As a main reaper player with both builds, the reaper is very easy to backatk with no 1 movement skill, but there is a very long gap between being easy to play and being a good player, I agree you can get used to it easily. But to reach the limit and appear on the MVP board you have to practice a lot. New players should not choose reaper unless they have friends

The only thing I disagree is that reaper needs hands to play after the rework. Only lunar voice does. Hunger reaper, however, is probably the easiest entropy class currently. Just watch Zeals' streams - he has a high ilvl reaper, and he keeps on emphasizing how effortless it is to play hunger right now and showed that many times in Theamine. It's even easier than predator slayer, the class that is pretty easy on its own. Yes she is squishy but you are #1 mobility class in the game and it's not even close. You have too many "oh shit" buttons that move you around that if you get hit too much or even die it's entirely a skill issue. The reason why reaper is unpopular is because it was one of the most gatekept classes for 2 years on top having pretty low damage. Most people who were invested in the game, mainswaped long time ago, so yeah there is that. Reaper popularity is growing though. In NA specifically, it's definitely much more popular than something like summoner that is a legit dead class right now.

You're wrong: A reaper does not switch roles. A reaper embraces the gatekeep. A reaper gives her 100% every match, otherwise dies. A reaper just tries to have fun, doesnt need to be n°1 in damage to be happy. A reaper, reaps.

I saw Zeals playing Hunger and I do think you need hands for that. The button spamming is insane, probably only Hype 3 EO SF is more insane in this regard. Meanwhile Lunar seems to be more straightforward, less spammy, but less lenient if you fuck up the rotation.

I´m starting with Lost Ark and trying the classes a priori i like and i have to say reaper is a lots of fun. She is my number one for now.

Reaper was my first and highest ilvl alt for the longest of time. This days she stays forgoten,thinking of reviving her whit the next pass to 1580

So the question is, is the class, new player and average joe player friendly now?

and lunar only because the devs don't play the game; otherwise its dps is actually quite comparable to hunger. just way more difficult to execute since I'm p sure the devs don't know what a rotation means in an rpg.

Honestly in my opinion, a lot of people say Hunger is piano, and is easy to play/beginner friendly, but when i first tried it out it honestly took some time in the lab to get used to the rotation of being able to pop all your skills off CD since downtime in the engraving would lead to significantly less damage (high swift variant). Constantly having to make sure to use shadow vortex to reduce CD on your swoop skills is super important in maintaining uptime and can be detrimental to one's DPS, which is why i think this engraving requires the pilot to have some type of hands and may not be the easiest

it takes a lot of effort to stop killing yuorself with reaper getting used to all the mobility skills takes a lot of time and then figuring out how to use them quickly so you also deal damage is also a lot of effort it might be easier to hit the back with reaper but she is by far not an easy character to play she is also not piano unless ofcourse you want to deal less damage than a bomb

@@KachowProduction they are forgetting that they hvave years of training their hands they also understand the fights. you can watch someone learning the game and playing a reaper and they are pulling like 10% of the characters potential

Yeah soul eater is good class i love it

I absolutely fucking adore this class. But even as a reaper stan i can admit one misclick and u are fuckin dead like no question but there is no more satisfying class then playin well in an encounter on a reaper. U feel like a gaming god. Its like everything tanking mythic plus dungeons on a dps havoc dh back in legion on wow is best way i can explain it

You didnt answer why ppl not play reaper. I will answer it for you :D It was nerfed to the ground. Lunar was so bad that only real good players only can do dmg, and if you add on top of it that kayangel and Voldis is so hard for back attack classes its a nightmare bosses move rotate or teleport somewhere :D. After the the balance patch I tho Lunar will get better and it does but not enough I finally decided to switch to hunger and wow Its amazing so much better and u can roll face on keyboard :D dmg with no effort at all.
