I converted to Catholicism. My son converted to Catholicism at the age of 17 of his own accord and calling, but when he went away to college he became radical an atheist and his life and family suffered for it. I had hoped he would one day join this organization, but... I will keep praying for him and reaching out to him. I want to believe it is never to late, but now he is a grown man with children. I pray like Saint Monica for his return. God bless your efforts.

Gail, I will also pray for your son. My father encouraged me to join the Knights of Columbus 20 years ago, and my faith has been strengthened ever since. Lord Jesus, bring Gail’s son back to Your Church.

Gail, I was that atheist. Trust that the upbringing you gave him, in the faith, has not left him. God will find his sheep wherever they have gotten lost. Hold the line and keep the faith. God is not finished gathering His sheep into His fold.
A basic foundation of knowledge for new KC brother, worth including in exemplification stage for first degree candidates. Vivat Jesus!

Sorry to hear that. I'd suggest two things. First, you can take the first step and join online at www.kofc.org/joinus. Then, if you still have difficulty getting in touch with your local council, try talking to the pastor at your church. He should be able to help.
