I just started today and i am really liking it however i hate it gave me the option to use the better armor set that just made the game way to easy when i was looking forward to the grind 🤧

@@lukeglenn223 the number one advice people give is to not use the defender armor. The main purpose of that gear is for people who are replaying the game and want to quickly skip to the dlc. Never use defender shit

I gave Monster Hunter three chances, but never lasted more than half an hour before quitting. However, two days ago, I decided to push myself to play for about five hours, and now I completely understand why the fans adore this game. I'm absolutely hooked now! 😅

Let's goooo! One of us!! To be honest, that's the typical experience for a lot of MH fans. Many players can't get into the game on their 1st or 2nd try, and end up quitting early, but once they return and get past that initial getting used-to phase they all become fans

OG Freedom veteran here, still playing World to this day. Also bought Rise and Sunbreak a few days ago, i'm having a blast with it so far.

I was in a D&D session with a few friends and we fought a monster that reminded me alot of my initial MHW experience. After the session I craved playing it again

Yes more videos like this I like it alot! I main switch axe I always go back to it right away to get back into the groove of hunting, then I venture to other weapons.

I was an Insect Glaive main in 4 Ultimate. When I started playing World, I initially used that weapon. Though, at 130 hours, the Charge Blade just brings me more success.

I just play when someone needs help, usually Bow is my default weapon, unless I'm facing a monster that can one shot me due to 30% more damage taken when yielding a ranged weapon (eg. Fatalis, Velkhana AT).

Monster hunter World is one of those games that never gets uninstalled when I run out of space, it has been on my ps4 and ps5 homescreen since the day it released. I need my monthly MH fix

MHW is just so damn solid. I've been getting back into it lately after a very long hiatus and things are clicking for me in ways they never did before. After a couple hundred hours and several years, I think I'm finally starting to get it.

Just finished "rise" and as much as loved it, it felt so SHORT. Coming back to "World" for some hopefully deeper gameplay.

I got this game not too long ago. Still relatively new. I had Rise before it, though, so I'm not ENTIRELY blind.

At this point, I've completed Iceborne and Sunbreak. Twice! The only thing left to try is the ICE Mod. See if that has any significant difference.

I actually owned MHW for probably 2 years and never really played it; it mostly sat. Then a year ago I started up a new character and never put it down; became absolutely hooked!

On the contrary, I actually went BACK to MH Rise. Been loving all the monster hunter hype

I've never seen, heard about or played this game. I saw it was on sale and found this video. Where is the dragon's health bar? Why is he using the same 2 attacks over and over? Can I do these type of fights with a couple friends or is it solo only? Could someone please give me a little context on what the game is about and its story? Edit to add: I'm curious because it looks really cool and it seems the game has been around a while. I'm astounded I've never heard of it before.

@@darkhero2 thank u... also just got the game for roughly 5 days and I've been playing everyday when able. Im already high rank 7 and able to fight pretty easily... well i find the rathians one of the easiest higher ranked monster. Super fast monsters are still kinda tricky but i think I'll be able to master them too. I also started a guild called 7 deadly sins My bf is the sin of pride And im the sin of wrath... once I've fainted only once that monster is number 1 priority on my list and i will not go on until i see it unalive. I make use of online mainly to help others with sos. But if a monster seems too difficult for me i fight it with some aid then find it again to do it all by myself... to get the feeling of the battle ahead Or shorter said... i really love the game. It's places second under the legend of zelda... nothing beats legend of zelda 😅

I am too busy right now and have too many games to play. Just finished Dragon's Dogma 2, started up DD1 for nostalgia. Started Persona 3 Reload finally. Got Elden Ring DLC on the horizon, and right after that is FF14 Dawntrail (at least I dropped raiding in it because it became anxiety inducing). Plus I continue playing multiple gacha games, and trying to get into fighting games with Granblue Rising and Guilty Gear. I also want to get back into Vanillaware games and play Unicorn Overlord, so I now have Odin Sphere and 13 Sentinels to play. Not to mention a backlog spanning 10 years. And work continues to be busy with more overtime. I became an anime figure collector just because all that overtime felt worthless with nothing to spend it on that didn't just take up more time. I feel happy to get a random cartoon girl statue because I can put it on a shelf and... that's it. I don't need to interact anymore other than glancing at it. I never beat Alatreon proper and Fatalis, and Rise ended up being dropped before I even got to MR100; haven't even touched Lucent Narga. Instead of being excited for Wilds, I'm more lukewarm between Granblue Relink making me realize I still loved that style of play, and "oh great, spending an entire week trying to get a single gem and walking away like I wasted my little time again." Helldivers 2 felt like a worse grind than MonHun day 2 with no one to play with so it got dropped within a few hours. I think... I just really hated the clutch claw. I hate the tenderize upkeep, and having to smash monsters into a wall only for them to just keep running because "you missed it by a pixel." That happened too many times with Alatreon that I just got frustrated and stopped. I think Rise just disheartened me with whatever the meta was, it felt upkeepy and emphasis on parries. That impression is years old, but it's too late and I've moved on.

I played through Dragons Dogma 1 several times on the Xbox 360. I started a playthrough of Persona 3 Reload on Game Pass for the Xbox One S. I did not play any further than the first battle. The story seemed decent, but I just felt distracted by other games. I have only played two games in the Monster Hunter series. 4 Ultimate for the Nintendo 3DS. Which resulted in me getting hard stuck at 9 star hunts after having played for 300 hours. Then, there is Monster Hunter World. I am at Master Rank 3 Stars making progress. Though, my last key quest I won with less than 5 minutes to spare. So I have stepped back from progressing and am farming for better gear first before trying to push.

Still playing World from time to time just been stuck playing Helldivers 2 and CoD lol. And everytime I play I always choose my main weapon the Long Sword. Also help out in the SOS quests whether being Low, High or Master Rank just like being helpful and do what I couldn't get when I first started playing. But yeah definetly got get back to hunting monsters and preparing to hunt Alatreon and Fatalis once again and might make some videos too but idk just see how everything goes and "Happy Hunting".

I'm still in the middle of sunbreak, but want to revisit world.

New fresh hunter here. I got plenty of question for veteran hunter. But my main part 2 parts. 1. How many weapon type a hunter normally master or use? 2. Why the low rank, high rank and master rank? I mean I get it somewhat but regrinding armor set after iceborne? Quite a bit of let down for so many high rank gear almost unusable after iceborne dlc.

1. Depends on the hunter. I use GL, HBG, CB, SA and hammer. But I have known people to only use 1 weapon and not switch. I would say find 1 or 2 weapons that gel with what you want to do and us them. 2. Following old tradition. If you play any other MH game low rank are typically solo only hunts, village quests, and are ment to be a person's intro to mechanics. High rank is then multi-player hunts that can be done solo. Lastly master rank is additional content added. Normally this would have been a separate game but times have changed.

@@soulspell6160 Thanks for thr reply. The first answer kind of makes sense. Using one or two weapon but likely not going work much in arena mode. As for the second answer, I didn't know it is tradition. Is more grinding expected in other monster hunter game like monster hunter rise and wild in the future as low, high and master rank formula exist in most game? Does most people just speed through the low and high level to experience the proper master rank hunts?

@kenshi4545 If you start rise you will see what I mean for low rank being an intro both mechanics and even story wise. As to whether to just blitz high rank to get to master rank is up to you since there are monsters locked behind HR thresholds, ie Valstrax some peoples fav elder dragon, unlike world where the thresholds only hold stronger versions of monsters you have already fought. For Wilds it will only likely launch with only low and high ranks so grinding high rank there is all you can do as content gets released.

Still haven't bought Iceborne, so yeah really haven't completed the game just yet.

I just recently gotten a pc so I am only a few months in world. I just recently killed alatreon after grinding for augment and few hours of hell retrying just to kill that #$?!/@. Still grinding for a challenger V charm before going on fatalis which notoriously hard for lance(they said) but would definitely not give up until I defeat him 1v1 before teaming up with others to farm.

Another 500 hour in this 2 month,my life is ruined but not for this game,this game is crazy good i'm still horny everytime i play it

I started off with rise being my first monster hunter game then moved over to world after getting to post game sunbreak. I'm about 250 hours into world/iceborne and having a great time with it. I've always been a gunlance main but definitely prefer the flow of it in world over rise (I never liked that it could fly). I do wish gunlance had a bit better late game damage scaling though.

I can not speak to that. I played 4 Ultimate on the 3DS first. Then, Monster Hunter World on the Xbox One S. Being able to restock while on quests is a plus in World. I also like the decreased difficulty since the wall I hit in 4 Ultimate caused me to leave Monster Hunter for many years.
