I just finished 2022 mentorship, before this I have watched scout series, market maker series, 2016 mentorship and more. I studied everything very well because I want to really understand the theory first. This video came at the perfect time for me, right when I'm starting backtesting and demo trading. I follow a few ICT concept youtubers but your channel has the best content, it's really helpful. I wish you good luck with trading and with the channel ;)

Look up the downfall of ICT in the youtube search and watch the 2 video's and tell me what you think.I have not studied ICT and keep a open mind but them video's have me not knowing what to think and i also think that ICT and smc are mostly renamed stuff, the banks go against each other they don't care about retail, then the stock market is not ran by the banks so why are they trading us30 and other stuff not ran by banks and wouldn't the trading be different then?? and it's not,T.A works the same on it all, say's a lot.

SMC is an acronym abbreviated from Smart Money Concept that has been taken from ICT ie. It originated from there. SMC and ICT infer the same thing. The great thing about this video is understanding the markets intentions irrespective if its an algo or banks running the show. Banks follow/ execute market orders from clients. In the process they do need to make profit for the privelege of making a market for the security or commodity on behalf of the client. ICT is therefore showing you how banks move to make profits and help execute orders for clients. Retail essentially is trying to ride the coat tail of these moves to profit too. If ICT as not around we would therefore not had a different perspective on market direction and would heavily rely on lagging indicators, which most often do not make money. So we should count our blessing that someone like ICT has come along to impart such knowledge.

I would also stress, forward testing in a demo. This imo is the true missing link between knowledge and wisdom in the charts. Because you get personal experience, which is where true confidence comes from. You can borrow knowledge but not wisdom, as wisdom requires both knowledge AND personal experience. Forward testing in a controlled Demo environment for at least 3-6 months is the best for this.

Hi Joseph! Very nice video :) I’ve been studying ICT for a few months now. I was fixated with SMC and the huge R:R setups, and don’t get me wrong they do exist and possible but are highly inconsistent in my experience. They are basically the same more fine tuned version, but I find more relaxing doing high quality 1:2-1:3 setups almost everyday than constantly on losing streaks looking for the holy grail. Altough I sometimes take SMC entries when I see them, they do work, I just consider them high risk and stressful for my style. 😊 Friendly comment ;)

I think a lot of people take losses using ICT because they don’t actually understand the HTF trend.

@@Meyers19 I met Mr Fisher about a year ago at a trading seminar I attended and I’ve been stuck with him ever since. His expertise is second to none I’ve ever seen, the effort and attention he puts into my trades is unprecedented and what every growing trader needs to gain useful bearing on the market

The price dude, not price is around here. The market came from 4700 it bounced off 3700, markets move off numbers and forget the rest of the obvious things going on here. It's not a mystery but your making it one.

ICT concepts shown after the fact and you know where the market went. Lets see that in real time market conditions. FVG's Order Blocks etc etc work about 10% of the time and are everywhere in market structure and on all time frames. Simply add a FVG Indicator in trading view and you will see how many fail vs how many hold and all of them you'll find what looks like an Order Block that then turns out to be a breaker after the fact and not an Order Block at all. Basically this methodology is trying to pick the tops and bottoms of a price swing. In all my studies and back testing as a student of ICT for years most of the time when the market gets moving it never returns to the original FVG/Order Block/69% 72% fib's etc at the low or high of the swing and more often than not goes beyond it during smaller price swings. In all honesty look at ICT's TD Ameritrade transaction list he published where it took 3 months to go from $25k to $50k and look closely at the success rate of the guru himself trading and judge for your self. Maybe that's why there are so few real examples of live trading of his and so many of his mentorship students still haven't had success, I know this as I see so many chats in his private mentorship group that after years and years most still can't make it work for them and there are many capable resourceful members in there. ICT openly admitted in one of his mentorship videos he made more money selling his teaching than trading, says a lot that does. Now compare this to someone like Tom Hougaard who trades live almost every single trading day and has years of verifiable trades. He also just shown what is really possible with a only a small £5k account and 10x it in less than a month. He sells nothing and does this for the benefit of those of us trying to learn this skill plus he is as funny as hell in the live audio streams he's now running. Just don't believe all the ICT hype that's out there....there is a simpler way which doesn't take years to master. Just my humble opinion :)

What channels do you recommend to watch? Start with Trader Tom or maybe something else? 3 or 4 years ago one of my friends was playing ICT and from what I saw I didn't want to participate in it. Now I watched this 2022 mentorship and I'm still not convinced. Too much talking about nonsense instead of focusing on topic.
