I fail to see how a billionaire designing a chic French chateau is impressive. Decorate my studio apartment with a $200 budget... THAT would be impressive.

R RQ money is not a concern to the creator. His will for us is to enjoy the earth and marvel at it. Money is a human invention. The gain of money is one small aspect of what a person can do among many other things.

aruytpadyugf I know. It’s like all these heiresses going to school for you guessed it! Fashion design. That’s not too cliche. I wonder WHAT would’ve happened if she didn’t have her husband’s endless $ funding her PR campaign? Would she be the “style icon” they make her out to be. The way I see it, rich people playing at design is as old as the first coin ever circulated & as common as beach sand🙄

Pauline is from a bygone era- she worked for one of the most important fashion designers at the time. She didn't have need for Google- to find out what this is or who this person is. She was educated and traveled in the right circles much like the Bouvier sisters much later on among many others.

Thanks to her family that fund both sides of conflicts and wars in order to profit and them being the main driving engine to the British imperialism and colonialism that killed 100s of millions of innocent people all around the world for 200+ years. I also love them for enslaving people into money/debt slaves so they will work harder forever without having any freedom, rights and real money of their own.

I don't mind being "comfortable" but I still have to watch very carefully where I spend my money. And I feel guilty that not everyone has the luxury of having a modest house, healthy food, and a reliable car. How the rich sleep at night I will never know. As long as we have hundreds of million people (probably more) going to bed hungry and living in squalor, there should be a law against being able to amass huge fortunes. I for one don't envy the well-heeled in the least. I would never be able to enjoy the wealth and for sure, there isn't a single individual "out there" who can honestly claim to have come by their mega bucks without having left "many a body" behind them.

the difference between the rich of today and the rich of yesterday was that the old rich there was a grater instilled idea hammer into them when young that it was there responsibility to give to Chairty and commit in some way of betting the world. the the Nobility for ex. one son would inherit the family estate .which gave lifelong employment to those who lived on it or neer to it . the other son would join the armed forces and defend the country as a leader of men in times of war. The last would enter/be given to he church . There used to be a greater sense of self sacrifice that went along with the Privilege and money but such ideals are not taught to the wealthy or elite classes any more which is both disgraceful and dangerous

Although money cannot buy taste, it can buy advice. An example is Mrs Simpson, who was awful, but the dressmakers of Paris and the best decorators in France worked together to make her look better than the vulgarian she actually was. Pauline Rothschild was of a different class. Possibly not someone I would have enjoyed finding myself next to at dinner, nevertheless, she had taste and style and passion and if life had given her inadequate financial resources, I find myself thinking that she would have always made the most of whatever she had. Taste lived within her, whether she was rich or poor.

Those things have to be learned from a early age or you have to be born with them." I am not rich by any means im actually quite poor but i developed a sense of style and taste .when i have money i spend on nice things and Chairity, when i don't and have to live off the kindness of others i get nice if not faded but still presentable 2 or 3 hand items or wears.
