Almost all temples welcome all non muslims but some ancient temple which have history of destruction by mostly Muslim invaders doesn't welcome Muslims like Jagannath Puri, Kashi Vishwanath etc. Infact the temple where you were not allowed was reconstructed one. The original temple use to be at the site of Masjid adjacent to temple which you should have visited. The back wall of that Masjid is something to see.

Kai bar to mitti me bhi chhupa dete hai. Us time par ek concept ho gaya ki muslim log Humara culture ko nast kar rahe hai isiliye muslim ko jaganath mandir me allow nahi hai.

Actually Non-Hindus are not allowed in the Kadhi Vishwanath temple because it is believed that non-Hundus are usually beef eaters. Hindus don't eat beef, That's why. It's not a Race/Religious thing

Khaali Sunny naam boldete bhai. Muslims arent allowed due to history. This temple was destroyed many times by rulers of you know what religion. Thus lots of temples have banned entry of people from other religion.

It must have been overwhelming for you being a Pakistani and the pre-conceived notions about Hinduism and Hindus in particular , given the facts that is taught in Pakistani books about Hindus and Hinduism. it was interesting to see Varanasi from Pakistani perspective. Varanasi is one of the oldest continuously inhabited places on earth and one of the seats of Hinduism. It is bound to be loud , crazy and crowdy given the nature of the city. I would suggest you to visit " Haridwar" and "Rishikesh" in your next trip ,that is relatively more calm and serene.

die in Varanasi? not sure what u meant, people can die anywhere but ashes are released in a river because the human bones contain calcium and phosphorus two important elements that fertilizes the soil, since rivers are main source of irrigation from sumerian times, the ashes are immersed in the river. Dear You should have gone to see the Gyan wapi Masjid.....if you were denied entry in Vishwanath Mandir....you would probably know how the distribution was done & this is the very reason of what you got there ...more over you would be shocked to see the structure of Masjid......which is completely Hindu temples base with red bricks & top mosque is completely different......when I was there seeing that was bit painful .
