I still play RA2 with my friends at times. I've overhauled the entire skirmish AI to put up more of a challenge too. Personal favorite faction to play is Korea, nothing like nuking the enemy off the map with air blob.

It's so nice to hear people are still playing it together after all these years to be honest. I am always surprised when I boot it up and CnC net reports hundreds of people online.

RA2 and emperor: battle for dune were my first games ever. I was more impressed with the emperor as a child, since it was a 3D game. But RA2 has meme units, this crazy vibe and great music

You know I never played Emperor Battle for dune, but heard good things.

this and coh1 are my favourite ever rts games, i have fond memories of playing this and cnc generals with my dad. although newer titles are definitely better like kanes wrath, this is my favourite cnc game no doubt! the art design, voice acting and music all have a special place in my heart. my favourite nation is britain of course!! those snipers rip infantry apart!

@@smallwonder843 if I truly had to pick a favourite unit it would be probably the apocalypse tank. Twin cannon tanks are just good in all C&C games.

I can't agree with you on RA2 being the best game. There is a charm to the underlying story and setting of Tiberian Dawn no other game ever came close to for me. I can only see Generals ever trying to replicate it in an early 2000s war-on-terror setting, but unfortunately it takes itself too serious and falls too short on the scifi mystery side. In other words, there would need to be aliens and a religious undertone (like the Cain story) in it, such that for me it could come close. Otherwise, I agree with you on RA2 having the best gameplay. Tiberian Sun scores the highest for me in terms of atmosphere and Tiberium Wars is a good mishmash of RA2 and TD elements, though overall for me it neither supasses RA2 and TD in story nor gameplay.
