WHEN TO BE SILENT 1. Be silent - in the heat of anger. 2. Be silent - when you don't have all the facts. 3. Be silent - when you haven't verified the story. 4. Be silent - if your words will offend a weaker person. 5. Be silent - when it is time to listen. 6. Be silent - when you are tempted to make light of holy things. 7. Be silent - when you are tempted to joke about sin. 8. Be silent - if you would be ashamed of your words later. 9. Be silent - if your words would convey the wrong impression. 10. Be silent - if the issue is none of your business. 11. Be silent - when you are tempted to tell an outright lie. 12. Be silent - if your words will damage someone else's reputation. 13. Be silent - if your words will damage a friendship. 14. Be silent - when you are feeling critical. 15. Be silent - if you can't say it without screaming. 16. Be silent - if your words will be a poor reflection of your friends and family. 17. Be silent - if you may have to eat your words later. 18. Be silent - if you have already said it more than one time. 19. Be silent - when you are tempted to flatter a wicked person. 20. Be silent - when you are supposed to be working instead. *"WHOEVER GUARDS HIS MOUTH AND TONGUE KEEPS HIM SELF OFF TROUBLE Get more on my channel

Very welll said and totally agree! Never wise to share too much, or dominate every conversation, but communication plays an important role in learning, growth, forming bonds, resolving conflict or just sharing ideas and expressing oneself. If silence solved everything, we'd all be mimes. Not sure that a silent version of this video would have the same impact on getting the point across to viewers.

The key thing he says in this is “you can use silence to APPEAR more powerful. Silence is a fear tactic and draws attention to yourself. Whether that’s negative or positive, you still draw attention when you don’t speak. A lot of people including myself never realized just how powerful it is. It can cause people to overthink. Especially your loved ones. So be careful who you choose to politely ignore. Lol.

Silence is a great tool when negotiating, I've learned that silence allows you to watch people better, and see their true intentions, once I realize a persons true intentions then I speak up, that way two scenarios will happen. First, they will feel that you have the upper hand and what they have to offer cannot compete. Second, you allow them to discredit you therefore allowing them to make the decision you already were aware of. Conclusion, make sure you are confident when negotiating, and that you can back up your claims with evidence. Take Care.

I will make sure to follow these advices. I bought the 48 laws of power by Robert Greene and I'm currently reading it. I acknowledge that I possess a lot more information and skills than most people. And talking about many things can often make me look like a "know-it-all" or an "arrogant" person. And it doesn't benefit neither me, nor the people I talk to. As a wise man once said: "If you are the smartest person in the room, then you are in the wrong room". We should speak selectively, some ideas should not be shared with everyone (due to a variety of reasons). Instead we should remain silent until we find the right person to talk to about an idea or opinion. I must improve the way I communicate and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Overall, excellent video, it will certainly help many people.

Something I've noticed about being naturally quiet is that I can easily learn who actually wants to hear my thoughts on something. There are people who notice your silence and will ask you your opinion. I always like talking to those people, if sincere, because they have shown observation and interest in the real me.

If sincere is the key phrase because some people want to know so bad the thoughts of a quiet or silent person that they will pretend to be sincere just to get the quiet or silent person to share their thoughts and more. Also, being silent is powerful because it causes those with evil intentions to feel guilty, to worry and feel insecure

Thank you for this overdue video. The more modern the world becomes, the more loud it becomes. Only in silence you can hear your soul, your inner self. Practice to wake up in the morning, open your window and just listen to the world. This is a great practice for awareness, greatfulness of being alive and a humble thank you for being able to breath, live and love. The Dalai Lama once said: When you talk, you only pass on, what your already know. But when you listen, you might learn something new.

People take all kinds of liberties with me. They often say to me “you’re so quiet” when all I’m doing is sitting there minding my business. I wouldn’t dream of saying “you talk so much” to a person (just like they say “you’re so skinny” and I couldn’t imagine saying “you’re so fat” to anybody.) When you’re naturally observant and you simply quietly take life in, it’s really amazing the things people feel very free to say.

Hi! I'm someone who talks a lot. I'm emotionally, psychologically, spiritually strong that certainly possess a powerful feminine personality with a vulnerable slant. But I'm actually an ambivert. I have no problem being silent or talking much. I always say what I think and feel. It is important to me to say what I think and feel. Well, that's just me, transparent, uninhibited, free, and open. That doesn't mean I can't be trusted if I talk too much. I don't have to prove my worth and value to anyone. Only that I love to speak up my mind as I am free-spirited. I am just fine being me. Nothing can harm my vulnerability for being vocal as I am not afraid of rejection. I have nothing against being silent. Only that I am free and I am good and happy for who I am. Bad people can say what they have to say against me. I just don't care and don't mind. Lol. The bottom line is that I am a freedom fighter and I am happy for who I am and for telling my truth. Glad, I am able to develop great ORAL SKILLS. I can manage to talk about anything without harming and sabotaging my own self (familiarity breeds contempt, I'm not afraid, nothing to hide. Lol) when I am with big-time or ordinary people. I'm just not born intimidated by whoever they are. There's no stopping me from talking and communicating. Hehe... Thank you. Peace!
