I'm so glad you made this video! As much as I love and adore our Shih Tzu rescue girl, and as much as our family has fallen head over heels in love with her (we created a KZread channel because of our love for her!), I have to say that I think this video is super important for anyone to watch if they are considering this wonderful, beautiful and very special breed! You've raised such good points to consider and factor in. I spend hours brushing and combing Sadie Grace's hair every week. Shih Tzu hair is definitely high needs! And the stubborn streak....we call it her being "cute"!!! But there is truth to that too! Our girl had a traumatic past so she is a velcro dog and then some! She wants to be with me at all times! I wouldn't trade her for the world and she is the best thing that has happened to our family, but this breed is definitely not for everyone. 💞

Unfortunately my shih tsu isn’t with me anymore but he was the best dog I ever had. Very stubborn and lazy, a pain for food and wary of strangers 😂 He didn’t mind, well not too much, of taking a bath but only if it was done by me. Took him to the groomer only twice… both of them asked me never to go back because he was biting them too much. I just laughed because at restaurants and friends’ houses he always behaved as a little prince! I miss him so much 😢

Pudge was the best until she passed. I miss her so much! By the way, she loved her groomer, it was her "spa" day!

I have a Shih tzu and it’s the most adorable things I ever had the one how is with me when I am sad. Because when owning a pet is a commitment because not only shih tzu but other dogs need to be loved and cared and have in mind that having a dog will change our life in a good way
