I came from Smash (Melee) to Multiversus, it feels much more comfortable than SSBU. SSBU feels very sluggish, and that is exemplified online with the horrid delay.

I didn’t grow up on Melee but I’ve played. The first smash game I owned was Brawl so Ultimate didn’t feel sluggish to me at all. But I get the only being delayed. Always prefer offline with friends

I think a lot of the characters are cool in this game like Rick and Morty, Black Adam, and Jason. I’m curious how Agent Smith plays. But I do agree that this game is a lot slower.

Yeah those characters are cool but haven’t grind this game enough to afford more than one character 🤣 I might buy Black Adam but I am also curious about Agent Smith. The Matrix is my favorite movie.

This game is like Melee in the sense that, if you don't know how to exploit the movement mechanics then it will be "slow" (think of Melee with no movement tech). But once you know how to move in the game it'll be faster

I’d say give the game more time. You’re playing bad people and you’re not 100% playing the game right. Try to refrain from spamming dodge everytime you miss a move & don’t be aggressive, a lot of ppl (as you’ve seen) love dodging so when you think you have an opening just wait and bait out the dodge

I wanna like this game but theres something about the animations i don't like. I think its the micro pause after hits or something. Maybe sound effects too? All i know is something is off. Smash feels more satisfying. Kinda floaty too.

Yeah it is like it is missing some transition animations like doing a move to getting hit. It snaps from one position to another rather than smoothly transition. But yeah I can’t put my finger on it.

For me it’s the way it feels. Too floaty like we’re playing on Zero Gravity.

I never played super smash bros but I like multiversus. Only thing I hate is in the beta it was much faster on hits etc but they switched stuff around and it feels so slow now… Other than that I don’t mind it 😭🤷🏽‍♀️. But all I gotta say is Banana guard, superman, shaggy and tom and jerry annoying to go against 💀.

Never played Smash Bros?! 😳 Well I guess that makes sense. If you don’t have anything to compare it to then it is decent game. I agree, the Beta was faster. This update is tooo slow. I do like that MultiVersus has potential for a dope roster because of all the IPs they own.

If you have a Switch, Super Smash Bros is a must have IMO but does cost money and price probably never went down 😂 And yeah I enjoy Multiversus more if I play with friends but I think for now I’m good

@@NDOvert My switch barely gets played lol only when I’m playing with friends usually or family. But yeah unfortunately Im not a big fan of it just because most games that I want never go on sale and Nintendo stays money hungry with games especially big titles so that’s my biggest pet peeve.

I have over 2000 hours in ultimate and I prefer multiversus because of the 2v2 focus. 2v2 is the way the game is meant to be played.

Multiversus is way more fun to play and to watch rather than super smash and the customization to make everything feel more personal/personalized than smash bros

I def wouldn’t say it’s more fun to play/watch but it has the potential to be

I genuinely prefer almost all other plat fighters to ultimate. The new ones add all these cool features and aspects to the game. But as the blueprint to the genre, it feels so bland to me.

Hopefully the new Smash iteration (if they make one) explores new mechanics that can make it exciting for players. For me, smash still feels the most polished with movement and the kills are satisfying.
