I feel blessed to be watching Patrick Mahomes at his peak. Yes, he had the baseball background, yes, he had the advantage of growing up in a sports family, yes, he has one of the best arms in football history, but all of the "experts" decried his "backyard football" game. It took Andy Reid to bring out his greatness, and it also took Alex Smith to teach him how to be a pro quarterback. We are witnessing the best of the best of the best...and he is the most likable superstar of all time. Yes, he does have a funny, "Kermit the frog" voice, but that just makes him more endearing.

He's the most complete and talented QB to ever play

Not only is Mahomes better, he's a lot better. Brady had zero MVP seasons, and just one second team All-Pro at this point in his career. Mahomes has more MVPs than Brady had All-Pros.

What to me is underrated is, Patrick Mahomes prove he can be a pocket passer, a game manager, a traditional QB and still be better than anyone. Many people just think he is a magician who makes crazy throw, yet little give credit to his elite awareness, vision, preparation, accuracy and intelligence. This year prove he is not capable of carrying a subpar team and leading them to a Super Bowl. That’s what greatness is.

I've long thought Mahomes background in baseball has given him an advantage in being qb. Many of his magic moves are partly because of his pitching. And his running the ball gives him an advantage as well as that arm that slings the ball for so far. Thanks to his dad being a pitcher this has given Mahomes some more tricks in his bag of tricks that makes him so deadly to the opposing team. His baseball has really given Mahomes an advantage in ways to throw and overcome the opponent. While many still love Brady as the GOAT I predict we will see some changes over the next 10 years and Mahomes will be the name on people's lips as GOAT

This dude is sick, I love watching him play especially when a play breaks down and he has to perform his magic.

They lead the league in drops and still won the Superbowl.

More than that. I’m a manning guy through and through, since he was in high school. Mahomes is like the wow play ability and arm talent of Aaron Rodgers, the leadership of Manning and Brady, the awareness of Manning and Brady (you can’t do the weird, how the eff did he find that guy plays at his ridiculously consistent clip without absolutely knowing what is going on over the entire field), and almost the pre and post snap brain of Peyton and Tom. I wanted to hate him and write him off as a flash in the pan when he threw 50 tds his first year starting, but you can’t watch him play and, honestly, have that feeling. He is truly something we’ve never seen. It’s ridiculous.

Keeping him in the pocket is absolutely not the game-plan teams have. Literally one of his biggest weaknesses is flushing himself from the pocket too early. The plan is to flush him in a direction you have good coverage on and hope he doesn't make a freak throw across to the other side of the field.

Not sure where you’re getting that info, the blitz rate against him has dropped from the previous year every year he has started down to now one of the lowest in the league because his passer rating is the highest of any active QB vs. the blitz at 111.7 and 116.5 when teams send 5+. Obviously some credit goes to scheme of the offense and Andy Reid but what you said is pretty objectively false. He’s one of the lowest in pressure to sack rate.

The top 5 leaders in drops all made the playoffs. Mahomes ain’t the only one with that issue. His defense completely shut down the number one scoring offense when they beat the Dolphins, The Bills had their worst season in three years too, Jackson always chokes, The Bengals missed the playoffs on their own, And the 49ers were playing their worst of the season, not to mention, they sabotaged themselves in the Super Bowl. I can clearly see that Mahomes is a very talented player, but let’s keep it real now. The Chiefs win these games with a little luck on their side, it’s hardly just him.

Yeah, the refs will do anything to help Mahomes. Which is why they made his tackle the most penalized player in the game, negating yards, firstdowns and TDs. On average the Chiefs lose more penalty yards than their opposition. And when it comes to rtp flags, Mahomes was sixth, Allen was waaay out in the lead last season. Does any of this make any sense if the refs are on Mahomes' side and trying to help him win?

He sees his guys get fouled and knows he has a free throw to try passes that are a more risky then he normally attempts. If he makes the throw, they can turn down the penalty and keep it but if he misses or gets intercepted then the penalty negates what ever happened.

You are reading stats that include free plays. Mahones has mastered continuing the play after a defensive off sides. That is why his interceptions are overturned. I thought everyone knew this.
