I don't think people understand the amount of statements this man Mihawk has hyping him up and his power as the worlds strongest swordsman, what's worst is that Ty and Aero didn't even used statements like Mihawk and Shanks being called the strongest rivals which you can argue puts them in Primebeard's level if not higher which scarily makes sense as after fighting a young Kaido Oden straight up says that if he falls no one can take him down (as a reminder that's a Oden after his voyages in both Roger's and Newgate's crews) and you got guys like Shanks rivaling an adult Kaido. These guys are *really* f*cking strong

You're underestimating Big Mom too much. The Ace novels literally put her and Kaido above Oldbeard in terms of strength and haki, since the latter can barely use haki. She also NEVER went all out vs Kidd and Law based on her not using ACoC and only using one year to powerup. She also has fight left in her up until she dropped down the magma.

If feats are end be all then Garp was a fraud before Hachinosu, Xebec and Imu are frauds and Shanks was a fraud before Post-wano. People try to overcomplicate things with Mihawk. It's so simple. He is at least as strong as Shanks, probably stronger. Because if he isn't, then Zoro's goal to become the WSS is wrong since then Zoro's goal should be to defeat Shanks, not Mihawk. And yes, Shanks is a swordsman. Because there is nothing, but headcanon, that contradicts that. @@laraison6020 He probably doesn't even know Garling exists, since I imagine he really isn't the most public person, especially to anywhere beyond Marijoa. The same goes for Venusjuro. And Mihawk has no way of knowing that one of the five Elders, in this case Venusjuro, is a swordsman. So those things logically can't be held against him. And the last part about Shanks doesn't matter. Because it doesn't change the fact that if Shanks is outright stronger than Mihawk then Zoro's entire life goal is a lie and he should have been targeting Shanks as his goal as a swordsman from the beginning. Why would Oda give that title to Mihawk, just so that it ends up not being true? Do you think Oda would forsake Zoro's entire dream and make his achievement fraudalent? And even so Mihawk has the title of WSS and Shanks doesn't. Until Mihawk is defeated and someone else claims that title it's his. In boxing the guy that has the belt has the title of the best, until he is defeated.

Mihawk scaling is mega inconsistent. On one hand, he is stronger than Shanks, an Emperor, and on the other hand, he got stalled by Crocodile.

It's stated in Zoro vs Mr 1 that "a master swordsman never cuts what he doesn't intend to" every time Mihawk gets intercepted it's because someone blocked an attack meant for Luffy. As for Vista, Mihawk literally started their fight by staring at Luffy and monologuing instead of looking at the guy he's literally fighting.

Eveytime its a match up with current top tier like mihawk, shanks and kaido vs old top tiers like roger, primebeard and prime garb i'm usually like we don't know how the current scale to the old we have no way of knowing if they surpassed them or not. I personally tend to the current for the fact that the newer gen most of the times surpasses the old but there is really no way of knowing right now

2:18 Charlotte isn’t really above base Kaido like that. For one, Kaido’s durability surpasses hers pretty easily and the fight they had wasn’t even serious because neither of them really hurt each other and they were fine right after. In both of their respective final fights, they go on to state that the damage they sustain in those fights were more than anything they’ve been through in a long time further supporting what I said earlier.

But anyway, yes, roger and wb avoid unnecessary fights whenever possible (after all, they are not vicious pirates, they care about their crew members, they don't want them injured or killed etc), but they are NOT afraid to fight other yonko. The 3 yonko besides buggy (luffy, blackbeard and shanks) are not worried or afraid AT ALL to compete for the one piece, but Mihawk is shown to be. This is a fact. If Mihawk would be as ridiculously strong as to be above even a yonko, he would not be sweating and being worried to go compete for the one piece. In other words, Mihawk doesn't have the ambition/willpower to aim for the absolute top, and this translates to conquerer's haki (remember haki = willpower/ambition)

Blackbeard has planned so far ahead into the future and is really prepared, also has an insane crew of powerful devil fruit users. Shanks has a lot of knowledge on the One Piece, being the apprentice of Roger, and also probably has planned years ahead. Mihawk wants to live his life in peace and doesn't want to do shit with the One Piece. Having to fight the three other yonko with very powerful crews and getting thrown into a situation with zero planning and zero want to even do it for the sake of a fucking clown is outrageous, and his reaction is justified. Mihawk already fulfilled his ambition by becoming the World's Strongest Swordsman, after he trained relentlessly for years trying to become the strongest. All he wants now is for someone to surpass Shanks, which ties into Zoro being stronger than Shanks in the end. You can't use surpassing scaling for Mihawk to be weaker than Shanks if to fulfill Zoro's dream and Mihawk's wants for Mihawk to be defeated clearly state that Zoro has to be above Shanks. Both are stated in Mihawk's vivre card. If Mihawk and Shanks were still weak nobodies when they dueled, how come legends refer to their duels as legendary?

Honestly I think the idea of any true "Yonko tier" character mid diffing another is ridiculous to me. The sheer disrespect for Big Mom here is absurd. Oda clearly tries to portray Big Mom as an equal to Kaido with them fighting to a standstill for hours. Even if you think Kaido would ultimately win out in a battle to the end it's clear it would be a difficult fight. You're taking a throwaway insult from Kaido more seriously in your evaluation than the fact that Big Mom and Kaido actually have been shown to scale to each other. Also while Big Mom does use swordsmanship she clearly has a collection of abilities that add to that due to her fruit. It isn't like Shanks where both him and Mihawk are fighting with swords and haki. I feel like the OP fandom often downplays Mihawk's strength, but saying he mid difs Big Mom is ridiculous.

In other words, Mihawk wins because he's "World's Strongest Swordsman," and no other reason. Old Whitebeard and Kaido's World's Strongest Man & Creature titles can be ignored, cuz they clashed with Shanks, and Shanks is a swordsman, so therefore weaker than Mihawk. Yeah, no special pleading here. Imagine bringing up Whitebeard and Kaido clash with Shanks as a demerit when Mihawk can't even clear YC3 Jozu or YC5 Vista.

In a 1v1 agianst each Yonko separately he would beat all Except Primebeard. If he gets jumped he would get clapped 5 seconds into the fight or just leave. That's my take.

I think: Mihawk is the strongest swordsman in the sense of the art swordsmanship - this does not take other things such as haki und durability into consideration. So far, Mihawks feats are below that of the yonko IMO. If Mihawk was so strong, why didn’t he just solo Whitebeard at Marineford? Also the statement of Mihawk being on par with shanks refers to the time shanks had both arms and they were fighting regularly. Shanks probably has gotten a lot stronger since - ascending to yonko level. Shanks haki is so insane that even if Mihawks is a better swordsman, shanks is still stronger Kaido is the strongest creature, in a 1v1 always bet on Kaido. Titles matter in one piece. Kaido title I insane. By fighting all these characters on Wano and defeating luffy multiple times, it shows Kaido deserves this title. I don’t think Mihawk in a prolonged battle would withstand Kaido.

I think Blackbeard should be over Luffy but one thing in this video I kept hearing was the "haki trancends all". Kaido specifically says, "it can" and thats because haki doesnt negate devil fruit abilites. It just allows the users to fight against them. For example Mihawk cant just stop big moms powers from working. We have never seen anyone in the series do that. Haki is used as a weapon to fight aginst devil fruits, and negate SOME abilites. Law was able to overcome Doc Q's moves with haki but then why couldnt don chinjoa overcome Sugars. Are you saying sugar has stronger haki? No. haki doesnt just stop all devil fruit abilites from working. It only allows some, like Laws room, he isnt able to slice Kaido in half, but he can still hit him with gamma knife. From what i think with the sugar case is that it depends on how strong is your haki in general without comparing it to the df user basically if don chinjao could'nt do it is because he didn't have the necessary haki strenght to overcome the fruit but someone like kaido could do it

@@massimilianoreali4398 no the difference is that Sugar has to physically touch the person compared to Doc Q who can use it at range. One ability is stronger but need more conditions to use. Where doc q can use it at range but the ability is overall weaker

luffy's weakness to cutting attacks is jus over rated bc who's not weak against cutting attacks? its even shown on kaido only cutting attacks leave visible scars on his body safe to say everyone's weakness is cutting attacks the only reason luffy weakness against cutting attacks was brought up in the story is bc he cant take damage from blunt attack without haki which was early on in the story

Marineford just proved everything at this point, dude stopped training after Shanks lost him arm and stopped evolving (due to lack of kingly willpower thats probably why he dont have conquerors). He got stopped by Crocodile and Vista and I love how the glazers always says that ''he wasn't serious'' because he literally apologized to shanks for being at 100% against Luffy (the hit he was going to connect on luffy got stopped by crocodile..) People glazing him because he got the title of the world's strongest swordsman that NOBODY wants except for zoro, even now he says he wants to be the king of hell (name me 1 other person than zoro who wanted to be the world strongest swordsman lol). Mihawk also was very suprised when buggy claimed that he want the one piece (if he is above yonkos then why he would be suprised about this lol) The level of Mihawk is Yonko commander and if your statement is right why twould Oda introduce a second yonko level character at a war that is supposed to be equal on both sides. Only thing I disagree with is the buggy thing. Don’t forget mihawks sword is a permanent black blade so it’s already using haki, even though Haki transcends all it doesn’t literally stop fruits. Luffy had strong haki and didn’t neutralize kaidos fruit, so I don’t think haki would stop a devil fruit itd stop more of its effects on your body. Eg - law getting rid of doc qs fruit effect on him, and possibly if someone with strong haki were to be turned into a toy by sugar would be able to break out of it

I think some people need to realize that Buggy is just straight up immune to slashes regardless if they have haki coating or not, like if Sukuna (from jjk if you somehow haven’t read it yet) had haki and used malevolent shrine bro would still not be able to cut buggy. Doesn’t mean Mihawk can’t throw hands with his black fist though lmao

Considering oden tanked rogers attacks and Wb's attacks i can say mihawk if they can even touch him mihawk would be fine Wb considers Mihawk and shanks Fights of the past legendary must mean either 2 things both good feat 1.the power clashing could be felt across the world (thats how Wb even knew of them) Or 2. Yonko~admirals might be true for the original admiral trio post timeskip, but it’s pretty clear that pre TS the OG admirals were in their own sort of sub Yonko tier (still clearly above all the commanders as Akainu took on WBs crew combined). But he got hoed by Sickbeard, really badly

I think you vastly underestimate how strong Shanks, Kaido and Blackbear are. Let alone Whitebeard. I do think Mihawk can beat Kaiso, vs Blackbeard it would be interesting but he can most likely beat him, against Shanks is kinda a stalemate for me so I can't really choose. Vs Primebeard its not even a debate tbh xd. Old Whitebeard however not on medication and stuff like that would most definitely lose.

A better argument for Mihawk > Luffy is simply saying that Shanks who is proven to have better FS than Luffy who can shut off FS *still* lost to Mihawk. I would've also brought up Gear 5th's terrible time limit. Couldn't even get past Kizaru before he gassed.

Shanks never lost to Mihawk. Where the fuck did you get this info ? Headcanon again ? The reason everyone is calling Mihawk a fraud is BECAUSE he never defeated any of the strongest swordsmen including Shanks (who progressed since the loss of his arm, you don't gain 3 billion berries with just territories lol), Rayleight, Garling or Nosjuro... Mihawk is living throught Shanks feats, litteraly give Shanks a gun instead of a sword and nobody would say that Mihawk is yonkou level based on what we've seen from him and how other characters perceive this dude. Marco sent Vista to stop him and Joz stopped his attack easily (in the manga). He admitted himself that there was a gap between him and Newgate and failed to even engage in a fight with him...

Finally a reasonable mihawk agenda

So idk if this was the intention or not, but the video seems to imply that shanks is relative to old WB based off of one friendly clash between the two, and that old WB is above current luffy and BB because of this. That just doesn’t make any sense to me in any way. Current BB slams sick beard low dif since he can deactivate his DF, and sick beard’s haki can’t defend against that since it isn’t strong enough at the time, and current luffy has access to advanced haki, and by proxy better haki than sick beard’s, and haki transcends all. If im reading too deep into it, my fault, but show some respect to the current generation if im right, they def stomp sick beard. I got my own opinions abt Mihawk that imma keep to myself cuz I ain’t arguing that, but I do have a very different opinion than this video is all I’ll say.
