Slip jyada hone se current isiliye Max hoga kiuki rotor speed tends to achieve synchrous seed but it can't get due to this rotor will take Max current,,Nr and Ns ke difference jitna jyada hoga torque jyada hoga and torque is Direct proportional to rotor current,,hence ,,

High starting current due to back emf..
