The Snyderverse is probably an option if Gunn’s film fails. They will could treat the new Superman like Reeves’ ‘The Batman’ if that happens and go back to this or sell the IPs off. I want them to restore it at some point. I hope this is a step in the right direction

I know some will disagree but I hope it's a edited more fast paced version, it's way to long to sit through in a theatre

I've seen it so many times but I'll go see it again. Looking forward to Minions 4 tomorrow with my son.

This is a positive thing for Zack Snyder. It shows that he is a class act as an individual and patient as well! I am excited…I definitely will see in the theater. My hope is that as Aaron said, maybe see Man of Steel again , The Ayer Cut of Suicide Squad and Batman VS Superman extended edition in theater as well. Over all hope is that Snyder will get to finish Justice League 2 and 3. Hers to praying for!

I am not even a DC fan but I am a Superman fan, especially the Henry Cavill version, and I find this exciting. As someone who has over 4 decades in the industry and has done business with Warner Brothers in the past, I can tell you this is for money and to keep the fans involved. WB brass are cold-hearted bean counters. Pure and simple. I also believe they are hedging their bets on the Gunn product coming out. If they truly do want to sell they need positive buzz and they don’t have that right now. If they want to sell they need to dress up the product. This will do that. Just my opinion. RJ

Or sell it to Netflix or Amazon so they can finish it. The Snyder cut with the darkest and apocalypse scenes was amazing and a cliff hanger for sure.

@@bossmine3997 I think it would make a killing in theater's because the few that seen it say it is a totally different movie than what was released in theaters before if you are a fan of Ayers movies you know his stories are great and always keeps you on the edge of your seat and the theatrical release of SS didn't feel like a Ayer film.

If Man of Steel , BvS Expanded Edition , Suicide Squad and Snyder's Cut "Justice League" come to theater. I would go see them in theater. I really like Henry Cavile and Ben Affleck as Superman and Batman. Gal Gadot is good as Wonder Woman as is Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Ray Fisher as Cyborg. I will support all of these films if they come back out on the big screens. I think it was a mistake to discard Zack Snyder's movies and future projects to go with these James Gunn movies. James Gunn is a talented film maker but the decisions he's been making has been off the wall crazy. There is still a lot we can do with Henry Cavile as Superman and Ben Affleck as Batman. I would really like to see Ben Affleck do his own Batman movie. We never really got to see that and Ben Affleck is a great actor. The same goes with Henry Cavile. He's done great work in The Immortal, Mission Impossible, The Witcher and I think it's a mistake to let him go to a younger Superman. We've already gotten a younger version of Superman, yeah. You know what it was called? it was Smalleville.

Would pay a lot of money to see BvS in theaters one more time

It was never promoted by WB well, but if it does get a wide release, with promotion you never know. There is a generation whom didn't follow the story of Snydercut, and may just see the film for the first time.

Man of Steel is a Masterpiece. The only film with Zach Snyder, Hans Zimmer, and Christopher Nolan all working on it.

They could still profit from the SnyderVerse by releasing the Justice is Gray edition on digital and blu-ray, as well as David Ayer’s Suicide Squad. Maybe also by licensing those movies to Netflix.

Even if ZSJL will not be shown in theaters in Canada where I live I will be very happy for those who will have the chance to see it on the big screen, the experience is not the same as at home! Certainly this will open the doors for Zack eventually and possibly he will be able to complete his vision that he wanted to do before Zaslav arrived and Gunn took over.

ZSJL is a story that should've reached it's conclusion. Seeing it on a streaming channel is one thing but to see it on an IMAX screen would take the movie experience to a whole new level. I think most people would go to see it for this reason alone & if it got a global release... Ch-ching $$$. It's a pity that the powers that be @ WB decided to take a detour from Zack Snyder's vision but it doesn't take a genius to see that it's been all downhill after that. I find it interesting that WBD has a stock spike just as the Snyder Cut theatrical release is mentioned, but it was sagging during all of the Gunn Superman leaks. And they still think Gunn is the winner. Yeah, right! 😂

on top of all their other mistakes regarding Zack's Justice League movie, they missed an opportunity to make a huge amount of money by changing how they released it to theaters. Back before they did their bastardized JOSStice League, they could've released it in chapters. Hear me out. Zack broke the movie into chapters. They could've released each chapter two or three weeks apart. Each chapter being roughly about an hour and a half apart, the threats could've had at least 10 showings a day. Then, after the following three weeks, take that chapter down and put up the next. It would've been like the chair plays they did back in the early days... like Flash Gordon. It would've been huge and it would've started a revolution with other studios copying that approach.

Dceu is their fallback if guns DC tanks. They can let the dceu go on with another studio (Netflix etc) or co tinder o. With it to officially finish it or possible incorporate the dceu into the new dcu .

I imagine watch Sony re release their films and the general weird trend that has happened regarding that is why this is being released. After rebel moon I doubt wb is looking to make more movies with Snyder

The problem with Gunn making a Supes film, is that Gunn simply isn't as good a cinematographer as Zack. No matter what Gunn does, even if he has a great script, it will never have the visual awe, the spectacle, the pure eye candy that Snyders films bring to the screen. It's like throwing a handful of diamonds into the sky on a sunny day, vs staring into a bucket of gravel when it's raining.
