I loved watching Matt in the 90 He stayed loyal to the saints all throughout his career I've met him a few times ( blinding bloke)👍😉

I met this great player yesterday. He is a real hero. How he said me hello, asked about me! I was surprised. He really made me very happy. I will never forget that moment.

Naturally gifted, loved his club, morally decent.

As someone who lived through it, I don't think people today can understand how this guy was and how every weekend it seemed he'd do something you'd never seen before and it was almost just a part of life that you'd see what the giant clubs here did and then they'd say also look what goal LeTissier scored that's impossible 😂

how quickly this sport has evolved into a much higher proportion of participants in the top flight leagues wanting to just be another money grabber.

I was a decent forward til I broke both legs and my jaw in two places on a 50cc motorcycle. All I cared about was scoring goals til then. I didn’t even care whether we won or lost…… just that I scored.

England should hsve been built around him like Gazza before him like Wilkins and Hoddle before him

Not true he openly pushed for a move 2 years ago and said levy had a gentlemens agreement to let him go but Levy refused. He’s not signings a new contract for spurs and is going on a free next year. Levy refuses to sell him to an English club.

I saw this guy somewhere? Got it, he was on Countdown for a whole week.

He was a fantastic footballer, but what THIS clip shows us is exactly why he is flawed. It wasn't a game between 22 men. It was the MLT show. His ego is huge and this explains his ridiculous conspiracy theories. Tragically he's now looked on in the same way that people view Glenn Hoddle and David Icke!

A lot of bitter "big club" supporters on here. The fact that enjoying his football was more important than collecting silverware doesn't mean that he didn't want to win any particular match. He probably got as much satisfaction from helping his teammates stay in the Premier League than he would in helping a huge squad of internationals winning yet another trophy.

Tell that to the owners and you never get signed 😂😂
