@@thegoodestman That is the problem, the world has too many sheeple who don't want to realise that the are being brainwashed and indoctrinated, and those religionist books have been translated and rewritten many times, that they can no longer be compatible with the secular and technological society many of us live in. A theocracy is not relavant or suitable for the 21 century.

The problem with religions, that most religious people seem incapable of seeing or acknowledging, is that they are divisive by design. Each religion puts their belief system and tenets above all other religions. Which separates people from one another out of the gate. How can this be perceived as healthy, much less good? Not to me.

I don't agree If no one ever discussed these things, everyone would just stay in their little belief bubble, never being challenged, and thus way less likely to change/improve... no matter how bad or harmful their beliefs. We should be willing to discuss these kinds of things, and be willing and ready to be challenged at any time, have good answers for these challenges, and willing to admit when we don't and are wrong. This is how we improve and progress. Not just with religion, but likely any topic.

I personally don't see any benefit of talking about a magical or mythical being that people manipulate into scaring people into getting power and that also can't be tested and no one has ever seen and all we have to go by is just a old book written by people who had no knowledge of anything and would believe anything

Every person is entitled to bring their personal world view, to the determination of their own vote, in a democracy. They are also entitled to advocate peaceably, within the law, for that view, on its merits. Anything else is anti-democratic, anti-freedom of speech, and eventually, fascism.

I want laws that limit it's reach. If religious views are talked about in a tv show, movie, music, news a disclaimer must be known to the public that "religious content is within". Parents have a right to know what kind of contect is being taught to their children. Just like the religious did with explicit lyrics. Religious lyrics should be treated the same. No one under 16 should have the right to buy religious content material without the permission from a parent. We must protect our children from such ideologies.

The concept of the theocracy despite the name is hardly democratic. Europe was a theocracy pre-Reformation and at that time dissenters AKA heretics were burned at the stake. That was because a dissenter challenged the received wisdom and the hegemony of the religious regime. We still have theocracies today, such as Pakistan where apostasy or insulting the Prophet whether real or perceived can be punished by death.

By Quran (not fabricated Sharia from other than Quran) religion should dictate public life since it (Quran) integrates all religion. The Unseen Creator and Sustainer of all worlds dictates everything (including free will) anyway. His created and sustained citizens are free to seek His favor as individuals or a group (including government) as Thomas Jefferson (See 'Why Thomas Jefferson Owned a Quran' -Smithsonian Magazine), exercising his free will, did when referencing the 'Creator' in the Declaration of Independence and it (independence), far from being hurt from this 'reference', was subsequently granted. Dedicated early american Muslims, recognizing the truth of the bible (as instructed in Quran), from their exercise of unwavering faith in the sole God of Adam, Abraham, Issac, Jacob, Ishmael, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Jesus, Muhammad and many others from eastern faiths (early Hindu, Buddhist, Tao etc.), earned admiration, respect and their very freedom from slavery as a result of seeking (by Quran) the sole unseen God's favor despite their ire raising superior knowledge (from Quran) over their slave masters, government, and the prevailing Christian community who believed their long corrupted faith, fabricated from cherry picking the lies from their Bible, was superior to the faith in the incorruptible Quran. If one studies Quran, she or he will learn that, as a mender of their own preceding scriptures, the Quran actually guides a good Muslim to be a good Hindu, Christian, or Jew; and guides a good Hindu, Christian, or Jew to be a good Muslim (surrenderer to the will of the one sole generic creator God over all). The effect of of having 'One nation under God (the generic, all purpose unseen non ethnic, non-sectarian God of Quran)' has the potential, if citizens sincerely follow it's precepts (and do not, to falsely protect their sins, fall into divisive sectarian schisms (Quran 45:17) to form a non-divisive strong national and international union, blessed by the only One Who can bless (Quran).
