Once a muslim asked me to speak with him in private after I made a lot of jokes (not nice ones tbh). He politely asked me to stop because in islam you can’t be friends with someone who mocks you constantly. Out of respect I stopped saying jokings about islam. Tbh these guys I know (muslims) are literally the most respectful people I’ve ever known. No joke they took care of me when my car got stolen and when I got fired of my job they gave me a place to sleep for literally 7 months. They made me dinner and breakfast and were very sad the day I left. Thanks to these muslims I’ve learned so much about respect, hospitality, religion & brotherhood. Now im a Muslim after all these years

But I don't think that's what comedians are trying to do. I'm a Muslim man. I teach my Western mane friends to relax, be human, hug, express their love. These are the teachings of Islam. I think westerner men are becoming trans because they aren't allowed to show emotions.

His friends told him to stop making fun of something important to them. They didn’t say not to ask questions about it or agree with it. And honestly? That’s men that respect themselves. And it’s nice he took their boundaries seriously and decided their friendship was worth more than silly jokes. This was very wholesome actually.

As a muslim I say don't make fun of anyone's religion. You can speak about anything but you need to be respectful. Making fun and mocking I mean think about it. You're making fun of the most beloved thing of someone. At least that is what's most important and beloved for us. So even when you're correct and even when you can be very blunt and straight up about something you need to take into consideration that you might hurt the other person or offend them and a decent human being would wanna avoid that.

Of course, people are allowed to critique Islam and its ideals and values, there are thousands of videos just here on KZread alone that showcase both those who are critical of the faith, as well as those refuting the arguments against Islam. Not to mention the millions upon millions of articles either criticizing Islam or defending it, as well as the plethora of debates happening between Muslims and others of a different belief or faith. All of those are done peacefully and respectfully (even though I do admit there are a few Muslims out there who give us a bad name now and then). As for the blasphemy laws you've mentioned, they were put specifically in place to prevent any sort of disrespect towards our prophet (pbuh) and Allah (SWT). But I do understand your concerns as if right now there are many Middle Eastern countries (which are usually the richest) that would use such laws to imprison whom they believe as "disrespecting the faith" just to shut them and lock em up as fast as they can. The issue isn't religious, it's politics tryna ooze its way into Islam by corrupt leaders. Also would like to add: that mentioning Iran as "what true Islam is supposed to be like" to us is the same as saying North Korea is a democracy.

My workout buddy in college was Muslim, he was a wonderful person. I think as with any religion there are some bad apples that spoil their image. The ones you see on the news criticizing Christians for eating during Ramadan etc. There are good, and bad people everywhere. I respect Sean for choosing friendship.

Respecting and valuing friendship over his right to make jokes and offend someone just because he can, he chose to do something that he should, rather than what he could-thats a good friend and a mature, respectful adult. He is on the way to be more than just a fighter. To become a father figure and great role model. Too many people grow up in age numbers but essentially still are just school kids bully or kids who never been told no to in their lifetime. When you got enough money to stop giving a care, you stop learning to live as part of society. You think you can do anything with your money now. You get disconnected from real world. Because all your interaction are just business transaction and online presence.
