I personally feel that this was politically motivated too and soon Paytm huge userbase would be bought by Jio Payments Bank which isnt making as much profit as Paytm did.

On paytm app, I only use the payments bank, such a good bank, not a even single upi was stuck in last 3 year

The problem is with all these kind of business, to make profit, if consumers pay 1% extra due to online payment, they choose other way. Like why i pay 101rs for 100rs food.

RBI can only regulate the bank only. RBI already made it clear that Google Pay is not authorised by them to do transaction neither they claim responsibility of it. This step was against Bank not Paytm start up.
