There is a theory about intermittent fasting having anti aging effects..maybe the fasting he does as a devout Muslim is having that effect on him ?? The dude is getting better with age!

I don't believe a Belief system/religion made him where he is today but it mostly his exercise regime, amateur pedigree and belief in himself to be fair.

Religion isn’t what makes him a boxer. It makes him discipline which in return helps him to be a better boxer. Top sportsman need to be extremely disciplined person. You can achieve that without a faith but having faith makes it easier for you.

I don't enjoy the narrative that someone can be a partial Muslim or a devout Muslim. Everyone's journey is there own with Allah and only Allah can judge anything they do. Whether they take cocaine or whether they are the most devout Muslim in the world.

I love this comment, I started taking my faith as a Muslim a lot more seriously the least few years and sometimes I feel like a hypocrite for doing certain things but still praying 5 times in the end Allah swt is the ultimate and only judge. Ramadan Kareem brother
Devin Haney is a Muslim. He was whooped by less skilful Ryan Garcia. Religion has nothing to do with prize fighting. Beterbiev is a good fighter because Beterbiev puts in the hard work. Canelo knocked the spark out of Amir Khan, a Muslim and Barrera embarrassed Naseem Hamed! I mean, Khan and Hamed both followed Islam.

@NoAmmo22 talent does not get u the victory. Faith, hard work, dedication, never giving up, 7 days in the trenches working out, and lastly, believing in 1 God Allah. Do not drink, no clubbing, no drugs, and sleep on time, and pray 5 times a day will get u the victory. Khabib, islam, usman, khamzat, umar, beterbiev, belal, shavkat, movsar, ankalaev, ect..... All believ in Allah and achieved something big.

If Beterbiev believes there is a sky fairy up there helping him that’s all good it doesn’t make it true. His belief in a sky fairy is just a belief with no EVIDENCE ago back it up. Religion works for Beterbiev because he thinks it’s the sky fairy that helps him win and he hasn’t lost so his belief is justified. Beterbiev is a champion because he dedicates his life to boxing and trains his skills very hard. Beterbiev will beat Yarde up and stop him but it will be Beterbiev that does it on his own without the help of an invisible ‘being’.

Bivol got SERIOUSLY rocked against Smith Jr. People are saying the punch was after the bell BUT they both threw a punch at the same time we are talking milliseconds here at the end of the round. Bivol’s punch MISSED went over Smith’s head and Smith connected on Bivol’s temple. Bivol was stunned, he had to hang on to the top rope to get back to his corner on jelly legs. Beterbiev throws that type of punch a lot, that’s why I’m going for Beterbiev by brutal stoppage.
