Florida is the new California of the 80s, vibrant, bustling and everybody wants to move there. Broadly speaking he is correct, demographics and migration to Florida will keep sought after markets such as Sarasota, St Pete and others from crashing.

So you did not mention the Florida insurance crisis. Sarasota is on the coast, so expect continued huge premium increases. Weather? In Miami, the heat index was higher than 100 degrees for 46 straight days this year. The area has approached unlivable for four months out of the year. Your talking 15 years from now, it will be unlivable. BTW: If any of those snowbirds are retirees, the extreme heat has an understood connection to increases in fatalities from heart attacks.

Many people are beginning to go the route of self insuring which you can do as long as you don't have a mortgage on your home. Although I agree the insurance crisis here in Florida is horrible, there's still things people can do to mitigate their costs. Hurricane impact glass throughout, hurricane straps on your roof, maintain plants and trees near your property year round are just a few things my family and I do. Also to say weather is a negative is almost insulting the to people in the north who dream of 80+ degree weather year round. P.S. I've mentioned the insurance crisis in 2 of my other videos on this channel, go watch them and don’t forget to hit the like button!

@@ZachPayneSarasotaRealEstateThe insurance process at this point has totally failed. Self insuring is an admission that the risks the actuaries have found can't be mitigated. "Also to say weather is a negative is almost insulting the to people in the north" I have lived in the north for a long time. Dreaming of +80 is fine when it is 20 degrees in January. But during the summer it is a different story. "I watch Matt's RV reviews and he had to move his videos to NY and MI in order to keep going during the summer. Because the weather is such crap there. Hurricane straps are fine. But if you are near the coast you have storm surge, it does not care that you have straps.

Storm surge is only affecting homes directly on the bay and gulf (for those of us in Sarasota) and about 2-5 miles away. Yes Sarasota gets hot what does that have to do with the housing market? The point of the video is that people will continue to move here in droves keeping home prices from crashing down.

@@ZachPayneSarasotaRealEstate Manatee, Sarasota counties etc is what I am referring to, naturally, as this was the topic. I am typing on my phone so I will not go into the lengthy lecture required to explain this extremely myopic video with date points of all sorts some of which are the low sales and increased inventory and price cuts which will continue to degrade.

@@JonNova Yes, that’s a correction not a crash if you even spent 10 seconds to watch the video you would’ve heard me say “I’m not saying we won’t see a correction actually we need a correction.” Also all those points you said prove that there will be a correction. NOT A CRASH. THERE IS NO PROOF SARASOTA WILL SEE A CRASH!💥 there’s still enough demand and limited inventory in the market.
