Why sport touring?

Спорт

Random video of me ripping around on my zzr600 talking about why I like the sport touring class and why you definitely should consider one for your next bike purchase!

Got an 08’ ZZR600 as a daily rider. I absolutely love it. Doing some mods but it’s fun stock. I also have a CBR 1000 set up for track days and hard mountain road rides.

The beauty of it as you mentioned is the same power/similar as 600 super sport and because of the label you get the cheaper insurance. I had one from 2011-2016 in crimson red and it was easy to ride the crap out of without fear of the tire coming loose in a corner. I had pilot power's on mine then pilot power 3's. I could actually out corner buddy's on the twisties even though they had bigger motors. One thing though I have disagree with you on the ZX-6 and ZZR 600 are exactly the same and are both okay for a beginner rider. This was my first street bike🤷 But I raced outdoor motorcross for 4 year's, all though I don't see how that would matter because the steering concepts are completely different and control of the motorcycle is completely drifting and spinning and add soaring over jump's through the air for 45-75 ft.

I recently got one of these (2004 model in silver also) for free from my dad, his old bike which has sat around for years, he is getting on and has bought a cruiser. A decent service and it runs alright, but debating whether to spend some money fixing it up properly (really needs a carb sync and tune up, perhaps some new fork oil/upgraded springs and shock to make it better for myself as a heavy guy) or to sell it as is and put the money into something a bit more modern, at least with fuel injection so I don't need to worry about it sitting around during winter as much lol. It definitely doesn't sound as smooth as yours through the revs so maybe worth fixing up and keeping, because I feel that it these will turn into something of a classic in a few more years. Decisions decisions.

Nice review. I used to have one of these. And I did long tours on it, sometimes 700-800 miles in a day. Yeah that’s a little long but you can do it. Be physically fit and take breaks to keep comfortable.

Personally, i'd appreciate if the camera could be mounted a bit higher. The screen is blocking a lot of the view. Awesome video though! Have the same bike :)

The ZZR-600 in this video is a design that pre-dates the ZX-6R by a few years. It’s a ZX-600E which came out in 1993 and reintroduced a few years later as the ZZR.
