The level design alone gives me endless nights to think about how would I even start designing such a map... so many levels and everything is connected so smoothly. Insane

Thanks for this video. While as Soulsfan i already started my 3. Playthrough in Elden Ring weeks ago to eventually get into the DLC at some point, i also begun to draw and doing art much more now. During my fulltimejob as Restorer i hadn't much time to spend on it anymore. Your breakpointvideo a month ago opened my eyes (got a little bit emotional too) and i begun to draw way more now in my free time. Soon i will get my first IPad Pro. I'm so excited to draw finally directly digital art on it without doing it on paper anymore. Thanks alot for all this motivation. I know it's a tough thing as Artist this days, but i never will give up and follow my dreams. Thank you.

Well Julie, much like Souls games, the challenge isn’t an obstacle in the game, the challenge is a necessary part of what makes it so great - it’s what leads to the great joy that comes with success :)

Hello! I just wanted to suggest you 2 things: 1) To add Wesley Gardner to your art youtubers list (awesome pro illustrator) 2) To try out Krita program on desktop and then post a video with your pro level feedback, so that Krita community and its devs can pick up new ideas to make Krita the better program Thanks you for the content!

As someone who uses Krita, i think that's an awesome idea! The Krita team cares deeply about the art community, so they would absolutely take the feedback onboard, and i think Adam could provide a tremendous amount of valuable insight into how they could improve their software. I imagine that would be an incredibly time consuming video to make, though, so i don't know how feasible it is, but we can certainly hope :)

I´m also an absolute krita fan. But you need to remember, that Adam only does, what he truly cares about. So, the sugestion is great and I would love to see it, but its up to him, if he feels like doing it. A KZreadr always should be passionate about the videosubjects they are choosing. Better for mental healf and video qualaty. But lets see. Maby one day, he decides that he wants to give Krita a try. Aspecaly with all of that b####it that Adobe has going on right now

@@TerraCorvusEntertainment That's a very good point and I completely agree - He has been suggesting ArtStudio Pro recently, which looks excellent, but sadly that's only available on IOS and MacOS, so i'm hoping they eventually make it available on more platforms, but we'll see.

Funny, some weeks ago my boyfriend revisited Dark Souls I and he would play while we were on call, at first it was just entertaining seeing him play and struggle with it but then I started paying attention and would watch him for long period of times because the details and concepts in the game are so interesting and really draw you in, I can really see the care that goes into these games!

This video is a breath-taking work of art, Adam... The care and intention you put into every single detail - The introduction with your logo, the music, your beautiful, deeply moving and powerful speech, the gorgeous painting that you were working on, and the way you pieced all of it together truly feels like a testament to who you are as an artist and is a perfect example of exactly the kind of artistic genius that you are praising in Miyazaki's work. You are truly an inspiration. Thank you - Brandon

There's a video here on KZread called: ''Don't You Dare Go Hollow - Dark Souls As An Allegory For Depression'' which perfectly illustrates my relationship with the Souls series and later Elden Ring. I picked up the first game in 2014 when I was in a pretty rough time in life, and it's the only series that cut right to the core of my personal struggles.

Darksouls 1, as well as skyrim were my first initiation to rpg games. Ever since then I saw games as a medium for untapped artistic expression and immersion. To build experiences. EXPERIENCES. That's what miyazaki puts so much care and passion into. To actually breathe life to his imaginations, and I would like to think he himself wants to experience his imaginations as well!

This is a great video and talk. I love From games and they are beautifully made for sure. We seem to be under more and more pressure to produce more and more and faster. A creative person's only worth is not how much they output, it's the quality and thought that go into it that resonates with people long after. Fast food vs a slow cooked meal made with love. It's great seeing super successful games and creative pieces that are obviously made with love and care for the final product, and not just trend-following or jumping on what's hot. Also! this is a bad ass creature design.

As much as I understand your passion, this whole video feels ever so slightly backhanded. Especially the title. Do we have to shame the rest of the industry just to praise Miyazaki? You've been inspired heavily by this franchise, that's wonderful, but recognition and appreciation of *your* favourite creator does not have to come at the cost of blaming other creatives for their inability to stand up to corporate greed. I just think it's somewhat disconnected - and honestly rude - to say that Miyazaki's work puts everyone else "to shame" without recognizing the incredible hurdles that the gargantuan task of creating a game presents. Miyazaki has decades of practice, a company that bends to his whim, and a cult-like following that he's grown over the past 19 years. He is an anomaly. We can all strive to be more like him, but to feel shame that we aren't him? With all his accolades and recognition, a definitive superstar in the world of gaming? Maybe I'm wrong. I've watched many of your videos and you seem like a very gentle soul. I think the title you chose just taints everything, and the little inspirational excerpt at the end of the video feels disingenuous because of that. Or perhaps I'm just bitter that I've never quite "understood" the joys of Miyazaki's games. Or maybe its just disheartening to think that I'll never be able to inspire others as much as he has. Whatever it is, I just had to leave a comment. I look up to you, Adam. I hope you have a good day.
