Men CHOOSE who to marry but i don't think that makes it any easier than women selecting from among their suitors. As a man you still have to select who likes you (not just who you like alone) from among the ladies you meet, i ve seen young men get really hurt by ladies. As a young man of early 30's i discovered that the journey is not as easy as they make it seem. People ask you What are you waiting for?.. As though you can just walk into the market and buy a wife like foodstuff. But however I've learnt a lot from Pastor K and wife over the years. God bless you sir.

@Kyran, I get your perspective but you seem to misunderstand the message. It's about roles, the male is to do the chasing and proposal, the female is to do the attraction, acceptance or rejection. In other words, marriage can only start with the MAN's proposal. You get? Two reasons why it's difficult for men of these days to get married is women are now multi dating like men used to do, increasing her pool, so men are receiving breakfast equally (this is a lengthy discussion). Second reason is Men's of marriageable age will not propose to the right woman. What they are looking for in a woman is ridiculous, their taste is too high, at the end of the day, they get served breakfast.

The most important thing is to Marry RIGHT and not just to marry EARLY. There are alot of people who married early and later regretted doing so. Everybody's journey in life is different. Some of the great men in the Bible like Joseph and Isaac didn't marry in their Early 20s.....

Exactly. Marrying early has worked for some, but I've also known several people that divorced as well. Marriage is the second most important decision we make after our relationship with Jesus Christ. If we get that wrong, then other areas are bound to fall apart too .

It's not easy for our generation, especially if your parents are not financially well off and if you have siblings to support financially...you have to go beyond and above before your finances allow you to even consider marriage...I don't think it's fair to compare us to wealthy western countries, the struggle is real in africa.

These cultural pressures are not helpful either. Why should someone miss out on a good partner because of responsibilities to siblings? It's a good thing to look after one's family but not to their detriment. We need to find a better way of balancing these things.

Well, at 28 I broke up 10 years relationship, may be I assumed I was in a relationship but wasn't making sense along the way. But I never had an opportunity to marry early. Being happy is key. Before taking another responsibility. It is well. Thanks for your teaching pastor Kingsley.

In developed countries, marriage is often between ages 19&25. The age range common to Nigerians is determined by environmental factors. It doesn't make the early ages wrong. At 18, they have a job, housing is sorted, education is almost done because at 22/23 master's is in the bag, there is a regular income flow, so early marriage isn't a big deal to these people.

At age 19, no man regardless of your financial status or stability, is yet to figure out what he wants.. Sir I really love your teachings so so much.....so real and powerful.... sometimes I have to go back to hear some words again......... thanks for being a blessing to this generation.... I have a question.....what advice would you give to a female medical doctor who is single but has only those below her economic status coming to her for marriage

She should pray about it and If it's the will of God, her economic status is nothing. The will of God comes with interruption.

She should try to level up. Be confident, speak well, be personable. Pay attention to dressing and grooming. Be around the kind of men she would like to be married to (church, conferences etc). What about her male classmates? Colleagues at work? Nothing wrong with showing a man you're interested, if he doesn't chase you no worries, just move on. Know your worth, being a female physician is prestigious. Good luck!

economic status, in terms of money right?? if that is so... I think it isn't enough reason to turn them down... you just need a man who has wisdom, leader not a ruler, hardworking, God-fearing with the fruit of The spirit in terms of character and pray for God's leading, he must be visionary....... although some men can't lead you because they are after your money... once they asking for your money then be careful... understand that they are only coming for your money... let him spend in the relationship... he should be a provider and understand his role as a provider... check the way he treats others around him, don't judge his character based on how he treats you but how he treats others....

I think a woman in such a position should primarily focus on the other aspects of her needs. If a man matches 98% of what you are looking for and he’s making just a little below what you make, why would you sacrifice the possibility of a beautiful and fulfilling marriage because he doesn’t make as much or above? I know we have been conditioned as women to search men who make more than us but sometimes the one who doesn’t is where your fulfillment will be. Just pray and ask God for direction when every suitor comes around. Focusing on suitors who make more than you will be an opening the devil will use to bring an Ahab into your life. And the present income a man makes at the moment you meet his doesn’t determine the future we all he can generate? What are his goals? What is his vision?
