Why Should You Avoid Plastic Water Bottles?

The plastic materials that water bottles are made of include some chemicals that may cause endocrine disruption. Health risks are also involved in storing and drinking water in plastic bottles due to toxic effects and chemical contamination from plastics. These chemicals include bisphenol A and phthalates. These chemicals can leach out of the plastic bottles into the water we drink!

Especially water increasingly only available in plastic bottles. Plastic bottles are not good for long time storage, especially for fizzy drinks. The CO² is going to leak from the plastic botles. Which is why products have a shorter use before date than the same product in a glass bottle.

We used to keep water in plastic bottles in the refrigerator 60 years ago. When I complained that the water taste funny, mother just poopooed the notion. I started drinking the water directly from the tap until I got to Europe where I started drinking bottled water. I think the taste came from the added floride in the water and cold eating at the container and making the bottle "bleed".

The answer is they are hazardous to your health. They contain phalates and BPA and when you heat them in the microwave the heat produces condensation underneath the film not the outside and the chemicals leach out of the film and fall from the inside into the food below the film and you ingest the chemicals with the food.

My question is, when you say “bottled water” are you including all soda products such as Coke, Pepsi, fruit juices, medicine Kool-Aid, . . The list goes on & on & on & on. One year eggs are good for you, next year it’s bad for your health. Perhaps we should return to an agricultural society when we grew our own food and got water from a well . . . Unless the water itself is causing cancer. Huuum?🤔

Got it Doc. #1 - don't eat anything. ☑ #2 - don't drink any water in plastic containers. ☑ #3 - don't go outside. Because of potential exposure of the following. Micro plastics in the air; pollution; harmful chemicals in nearby industrial areas; etc. ☑

Physicians should be scientifically trained and able to make unbiased interpretations based on the preponderance of data and the quality of the investigations that generate that data. The preponderance of data on BPA simply does not support your inferences here. I know this based on 34 years of R&D & Quality Assurance experience in the food industry with no dog in this hunt. I was free and even encouraged to examine the data and conclude whatever I honestly thought the data supported. You’re cherry-picking studies and letting mob-think bias skew your conclusions. It’s so very sad to see this from someone with such potential. Unsubscribing as this casts a shadow over everything else you post.
