had -Cal fighting with Vader minimum once but not like in the fallen order where you have to run for your dear life -Cal learning the fighting style Starkiller used (hold the lightsaber behind you) -I wish that Cal meets Obi-wan or Ahsoka or even Ahsoka somewhere along the way -I can only suspect thath the developers have zero interest in telling something about Cal's past before he became a padawan or the member of the order but I would love to see him finding the place where he was born or even his parents if they are still alive -I want more talk during the fights -Moreover about Vader. I believe Vader could give him a onetime offer about becoming his apprentice since Cal was touched by the dark side multiple times during the game

Jedi Master sounds fire

I'd prefer if Cal rather takes on the role as a substitute father or big brother instead of a master.

I would like to see a more drawn out story for the third game. It would be a big change from the first two game which were isolated in a fairly short time span of when their events were set, but seeing as that we need to see Cal grow further towards the levels of a master, mentor a young Kata in the force, continue the work of the hidden path on Tanalor, etc. I feel like instead of taking one big time jump again, they could space out a much longer story that takes place over a handful of years. It would allow more time to see Kata grow older and learning to be a hedi, Cal growing older and learning to be a mentor and continue towards becoming a master of the force and his connection to the dark side, the group building up their new home on Tanalor, and exploring the galaxy to help continue the hidden path and provide refuge from the empire on Tanalor.

Never thought I would see a star wars game with a better story than KOTOR but Jedi Survivor blew me away. It's my favorite star wars game ever.

I hated bode and was not expecting vader the twist of bode being a jedi with CAL EMBRACING TH DARKNESS MADE ME CREAM

Don't worry I'm sure Cal will find another Jedi who has a plan for then to get away and be free all they'll need is one last big score.

I think we'll definitely get a third and possibly final game, at least for Cal's story, as we may get a fourth that covers another Jedi (maybe). But I am curious if we'll get more content for Survivor, expansions, and such, I know we didn't get that with Fallen Order. However, Survivor feels..... different and that there could be a lot more they could do with such a game. Of course, Fallen Order was a bit of a prototype with RESPAWN, and I guess EA too, but Survivor was created clearly with confidence from the studio and so I feel that we may very well get a lot more content for Survivor before the third installment comes out..... likely, in 2027, if things go to plan. (It's 4 years between Fallen Order and Survivor's release, so I used that as a guideline of sorts.) I do have my own idea for the title of the next instalment, and that is Jedi: Exile or Exiles.

I loved this game and can not wait for the 3rd installment! That said, Jedi Survivor has crashed on me more than Skyrim used to when I played it on my garbage gaming laptop with 500 mods installed

My hope for the 3rd game is that it maybe jumps ahead to ABY and we see an older Cal

I don't. Disney have not handled the shows and films well so far at all, keep Cal separate and in the hands of Respawn

I see a lot of people (who have no clue what it is to work in software development) talk about 5 games (if I'm not mistaken) being a short amount in a span of 10 years. I've got news for ya: game development is lot more difficult now than it used to be 10/15 years ago. We're all demanding the best graphical fidelity possible as well as the best game design possible. That comes at a cost. Yes, EA has a lot of studios. But still, 5 games is very good. And no, I'm not an EA shill. They f'd it up with BFII, but still that game had its merits even at launch.

SPOILER The only thing I now think needs to be in the next game is a third Vader duel. And while Cal can’t outright win against Darth Vader, I do think he should be able to get the upper hand and escape knowing that he was actually able to inflict damage on him. It would be the perfect culmination of his story, going from only being able to run away against this formidable enemy, to Cere inflicting some damage even if dying in the process to Cal finally able to get some kind of revenge for himself and the Jedi against the one most responsible for their downfall.

I am worried whether he'd survive or not. After all, he's absent throughout the sequels and future media, which could mean he never survived, or they're reserving Cal's character in other Star Wars media until the trilogy has concluded. I am hoping for the latter. However, he's gotta lose what makes him a Jedi in order for the continuity of "The Last Jedi" to make sense.

Saw someone say this in another comment but he could get stuck on tanalor and the way home be blocked so that could explain why no one could sense him or any other young jedi he finds before getting stuck. The way to tanalor could be re discovered again and they could find an older cal that way

I do really hope Kata lives and we see her meet the likes of luke,Asohka,Leia,Solo etc.

If they do make a 3rd game better be optimised had to get a ps5 to play this game decently which is a shame considering its soo good at its core

What I want from the next game would be him to be a master for kata and he would be attempting to protect his family from the empire and give the player the choice to use the dark side which would make the game easier or you can go against it with different consequences for the players choices. Also cause it would be cool I want cal and Merrin to have a kid cause a Jedi/night sister hybrid would be interesting

I just recently finished the story and I avoided using the dark side at all except when demanded by the game. And even then, I didn't actually fight with it, I just waited it out. But from your gameplay clips, it seems quite strong! Not sure if I'll stick to my ideals when I play in grandmaster lol

They have already said it was a trilogy....

The enemies will be the Empire and the Haxion Brood.

It’ll interesting to see where they go because they tied it in with actual canon. Like what exactly does he end up doing and does he turn to the dark side and get killed? The first order rose to power after the Luke disappeared and presumably they never met each other so it’s curious what exactly is gonna happen. I mean obviously they weren’t taking this game into account when they made the new movies so it is what it is. Either way it’ll be cool to see where they take it

I think the biggest pot in problem is that no matter what Cal's story is just it's just going to suck you can't have him restore the Jedi order that conflicts with the movies you can't beat vader in a fight that also conflicts with a lot of things. But it set down the original trilogy I was so I guess that automatically makes it good I'm starting to think Star Wars should have been off movie. Now that I'm older I can actually just say the prequels about cool as a kid just it's just all the flashiness episode 5 and 6 mediocre-at-best they just had more of a budget to make it look better.

I would LOVE if the third game is Jedi: Traitor. Where the weight of trying to keep things afloat gets to be too much for him and he turns full dark over time and he slaughters MANY leftover Jedi and then gets killed by one at the end of the game, maybe the daughter, maybe even Obi-Wan lol he doesn't factor into the Resistance because he's not Light Side at the time they rise.

I am slightly amused that Lord Continuity Enforcer personally turned up to the base on Jedha. Did Ani personally know Cere (pre Fallen Order I mean)? Or were the Empire under the impression that there would be TWO Jedi Masters there so Baggy Grampa ordered him there (Bode's Force Echo just sounded like he just said Jedi were there)? My weird hopes for the third game are that Kata somehow learns the ways of Jedi and Nightsisters and also Cal learns the ways of the Grey Jedi (I just think it'd be neat to finally have a Force User protag has a complete well rounded relationship with the self and the Force). Also spot on with the Turgle jokes 🤣

There is no such thing as a Grey jedi. It's either he falls entirely or he overcomes the darkside like Cere.

Calling it here first folks, 3rd Jedi game will feature an older Cal and Kata and Kata becomes Cal's pseudo apprentice Cal falls to the dark side and will redeem himself by saving his crew by sacrificing himself while fighting the Empire, and a new game will feature Kata and the whole sha bang restarts.

I think that we will be playing as Kata in third game because this game made Cal so powerful that I can't even think how he can be upgraded in next game. We might even jump to time after Original Trilogy to Mandalorian Era. She would be 22 years old then so almost same age as Cal when we started playing this game.

The games are suppose to revolve around Cal and his journey, so I doubt they’ll replace him as the protagonist. In terms of his power and abilities, there’s always room for improvement. When we played as cere we were practically melting through enemies. I would imagine they’ll introduce abilities like force lighting, vapaap, and maybe even star killers force repulse like we saw in force unleashed II.

I just finished the game and I think it’s brilliant. Loved every second of it. It is a very good example of how to make a sequel game. saying this i still can’t believe it was published by Electronic Arts 😅 I mean yes it has / had performance issues and yes you can be upset about that but I don’t get the people rating this game with 0/10 (e.g. on metacritic) just because of its performance. Besides this it has a brilliant story and fun gameplay both of which expands on what was built in Fallen order.

Aight so. My thing is from the ending of Jedi survivor. I’ve gathered that Jedi 3 will entail kata as the game’s subject in a way I watched Star Wars theory’s video and he suggests that it’ll be a 2 playable character game and a move from cal to kata story similar to god of war and holy fuck I hope not that’s pretty close to being the last thing I want. The Jedi story is about cal these 2 games have been the perfect piece of Star Wars media in so long. Idk how the story adapts from here as you can’t make a 3rd game of cal working a 9-5 running the hidden path which is spoken in game to be the plan but obviously that won’t be smooth sailing and what happens completely my guess with Jedi 3 anyway is that cal becomes Kara’s cere junda but in my opinion needlessly making kata a jedi or a force user is a stupid idea training her just is such a boring unnecessary and obviously choice of direction let kata be kata I guess make her role similar to omega’s in bad batch again idfk just not the whole master student thing bc ofc what becomes of that is cal is gonna be a flawed master due to his journey being stripped of his own masters multiple times and also with the dark side cal has been delving in. I just think it would be nice if Jedi 3 doesn’t involve the over used plot of main character finds young subject to train in the force but it’ll probably be the direction the game goes in im not gonna talk about the flaws I think Jedi survivor had as a story and why I think fallen order’s story was better bc I think survivor was a great game and despite the flaws of its story it was still a good story I guess but Jedi 3 I think needs to be more like fallen order the empire in survivor felt like a 3rd in line of enemy/antagonist subject like they were just in the background of the game like the 3 main bosses and the bedlam raiders were the main problem in Cal and crew’s experience like it made the empire feel irrelevant made them feel like by standers for how much cal and everyone talked about the empire the empire felt like the victims of Jedi survivor you encountered the empire by going onto their turf Jedi fallen order empire was on every map except dathomir like yes in Jedi survivor if you look for the empire on free roam on maps you’ll find them but in the story you constantly felt like the empire was the big hump I understand Jedi survivor was supposed to be about cal moving away from his constant fight against the empire but the way the empire of portrayed in all other Star Wars media like let’s say the kenobi show they were constantly ruining everything I just wish the empire didn’t seem like a bunch of mall cops in survivor

I’m on the fence with expecting Kata to be force sensitive. It does present more issues than not having yet another force sensitive in the franchise- does she join Luke’s new Jedi order? If so what happens to her in the events leading up to the sequels, and where is she? If she is force sensitive and doesn’t join the order, how with that be presented in the narrative? I feel like Cal can still be a mentor to Kata without giving her force powers, so he can still play that role in the final game without creating more issues. But I wouldn’t be surprised if they do make her force sensitive, I just feel like there’s room for this to play out differently.

Idk how I feel about this, obviously I want a third game, and I know there will be one but I feel like if they end of cals journey in the third game it will feel so short and uneventful. Plus gameplay wise I think this series still needs to grow because for some reason everyone praises the “satisfying combat” when it’s really just flashy and not actually mechanically satisfying or in the core gameplay model being very confused on what it’s trying to be. And I think there needs to be more games to find this games identity for gameplay sort of like how the god of war series did it

I feel like Star Wars: Jedi 3 could be Star Wars: Jedi Padawan. That or Cal could possibly struggle some more with the dark side to the point of learning force lightning.

It being called Jedi: Padawan wouldn't really make too much sense. Cal is obviously straying away from the title of Jedi, so I doubt he will be teaching Kata in the ways of the Jedi. Imo I think Jedi: Exile would be much more fitting because the next game will probably end with Cal retiring and exiling himself and his family on Tanalorr. But I love the idea of Cal battling his darkness and learning force lighting.

Before that happens hope respawn makes dlc for jedi survivor

The simple reason why Survivor is not the end.... is that Respawn already confirmed that it's gonna be a trilogy

The story was fantastic, but honestly, I think we should just leave it where it is. Lightning striking is rare, twice is rarer, thrice nearly impossible. I think we should leave the story where it is, chances are that’s not what we will get, but personally, I’d just enjoy giving cal his happy ending, Tanalorr achieved, Merrin, Greez, Kata and BD-1 all fine, the Death Star soon to be destroyed, Cal eventually calming his dark side. That sort of thing. I enjoyed survivor and loved fallen order, but I think we should leave it where it is.

I think a happy ending for them is inevitable even if they make a third game. It seems there following the OT formula. In the first game, they had a happy ending, in survivor the ending wasn't necessarily bad, but there was a lot of sadness with a plethora of hope (Much like Empire Strikes Back). And in the third game, I predict we will get a Return of the Jedi type ending (Maybe with a little bit of attack of the clones sprinkled in there) where they successfully contact the hidden path and they have a huge celebration of the fact that they've created a safe haven hidden from the empire where survivors and force sensitives alike live their glory years on. And the attack of the clone's part would be that Cal and Merrin get a wedding ceremony in the last scene of the game, setting up a second trilogy revolving around their offspring. Honestly, they would be fools to give up the opportunity to make a third game.

Cal will go dark or use the dark side because of maybe someones or many deaths in the third. Merrin will probably die and maybe Greez. Cal will lose it or maybe BD, which will also make us lose it like Cal.

Ok so we know that Luke is the last jedi by Return of the Jedi: Kanan is dead, Ezra's disappeared probably at the Chiss home planet so not in the remote galaxy and Ahsoka is not a jedi anymore. So that leaves Cal and Kata(who is very likely force sensitive. So we have three options. A. Cal dies and Kata lives the rest of her life in Tanalorr away from the galaxy. B. Cal and Kata die so no jedi. C. Or both Cal and Kata die and live out the rest of their life on Tanalorr. So those are the options if none of those happen then it kinda messes up the continuity unless there is a fourth game explaining where Cal was during the OT

Or Cal could reject the rigidness of the Jedi order and lose the title like Ashoka did.

@@triadwarfare One of the main plot points of the game was Greez and Bode telling Cal to settle down, the third game could be how he settles down. I mean Bode did it and had a daughter. And the game will be about Cal not making the same mistakes as his ancestors did.

It's supposed to be a trilogy, but I'm still waiting for Half Life 3.

If they wanted to build TONS of hype for the next game, call it Jedi Unleashed and have a final inquisitor as a new version of Starkiller as the big bad, sort of like a dark mirror of Cal's potential like Dagan and Trilla were
