Jude 9 says that Michael the Archangel,
when he disputed with the devil and argued about
the body of Moses,
did not dare pronounce him an abusive judgment,
but said,
The Lord rebuke you.
Why would the devil want the body of Moses?
Because God is probably going to use it later.
What do you mean?
The book of Revelation states that during the end times,
two witnesses will appear on
earth to testify of God,
and that fire flows out of their mouth and devours their enemies.
They have the power to shut up the sky so that rain will not fall.
And they have the power over the waters to turn them into blood and to strike the earth
with every plague.
That's pretty intense.
The Old Testament prophet Elijah is known for summoning fire and preventing rain from
falling,
and Moses is known for turning water into blood and striking Egypt with plagues.
So some people think the two witnesses in Revelation are Moses and Elijah?
Exactly.
The Old Testament describes that Elijah was raptured up to heaven in a whirlwind,
so God
already had his body.
But because Moses died here on earth,
God likely wants to preserve his body for the
end times.
Is that why Moses and Elijah showed up at the transfiguration of Jesus?
Yes.
The entire Old Testament ends with God saying,
Behold,
I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and
terrible day of the Lord.
So Jesus was likely conversing with Moses and Elijah about if it was truly their time
to come back or not.
That makes a lot more sense now.
And it also gives a lot more clarity to Deuteronomy 34,
which states that it was God himself who
buried Moses' body.

Naw. It'll be Elijah and Enoch. The body of Moses was hid to keep the children of Israel from worshipping and making him an idol.

The 2 witnesses are Enoch (Noah's grandfather) and Elijah. They are the ONLY 2 humans who have yet to experience death. Thus they are to return in the end times against the Antichrist and become hated and publicly executed for the while Earth to bare witness. Only after this happens will Jesus return as this prophecy must be fulfilled. Read more, decern more to get your facts correct.

What I do know is that the two witnesses were not flesh; they were anointings that needed to be restored to accomplish Christs will! They represent the “prophet and apostles” anointing since this was the foundation with Christ being the chief cornerstone- Read Zechariah 4:11-14 this is the golden oil(olive branches represent oil) and there was one on His left and one on His right! It’s important to get revelation from Holy Spirit bc even though book knowledge can “look” like one thing only Holy Spirit can reveal the truth that sets one free!! Even though it seems as though these anointings seem to have been restored - they have not- the work has begun but Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith and fu restoration!! I pray He He gives you eyes to see the truth we all need it as we get closer to the end!!💕💯👑⚔️🛡

It's Elijah and Enoch the 2 who never died at all, Moses body died
Actually, Moses died and God hid or disintegrated his body to prevent humans from venerating it. Elijah was taken up into the heavenly sky, not heaven itself, for later he was elsewhere in the promised land. According to Hebrew 11 Elijah later died. Human bodies do not go to heaven, since nothing physical can survive there. Heaven boes not support physical things. The new testament are symbolic representatives (angels at the transfiguration and human witnesses in Revelation) of Moses and Moses.
Moses is not coming back... This is just bad theology. The two witnesses are an easy guess. They will be: Elijah, and Enoch. Because, all men must die once and they are the two who were taken up and haven't died yet.
